Amazing holidays,
Right from the start up until the last day!
Everybody from the staff was kind, helpful and really involved. Rooms and whole island is very clean, maintained and feels like paradise. It's easy to gain some weight as the food is just excellent, vary on every dish and every day, everybody is going to find something for themselves.
I personally recommend to go for about 10 days. It really allows to enjoy and fully relax. Water, beach, colours are beautiful and pure. Atractions in the evening are bringing people together so don't worry that you might be bored on this relatively small island, there are actually plenty activities you migh love to do.
We've been at the start of September and we LOVED the weather, about 32C and light clouds, so not melting, burning hot, it rained only just once for about one hour.
We really enjoyed our stay and hope to come back some day, thank you Athuruga team, it has been a great pleasure to be your guest! :)

One of the best resort I have visited till now. The receptionists were really helpful and friendly. Great staff who knew how to serve the customer. The room was well equipped and the service was excellent. It felt like a private beach, very clean and clear water, a very good place to relax and chill. The scenery was beautiful and it was a relieve to walk in such a quiet and peaceful environment. The view of the sunset from that point was mesmerizing. Luckily we met Head Chef Fernando and Malik at Resort. They made delicious food for us. They prepared Indian food for us. Our family too much satisfied with food quality and service. Bar service also excellence. All respect for him who does a great job here. Excellent hospitality.

Our honeymoon at Diamonds Arthuruga could not have been any better. Every person working on the property did everything to make our stay extra special and always with genuine kindness while doing so. We also received our open-water diving licenses with Adam and Marco at iDive and they were so wonderful. They showed us different sites away from the island as well and knew the most beautiful spots. They were so patient with us and never got frustrated even if we made a mistake in training. Thank you to both of them for making our certification such an unforgettable experience. We also visited the boutique at the resort and even had custom outfits made with the help of the tailor on-site and the resort designer Tamara Saad. Her fashion ideas are always so lovely and she really knows how to help you feel beautiful and confident. We had to visit the resort physician as well, Ahmed, who helped by checking our ears after diving to make sure we would be able to continue to equalize property and he was so knowledgeable and kind. Every minute we were at the resort we felt taken care of. Every meal was a pleasure with Tito always making sure our bellies were filled with barbecue and the waiters paid attention to every detail (Ali, Muhammad, Abdullah to name just a few :) It is the most romantic and naturally beautiful vacation spot that we have ever traveled to and the facilities and the food and the villas were extraordinary. Thank you to everyone at Diamonds for making our honeymoon better than we could have ever imagined.

Serene resort with plenty of privacy. The water villas are far away from each other, so we felt pretty much on our own. Excellent scuba base and the underwater world is something else. The restaurant is also great.

We came to Diamonds Athuruga for our honeymoon and it was incredible. Everything was perfect. The views, the resort itself, the sea, the staff all were beyond amazing. The house reef is filled with colorful fishes, baby sharks, rays and turtles. It was fascinating.
To start with, we can definitely recommend staying at the overwater villas. We woke up to breathtaking views each morning. Imagine waking up and a turtle or a ray is swimming couple of meters away from your porch... Also the overwater restaurant is great when you don't want to join the main buffet in the beach restaurant. The staff is very friendly and helpful. I want to give a shoutout to Ameen who took very good care of us throughout the vacation.
The water sports team makes sure there is always something to do with excursions and snorkel tours. There are all sorts of activities like going for a whale shark safari, touring through the Ari Atoll, going to a local sandbank to take photos or simply a daily casual snorkeling tour in the house reef. Also they give you a pair of nice fins and a snorkel for free when you enter the resort which was very nice. The in-house marine biologist is very friendly and helpful. You can even adopt a coral if you want to do so.
But for us the highlight of the vacation was learning how to scuba dive. Both me and my wife never dived in our lives but we pretty much said "if not now, when" and decided to give it a shot on Athuruga. We reached out to the iDive team (Davide and Adam) and started our diving journey. It was one of the best decisions we made. Davide was an incredible instructor who took us from level 0 to PADI Open Water certification (diving to 18 meters, preparing our own scuba gear etc.) in the span of a week or so. We swam in incredibly beautiful spots with schools of colorful fish. We saw very colorful corals, turtles, sharks, all kinds of rays, murrays, octopuses, shrimps and many many more beautiful marine life. It opened a whole new world to us. We went for a dive (or two) every day after we got the taste of it. Davide was very supportive and friendly all through our journey. Truly we couldn't have asked for a better instructor. We very strongly recommend you give scuba diving a try if you are going to Athuruga.
