First time back in over a decade, this place is better than ever! The new entry is expansive and welcoming. The staff are exceptionally friendly and make you feel right at home immediately. The new lobby bar and party pool are high class and done exceptionally well. The atmosphere in the party pool with the loud thumping music didn't suit our tastes, but we could understand the draw. We chose to spend the majority of our days at the quiet pool which was a great idea! Jesus and Jonathan are the best bartenders at the resort, they were absolutely amazing! You have access to a swim up bar, lounge chairs, poolside beds, and beach beds. There are no charge for using the beds, you simply have to wait until 10:30 as premier members get first dibs. Any unclaimed chairs or beds you could then take for no charge. I would suggest that while the pool is quieter than the party pool, we certainly put on shows multiple times a day that were not so quiet! The new hot tub is expansive and has a lovely swim up bar. We typically moved to the jacuzzi in the evenings after the bar at the quiet pool closed. There are nice beds available by the jacuzzi, another great place to put on a show! The jacuzzi is open late, we were usually there till 3:00 a.m. every night. Personal preference, the club was a little aggressively loud for us, but it seemed lots of people had a great time with the themes. The new playroom is relatively small and the base from the club can get you off rhythm, if you know what I mean! Beds were comfortable and had a good height, seen fancier playrooms but with the jacuzzi, most people were outside rather than in the playroom. Do not hesitate to enjoy the spa services, there are many options that are fun for couples to experience. We particularly liked the fantasy experience with the surprise! Ely and Arely went above and beyond to make both of us very very happy! As far as accommodations go, we were very happy with what we received. We reserved a garden room and were extremely happy with the setup. Again beds were very comfortable and a very good height for all of our play! Would like to have had a mirror on the ceiling or additional mirrors in the room, other than that we didn't have any complaints. Some garden rooms even have French doors with windows allowing you to put on a show while you're in your room. We enjoyed the selection of adult movies that played continuously in the rooms. The cleaning staff were attentive and thorough. The food quality was very good, including the buffets. We really enjoyed the sensory dining, that pistachio cream is amazing! Don't be afraid to get a steak, it's not a filet but seasoned really well and when cooked rare melts in your mouth! We are already considering another trip later this year because we had such a great time, which is saying something as we live in Tampa where lifestyle resorts are available locally. The room cost seems expensive, but for the extreme relaxing pleasure you experience, it is worth every penny!

We were forced to cancel our reservation less than 24 hrs after booking due to an unforeseen unavoidable matter. The dates of stay were still over 4 months away. Per this propertys written policy at time of booking, as well as verbal promise from the resort, in this instance we were to receive a full refund within 45 days. As extreme as that felt, we accepted those terms, knowing that we would be paying interest on the $3200 they held in the interim. Well it has been 45 days, and when I called reservations and spoke to Sergio, we were told that "he had no status on our refund, and that they'd be in touch" (this is the reply we've received every time) When requesting to speak to a supervisor, Sergio stated that the manager would be on vacation for the next 30 days. Unless you are ok with donating thousands of dollars to this scam of a resort, STAY AWAY

This place is simply amazing!!! can’t even describe it, people are so welcoming, the staff went far and beyond our expectations. Carlos the guy from security at night is always on point and focus on his job. Martha is great! She solve everything and make our stayed outstanding! Alberto even sing for us, when we had our romantic dinner by the beach! Eduardo is so polite and always make sure that we had what we need! Africa! The super woman!! She runs back and forth never stop, always with a big smile making sure you are been take care:) Definitely going back soon!

The resort and staff are absolutely amazing The new pool and Eden area are top notch. The hot tub area is beautiful. Plus the beautiful playmakers are hot and incredible at keeping the fun going. The evening entertainment/shows are so amazing and sensual. We will definitely be going back soon.

I don’t know where to start Desire is amazing resort. With the new addition The Eden it’s even more gorgeous. Sometimes when places go bigger they lose that great service and staff interaction. Not here. So beautiful, relaxing, so clean and all restaurants are amazing. The pools are so clean as well as the beaches. If you like to hear rockin music and entertainment the Eden new pool is for you. If you like a little quiet then hit the OG pool. Both of both worlds. Now the staff is a whole different level..Always attentive and welcoming. First off we had Abel, and Amberto. Our bugles. Such wonderful men. They answered any questions we had made sure we were taking care every morning until the end of the day. They made our reservations for dinner and helped me when my husband got ill. They told me what to buy at the Lobby store and checked up on him to make sure he was feeling better. Which of course he did after a day or two. Over and beyond. Then there is Augustine, Ivan, and Ever. You can see Augustine at the new lobby/pool bar. Always has a huge smile on his face and loves to offer you a tequila shot. And always had our morning mimosas ready once he’d see us walk up. We enjoyed many conversations with him. Ivan will take care of you while you hangout at the quiet pool or beach. You’re never forgotten while relaxing in the sun. A lot of resorts offer a you butler service on the beach and you only see the once or twice. Not here. Ivan was very attentive and checked on us before we could finish a drink. Which we love. His cousin was working the pool bar with him and made amazing mixed drinks when we asked them to surprise us with something. You can find Ever at the beach bar. Which has swings for bar seats and shaded so you can take a break from the sun and enjoy his yummy drinks.. Ask for his amazing Espresso Martinis! With his splash of fire ball. So delicious. That bar is so relaxing as well to just enjoy the beach view and breeze. Wow! The resort is super clean and the guests are not pushy about the lifestyle . Everyone we’ve met have been awesome and even when we tell them we aren’t they still will see you and chat it up. So in conclusion if your thinking about going but nervous. Don’t be. Whether your into or not it’s beautiful resort with over the top and friendly staff this is the place. We plan to go back for our 9th trip in September. I’m already counting it down. Thank you to everyone from check in, lobby gift shop , waitress /waiters, butlers, bartenders, play makers, room attendants and grounds keepers. You are all so kind and hard working.
