Very good hotel. Not to busy at around half full, which is perfect for us. Not sure how it would feel at the height of the season. Lovely reception and helpful staff. Lots of pools, sunbeds and quiet areas. 1 pool heated. Food is good with lots of choice. We drank cocktails most of the time, made with local spirits but quiet tasty. Beach area is good. Shallow at the edge for kids, deep further out for swimming. Some building work taking place, but not very intrusive. Wifi not brilliant, some areas better than others. Lots of people trying to sell you trips and treatments. Outside the hotel there are lots of shops, but as always its hard just to walk around without getting pestered. We would definitely stay here again.

I spent a week with my family here (2 adults, one kid and a baby). The resort is great with excellent service. The food from all restaurants was very good, the staff is always concerned about your stay and wellbeing. Everything was very clean and well taken care of, including the garden. There were three pools, one of them only for adults, one with pool bar and the other with small slides. There is another part just with big slides. I highly recommend this hotel especially if you have kids,as they were very accommodating with mine. There is even a part in the main restaurant just for families in which there are small buffet for the kids to serve themselves.

The hotel grounds are huge and beautifully maintained. It’s a very nice hotel with clean rooms and stunning views from the balcony. We had a garden view, but there are also sea-view rooms available. There are a couple of restaurants on site, which is very convenient. The staff were friendly and helpful throughout our stay. The only downside was the sellers on the beach who approached us every five minutes offering trips and services, which became a bit annoying. Overall, a great stay!

We glad that we have been in Desert Rose Resort. It was our first time in THIS hotel and to be honest - we don't want to change it in the future. The location might be a bit different from what you expect ( if to compare with busy Sheraton street). But on the other hand you will have cozy , calm and attractive area inside the Resort. Food is tasty, swimming pools are many and on each taste. But what is more important - staff and people inside. A special care and attention. They are all good and nice. They are all hard working and friendly. But oh my God , I wish I could remember the names of exactly and concrete ones. There is even Egyptian Superman on the beach - who knows exactly when to bring you new , fresh and cold beer!!!

We arrived on May 18 with a reservation for two rooms booked through Trip.com (Ctrip). Upon arrival, the hotel initially refused to check us in, claiming that each room needed to have the guest's name specifically assigned to it. After contacting Trip.com customer service, they successfully resolved the issue and updated the reservation with the correct names for each room. However, a new issue arose. The hotel informed us that we had to pay an additional amount because we are Egyptian nationals and had booked through the Chinese version of the app. We were kept waiting for more than an hour and a half while the staff repeatedly pressured us either to pay the extra charge or cancel the reservation. If we had canceled, we would have lost approximately AED 2,000. This policy makes little sense from a customer perspective. If certain rates are restricted to specific nationalities or markets, the booking platform should prevent ineligible customers from completing the reservation in the first place. It is unfair to confirm a booking, allow payment, and then demand additional money upon arrival based solely on nationality. The entire situation appeared to be more about generating additional revenue than providing customer service. The reception staff handled the matter unprofessionally, and their attitude was not polite or customer-oriented. On a positive note, the housekeeping staff were very friendly and professional, and the rooms were clean. The food was acceptable, although not particularly impressive considering the hotel's rating and pricing. The property's location is undoubtedly excellent and one of its strongest advantages. Overall, the experience was disappointing due to the check-in issues, poor customer service, and lack of professionalism at the reception desk.
