We had a peaceful and chill long weekend with friends. We really needed a quiet few days away from Dubai. The rooms were clean and comfortable and the food was also really good - especially the buffet selection. There was a lot of maintenance happening, which is fine, but maybe that could be done in the off-season. We got involved with some of the activities on the island, and there was plenty for us to choose from. We took the safari ride, mountain biking, horseback riding and kayaking. All were very good generally, however the kayaking was disappointing - we didn’t experience it as it was advertised. We understand it depends on high or low tide, but if that was the case it would’ve been better for organizers to change plans.

A special place in the Arabian Gulf, while it was always going to be a long drive from Dubai the serenity the resort provided was well worth the journey. We saw the resident rock Hyrax's and Gazelles and enjoyed the infinity pool looking out onto the ocean. The food was excellent plenty of choice and really good quality too. Turning to the rooms, spacious, clean and comfy beds with nice pillows. Saving the best for last - the staff are fantastic, all caring for us from the second we arrived and making an effort so we had a great stay. Some went above and beyond and making a special call out to the manager of the rooms who saw to it that a special request was met. Thank you to all at the Desert Islands Resort for making us have a memorable stay.

Very relaxing and quiet resort, suitable for families with small children. Available Activities were numerous but a bit pricey. Food options were all very good. Service was on point, special mention for Harish from the housekeeping team for being extra helpful and friendly.

This is my second experience in Anantara Sir Bani Yas. I loved the experience so much during my first stay that I came back again, however it was during this stay that I don’t think I will come back. The hospitality and the service is below what’s expected at a 5 star hotel. Before our stay, I would call in the morning to inform them to please note that we have a case of severe gluten allergy and that if the hotel doesn’t accommodate we would bring our own food since the island is a 4 hour drive and things aren’t accessible. I called the night before to double check this information, since the morning staff never gave us an answer, come to find out that they didn’t even put it in the system !! Secondly, the Spa was completely disorganized as we tried to find a way to book and had the front receptionist help us and we booked for the second day of our stay. On the second day, the spa calls us and tells us that there are only males available to do the massage which is honestly a very stupid question to ask considering we are Muslim Arab women !! How is that even appropriate or allowed ?? On our conservation drive with Khaled, I don’t understand what his issue was for singling me out and focusing on British guests and answering their questions while ignoring me or not even trying to strike a conversation but was all giddy and cheery with them. And also, I feel like he is not well informed to answer some of the questions that we asked about the animals. Seemed as if he was making stuff up. However, the Safari drive with the South African (I forgot his name) was an absolute sweet heart and truly made the drive the best thing we experienced on the island. We saw all kinds of animals, including the one I’ve been wanting to see the most, the giraffe as well as teach us all about the Island’s animal and the ecosystem. Lastly, the restaurant Savannah, completely messed our order, however this was the one time I saw properly hospitality where we got a proper apology and compensation. Certain, hotel staff need serious retraining as it’s completely unacceptable for paying visitors to experience this. This is a once in a life time opportunity for people and it’s not an easy accessible island, I really wish certain staff took it into consideration.

I recently had the pleasure of staying at the Anantara Desert Islands Resort & Spa, and overall, it was a memorable experience. The journey to the island on the allocated boat, however, was less than ideal. The boat was uncomfortable, and the seats were incredibly uncomfortable, making the half-hour ride feel like an eternity. I highly recommend that the hotel consider upgrading their boats to ensure a more comfortable and enjoyable transfer experience for guests. Once on the island, the beauty and luxury of the resort quickly made up for the boat ride. The rooms were lavish and comfortable, providing the perfect retreat after a day of exploration. However, I do believe that the hotel could benefit from offering more activities on the premises. While the desert safari was a fantastic experience, having more activities within the resort would provide guests with more options and enhance their overall stay. Additionally, the hotel's restaurant, while offering delicious food, was the only dining option on the island. Having more dining options would provide guests with greater variety and a chance to explore different culinary experiences in same premises. No activities rather than to book a safari ride only
