Running on-Dinosaurs
This is a medium priced hotel but with 5 star service. Every single member of staff goes out of their way to help you. The facilities are excellent. The buffet breakfast was great with an extensive array of food for all dietary needs. This is included table service for hot drinks and a grill chef for hot food ( omeletts, eggs etc made to order). For the price we paid I could not fault this hotel. We paid a bit extra and used the Lounge that provided a hot breakfast and Free drinks, including alcohol, every evening between 18:00 and 20:00 and 24/7 Fresh Tea , coffee and snacks. The hotel location makes for an easy walk to tram and metro stations and even quicker walk to the marina, the Dubai Marina shopping mall and beach. The pool is good size with plenty of sunbeds a pool side bar and towel bar. The pool gets full sun from arround 09:00 to 13:00 every day. In all a great place to stay for a visit to Dubai. I saw some comments about the waiting times for the lifts, this was not a problem for us, with in excess of 40 floors the longest we ever waited was just over 1 minuet. The room was excellent had a nice balcony overlooking the Marina. So just could not fault this hotel, like any business it's only ever as good as its staff and I can't praise them enough the warm welcome they offered us.

Great location, free parking and friendly service. Room has basic furniture but the bed was comfortable. I had 2 single beds and the hotel made a king bed by putting additional mattress, which was nice. Front desk staff is very friendly and accommodating. Club lounge offers happy hour (6-8pm) with a variety of bite size food and a few beer/wine, soda and coffee. I really enjoyed the lounge. Breakfast buffet also offers typical breakfast items, salads and freshly made juices. Overall, I was happy about this Sheraton hotel.

We had a lovely stay at Delta hotel: we received a room at 2nd floor but we asked if possible to get one at upper floors and we got one (same deluxe guest room as on 2nd floor) next day at 15th floor, with a lovely view over the Marina. Breakfast was delicious and there were plenty of options. Also, we tried lunch and once more, the food was very tasty. Staff was friendly, they go above and beyond to make their customers happy: they planned a b-day surprise for my husband without prior communication about this and it was indeed a surprise for both of us. Furthermore, we spent almost every night on the 35th floor lounge as we enjoyed the view on both the sea and the Eye but also over the Marina, cocktails are great and we really appreciated Tariq’s service and kindness, he’s a great guy and we thank him for everything! Worth mentioning that the hotel is very well located: 5 min to the beach which is a lovely walk and pretty much the same to the Marina. Tips for your journeys at Delta: it is close to DMCC metro station so make the most out of this because you can reach Old Dubai, Burj Khalifa, museum of the future, the frame.

Unfortunately, I can’t give the Delta Hotel more than 1 star. This was a holiday I had saved for over a long period, planned specifically for my 40th birthday. Sadly, it fell far below expectations. Before arriving, British Airways Holidays advised that there would be “some disruption” in the lobby— i phoned them and they advised perhaps a few ladders and some painting. This was completely misleading. When we arrived, the hotel was undergoing extensive renovation, to the point that the only way into the building was through service corridors. This wasn’t minor cosmetic work; it was major construction that heavily affected the guest experience. The worst thing was the floors below us were being renovated: When I asked to move rooms due to the noise and disruption, the staff were not particularly pleasant, though they did eventually move us three floors up. Unfortunately, this didn’t solve the problem and we could still hear the noise On the first day, I became very unwell (through no fault of the hotel), and all I wanted was to rest. This was impossible due to the constant and extremely loud construction noise from the floors below. It was genuinely unbearable. It feels like Marriott has chosen to keep this hotel open purely for profit, despite it clearly not being in a fit state to host guests. A global company of this size should not be putting people in the middle of a construction site. This is not a small, family-run hotel that has no choice—Marriott absolutely could and should have closed the building during this level of refurbishment. Failing that only the very top floors should have been opened Another significant issue was the lifts, with only two functioning. Wait times were around 10 minutes just to board, and when a lift did arrive it was usually already full. This meant there was effectively no chance of visiting the bar on the top floor, as you could never get close enough to access it. As a result, we often had to walk down the stairs, which took around 15 minutes most days. PLEASE THINK CAREFULLY BEFORE STAYING HERE: there are better value hotels than this one: which was a massive disappointment To their credit, they did offer us breakfast for two days, and the staff in the breakfast room were friendly. The location next to the Marina is also convenient. However, these positives don’t outweigh the overall experience. We ended up moving to the Hilton Garden Inn for the final two nights, which was a far more pleasant stay. I would strongly advise anyone considering this hotel to be extremely cautious for the coming months, as the refurbishment is clearly ongoing and is likely to continue. Do your research In my view, the building should be closed entirely until the work is completed, and guests should be relocated to another property rather than being subjected to this level of disruption. I have recently had further correspondence from BA holidays who are adament that they were not informed by the Marriott as to the extent of this work : the Marriott have advised us they fully informed BA Holidays.

Five-Star Review for Delta Hotels Jumeirah Beach, Dubai: I recently stayed at Delta Hotels Jumeirah Beach, Dubai, and I can confidently say it was a fantastic experience, especially as a wheelchair user. This hotel truly deserves a five-star rating for its accessibility and outstanding service. Accessibility: The two-bedroom unit we stayed in was fully accessible, exactly as promised. The roll-in shower had a fold-down seat, the room had perfect height adjustments, and even balcony access was convenient. They made sure that everything was comfortable and easy to use. While the pool access wasn’t fully adapted, I’m not mentioning that in the review because overall, the accessibility was excellent. Concierge Team: A huge highlight goes to the concierge team. They were incredibly helpful in arranging taxis for us multiple times, especially when we faced issues because I didn’t have a local number. They really saved our day more than once and made our plans run smoothly. I can’t thank them enough for their dedication and support. Tom, Fathi, Bini, Bishal, Dilip, Tanish, and Taher thank you so much for all your help, never forget your attention to details and a special thank you to Haris, who did an extra work for me. Your work made me feel very comfortable and I was sure I won’t stuck somewhere without my van!!!! Room Adjustments & Service: I’d also like to highlight the housekeeping and maintenance staff. They quickly adjusted the bed height to match my needs and provided an extra shower chair within an hour. The cleaning was impeccable, and the team was always ready to help. Huge thank you to Iftikhar for managing it for me and multiple double checkings. Dining: The breakfast was amazing — a fantastic buffet with delicious fish, dumplings, fresh fruits, and plenty of great coffee. Huge thanks to the chef and the entire dining team for starting our days on such a positive note. Chef Vaishakh is the best, thank you so much for a few extra kilograms gained :D don’t know how to live forward without your fish and dumplings. Thank you the whole dinning team for making even more special a birthday for my mom. Such a nice unexpected surprise!!! Overall: I’m grateful to the hotel management for maintaining such a high level of service and quality. This was a truly comfortable and welcoming stay, and I’d highly recommend this hotel to any wheelchair users visiting Dubai. Thank you again to the whole team!
