The staff is absolutely dedicated and very kind and 100% service oriented. We felt in the time we stayed here very well treated.
Also the breakfast is rich with everything you need. Sparkling water would be a benefit.
The only small downside maybe the side „garden view“ where you see on an empty not tidied building space …
Due to the flood during the day you can’t lie at the beach and the pool side is very crowded and sun umbrellas are rare… if you swim a lot or don’t care you will enjoy here a lot. In the eve they
Put up tents for dinner at the beach - very nice. All in all - we tested at least 10 hotels during our time in Thailand this time - and this one can be recommended.

Great location. Traditional modern Thai rooms. Large bathroom containing bath tub and separate shower. Lot of wood furniture. Very nice!

Decent hotel for the money actually. Pool is ok and the room not bad just old. Room was clean enough. AC was super noisy tho and the food was terrible and expensive from the restaurant. Can easily get much better food with better service for half the price further down the road. Lots of people complaining about mosquitos but I didn't see any. The fish pond is a nice touch.

i wish i could write a better review about this place. when we arrived the room didn’t look like the picture and felt a lot smaller in size. the room smelt damp so they used oil diffusers to cover the smell. as soon as we turned the diffuser off the room just smelt and felt so damp. i developed a horrible cough and it would only get worse in the damp room. there where mosquitos in the room despite rarely opening the balcony and door. i was getting bitten in my sleep and so was my partner. the wifi constantly disconnected and i could barely update my family on anything that was happening as nothing would send. my partner got food poisoning from the food at their restaurant. the set up was beautiful that they did to us for our honeymoon but unfortunately my partner got very sick for 3 days. there was also barely any sunbeds available and was always very busy. we also found the guests to be quite rude and it wasn’t a pleasant environment.
despite the negative review we do thank the staff for being very lovely and trying to make the stay better for us. the staff are very kind and bought us breakfast to our room, more water and fresh towels. the buffet breakfast was also nice.
unfortunately this is not how we imagined our honeymoon and deeply wish this doesn’t happen to anyone else.

We stayed at Dara Samui for 6 nights and it was a great value for money.
The property is tightly managed, professional and efficient staff, anything raised gets addressed immediately.
Key benefit is the location in Chaweng, surrounded by bars and restaurant, with direct access to a long stretch of beach
Breakfast is great including an egg and crepes station. I liked the fact that fruits, vegetables and cold cuts are displayed in a closed part of the breakfast area and covered so no issue with flies
Rooms are comfortable
Walk to the beach side is very comfortable through well maintained gardens and ponds
Only 'downside' was the limited number of sunbeds by the pool and the sunbeds with a metal frame so not too comfortable with the heat. I provided my feedback directly to the team and it was well received. For our next trip to Koh Samui we will definitely consider staying at Dara Samui
