We came to Daios Cove for our honeymoon and were absolutely blown away so much so that we extended our stay! If you’re a honeymooner looking for that perfect mix of luxury, relaxation, incredible facilities and service, this is the place. Everything about the resort is next level. The setting is stunning, the rooms are beautiful, and the service is flawless. Every staff member we met was kind, warm, and went above and beyond to make our stay special. The room service team, pool bar staff, and the teams at Ocean and Taverna restaurants were all amazing and the pool/beach attendants were just as friendly and helpful, always ready with a smile. The cocktails were seriously impressive, and the food was spot-on every time. Make sure you go for the all-inclusive option, you absolutely won’t regret it. The setting is breathtaking – the view of the private cove and the sea is mesmerizing, and the overall atmosphere is peaceful and luxurious. My room was spacious, spotlessly clean, and beautifully designed, with every comfort I could ask for. The food was excellent – fresh, diverse, and presented to the highest standard. The service from the entire staff was exceptional – professional, attentive, and genuinely warm. Stunning location, excellent staff but sadly too many rooms crammed in this beautiful cove, resulting in overcrowded pool/beach/restaurants etc & massively over-worked staff who literally do not stop, regardless of the 38 degree heat etc. The lack of enough sunbeds on the beach, due to the limited size of the cove, creates unsavoury competition, resulting in obnoxious behaviours by certain types and crying from others! Bunging the towel-guys to reserve the best beds was a practice employed by many, which is something I abhor. Unfair and a rather irritating reminder of the self-importance of some. We didn’t use the pool but, judging by the overcrowded beds and large amount of children crammed in the tiny children’s pool tacked on to the main pool, we didn’t miss anything! Rooms were mediocre, at best. We stayed in a two-bed, sea front, wellness villa which smelt slightly of sewerage, was incredibly lacking in space (to the point that there were no bedside tables!?) and had very limited wardrobe space. The toilet was literally through a glass door right behind the main bedroom, meaning my husband’s head was extremely close to it! A very strange room layout. The second bedroom had no shelf for phone charging, water, books etc to make up for the lack of beside tables, no hooks for towels or dressing-gowns and felt slightly like an afterthought. Housekeeping was varied but the rooms were generally clean. Not exclusive enough to warrant its 5 star rating. Would benefit from losing a number of rooms thus creating more space and a less mass-market feel.
