We had a wonderful stay at Crown Paradise Cancun, and several staff members truly stood out. At the buffet La Palapa, Ángel de la Rosa and Aurelio did an excellent job—always attentive, kind, and quick with drink refills and table service. They made every meal feel easy and welcoming. In the Executive Lounge, Jerry consistently took amazing care of us, especially with his outstanding coffee service in the mornings. His attention and warmth made the lounge a highlight of our stay. A special shout-out as well to Marco for the awesome music in the Executive Lounge—it created such a relaxing and enjoyable atmosphere. We also want to thank Ari in Guest Services, who was very helpful, professional, and responsive whenever we needed assistance. Her support made everything smoother and more enjoyable. Thank you to these team members for making our experience memorable. We truly appreciated the care and professionalism throughout our stay.

Overall, this is a great place to stay and this is our second time and my daughter and her husband stayed here about 3 weeks ago. However, Jesus the bell man failed on 2 occasions upon arrival and departure. Upon arrival, he failed to deliver our bags on time to our room. Angel, an older gentleman was very efficient after we found him near our room and helped retrieve our bags quickly. Also, he was very helpful with questions we had. Then on departure, Jesus again approached and assure us that he would take care of our bags and make them available when we wanted to leave. We saw him a few minutes into the wait and he assured us he would be back in five minutes, but never returned. To make sure we could catch our Uber, we found Angel standing in the front and available, and he helped my husband retrieve our bags quickly. When someone’s on schedule to be at the airport, it is imperative to be reliable and timely when helping guests. On the other hand, Angel proved to be courteous, professional and efficient.

This will be a long one. I have looked at reviews prior to our trip and they are confusing because they are all over the place. I want to make a detailed review based on our experience. Overall this place is a hard earned 3 stars but not more than that. We traveled with a breastfed 9 month old. Food: The food is subpar its definatly not what you pay for as the food has no taste you will not go hungry but you will not enjoy the buffet. ****also the line to get to the buffet is long anytime you go and the food is not worth the wait. ***Restaurants*** *The Mexican restaurant is full out disgusting the food has no taste. I had better Mexican food. *The Steakhouse is AMAZING everything about it is amazing. *The Italian is also subpar we didnt finish anything and went to the buffet. *The French restaurant - we were not able to go as they do not allow children there even small babies and all have dress code which seems unreasonable in a 3 star resort. The pools and the beach are great with good bars and fast service. However: seems like some staff will have rules bend for people that speak Spanish and will not for english speaking as it was noted in the buffet when a Spanish speaking couple entered in wet bathing suit and they refused entry to the buffet to an english speaking couple wearing dry bathing suits. Rooms: We were a group of 26 people and in one of the couples room the ceiling in the bathroom just dropped. The tubs were re-sealed many many times and its visible. The rooms definitely need some updating. Bring babies to the resort: The resort is kids friendly but not baby friendly. Crib was requested and promised but on arrival they said they dont have any. Also, no freezer in the rooms to store frozen breast milk but did allow us to store it at the front desk small freezer after several tries. OVERALL: We Will not be coming back to this place as our second hotel was Rio Playacar and it is far better than this one but is also more expensive. If you have no little kids and dont care about the food quality then I think this place is the perfect combination for you. Like I said I took into consideration that it is a three star resort.

Very Disappointing Experience This is my first time staying at this hotel, and unfortunately my experience has been extremely disappointing. From the very beginning, I was poorly treated by the reception staff in the lobby, as well as by the staff member responsible for restaurant reservations. I am a mother traveling with my three children and my husband, and despite that, I received no empathy, no support, and no proper assistance. I was unable to make restaurant reservations because your system/app showed an error and did not accept my bookings. Instead of helping or finding a solution, the staff told me — word for word: > “I cannot help you today. Come back tomorrow.” As a result, I was forced to eat for two days only at the Mediterranean restaurant, simply because it does not require a reservation. I was told that “the application cannot make mistakes”, which is unacceptable. I am an IT engineer, and I know very well that any mobile application can have technical issues, and professionals should always consider the possibility of system errors. At your hotel, this reality seems to be completely ignored. In addition, the receptionist’s attitude was rude and unfriendly. The way she spoke to me was disrespectful and unprofessional. What is even more concerning is that most of the waiters treat guests in a very disturbing and unequal way. For example: I went to the bar to ask for a juice and was told “it’s closed”, while at the same time I clearly saw staff serving juices to other tables. In the morning, I asked three times for coffee, while other guests were immediately served full coffee and milk carafes. It was very noticeable that guests who do not give tips or give tips in pesos are treated differently, whereas I always give tips in US dollars. This kind of behavior is unacceptable and unethical. Overall, this hotel is an address to avoid: The hotel feels very old. The kids’ play areas are outdated and poorly maintained. The food quality is very poor — especially at the only restaurant I was able to try, the Mediterranean restaurant (the only one without reservations). Honestly, the food was not good at all. This experience does not reflect the standards expected from a hotel of this category. I am extremely disappointed and would not recommend this hotel to families, especially those traveling with children.

Check-in staff was good, but there was a lack of communication. The room was neat and clean. The laundry was also clean, but they use strongly scented detergent, which they should mention in advance. It was hard to find options for vegetarian people, and the pizza’s cheese was off-taste. However, the room service we ordered was great. The staff were nice and friendly, though communication was sometimes difficult but manageable. Overall, it was a moderate experience mainly because of the food.
