Lovely hotel in great location on most amazing stretch of Grand Anse beach complete with powder soft sand and turquoise water. The room was spacious and clean with a balcony overlooking the grounds which were beautiful and well kept by the hard working gardeners. The beach was a minute walk from our room and we could take loungers from grounds onto beach. Lots of trees in grounds and on beach for much needed shade. The staff were helpful and very friendly-especially the general manager who was such a lovely man. The water was filtered so drinkable and the plugs were 3 pin same as the UK! Kayaks and snorkel equipment was available.

Excellent resort. Excellent food and service. Beautiful beach. Quiet resort with almost nightly entertainment. Not a party atmosphere so if youre looking to party and drink till the bar closes every night stay somewhere else or go to a local party place. I highly recommend.

Disappointed is an understatement. As seasoned travelers (hostels to luxury resorts), this was the worst overall accommodation experience we have had. With the exception of 1 employee, we were consistently treated as though our presence was an inconvenience. This response was consistent from check-in to wait staff at the one meal we cringed through. When a smile and ‘hello’ is met with silence, grumble or overt rudeness it is baffling! Please spare yourself and do not stay here. If you must, do not get the ‘all inclusive’ package as the food is truly awful. ZERO flavor catered to a significantly older audience. We purchased a bottle of wine at our first (any only) dinner on site. The bottle had gone bad (straight vinegar) and they would not refund. We ate out every other meal. Besides the food being flavorless and overcooked, the service was terrible. This is not an ‘island time’ thing, this is a horrible service thing. We booked a 2pm pick up snorkel excursion through the hotel. We discussed with the booking representative that we would be returning from our conference around 2pm and we were assured this would not be a problem. Well….the pick up left at 1:45pm. We were basically told ‘oh well’ and offered a more expensive shorter trip the following day….no other options. Beach was nice. Rooms and amenities were outdated but ‘fine’. The first night before we went to our abismal dinner, I shut all the doors and turned the AC unit on. When we returned ~2 hours later, my entire floor was flooded as water was pouring from my AC unit. I honestly thought the room above me had a burst pipe. An hour after calling the front desk, a maintenance employee arrived with a shop vac. Definitely not 4 star hotel level.

After two weeks at Coyaba - I can say that is comfortably the most relaxed I have ever been. The service from the team at the hotel is easily the best I've had from a holiday. Friendly, helpful staff. Comfortable room. Beautiful grounds and surroundings. One thing I wasn't sure about before I went was whether, having had to go "gluten free" in the last 12 months, I was going to be limited on my choices. I wasn't. The staff, to a person, ALL understood and indeed catered for it perfectly. The pastry chef team (yes, 4 of them) apparently have been for overseas training on GF/special dietary requirements foods and dinner times were rounded off with exquisite hand made gluten free desserts that were BETTER than everyone else was getting. (Pictures attached). At breakfast, didn't have to ask for GF toast, or GF pancakes - it just magically appeared at my table. The team all took the time when I arrived (without being asked first) to verify what meals and dishes were safe for me. They even subbed out the soy sauce for GF soy sauce on the evening their chef made sushi. Then there was the rest of the holiday - sailing each day in the hotel's Hobie Cat. Snorkel trips with the EcoDive team to the underwater sculptures and reef. David and the Guest Services team arranged a number of customised trips for us to the waterfall, nutmeg farm, Tri-Island chocolate factory and more. The main restaurant has a dress code - which we saw subtly and politely enforced - (it does have a more casual restaurant as well) - which meant dinners were stylish affairs where you could dress up and not feel out of place. High speed internet and wifi throughout for those that need it. Nearby supermarket for supplies (100 yards away) including a chemist. For a wedding anniversary/Christmas/New Year holiday - it was absolutely perfect and my thanks to the ENTIRE team for their welcome, their care and attention and their friendly banter/conversation and fun. For so many hotels - they "sell" a good holiday and talk of their "way" - in this case, the hotel UNDER sold how good they were. They're better than they promised, and they promised a lot.
