Beautiful hotel, stunning well kept gardens & in a stunning location. Hotel staff went above & beyond to make you feel welcome. Staff were very friendly, helpful, professional & polite. Hotel was spotlessly clean, our room was kept spotlessly clean, good quality complimentary toiletries, plenty of coffee & tea etc. Fresh towels & beach towels daily. Beds turned down nightly & complimentary chocolate & flower petal very nice touch. Excellent WIFI throughout hotel. Excellent food throughout our stay & plenty of choice. We stayed all inclusive drinks were good quality & plenty of choice. We can certainly understand why the the hotel has so many repeat guests returning. We will definitely be returning to the Coyaba Hotel in the future. Very well ran traditional family hotel.

We just had a fantastic stay at this resort. Great location, lovely quiet beech outside the very well maintained resort gardens and staff are very friendly and happy. Such a relaxing place to stay which had 2 restaurants and a beach bar. We had a first floor room overlooking the sea so great location. Would be happy to return there and we booked following recommendation from friends who are going back next year. Rooms need a bit of updating but other than that we were very happy. Added bonus is you don't need plug converters as they are UK 3 pronged sockets!!

We spent a week at the Coyaba from March 11 to March 18. We have never been to such a place that we would describe as perfect according to our preferences. The excellent food, drinks and service made up for the basic but comfortable rooms. The food choices are limited but are cooked to a very high quality relative to any all inclusive at this cost. This resort is an intimate kind of setting with only 80 rooms and is not a colossus as you would find at Punta Cana where there is a veneer of luxury but it is never particularly satisfying. You are just a two minute walk from your room to the Grand Anse beach which is marvelous. Loungers are plentiful. The owners of this resort should be grateful for their staff; they are impeccable. Every employee, even those not directly involved in customer service roles such as the groundskeeping and maintenance folks were gracious and kind. I wish to single out Richard Findley for his incredible kindness and graciousness. We will be returning.

Disappointing Stay at Coyaba Resort I recently stayed at Coyaba Resort in Grenada with my mother, and we had a very disappointing experience. For context, my mother is in her 50s, and I am in my 20s—we were by far the youngest guests at the resort, which seemed to cater almost exclusively to a much older crowd (70+). We are seasoned travelers and have stayed in all types of accommodations around the world. Unfortunately, this was the first resort we’ve ever had to leave before our initial departure date due to how poor the experience was. Here are the key issues we encountered: Room Issues • The room had only one sink, which was inconvenient. • Sheets were pilled and uncomfortable, and the blanket provided was thin and inadequate. • We found ants in the bathroom, which was gross. We called to report this, and it was taken care of, but it was still an unpleasant experience. • Our room was located near the laundry, making it extremely noisy at all hours. • Upon check-in, we were told our room wasn’t ready. We struggled to change in a closet, only to be told 15 minutes later that the room was ready. Resort Atmosphere • The resort felt extremely dated, like it hasn’t been updated since the 1970s. Even small details, like mismatched light fixtures, added to the outdated feeling. • Entertainment was almost nonexistent, and when it did happen, it was late. • Netting over the eating areas was very unsightly and detracted from the dining experience. • While the resort was dated, we did feel safe on the grounds, which was one positive aspect. Pool and Beach Problems • The pool was essentially unusable due to scuba instructors conducting trainings throughout the day. • There were zero umbrellas on the beach, leaving no shade. • Roaming dogs and vendors frequently approached guests on the beach, which made it unpleasant. Most of the elderly guests avoided the beach entirely, sitting on the grass instead to avoid being disturbed. • Pool towels were limited to two per day, with no option to exchange them. Dining Experience • The food was nearly inedible. A hard-boiled egg and watermelon I tried were both gross and unappetizing. • The menu seemed tailored to an older crowd with bland options like beans, stale rolls, and overcooked vegetables. • Serving spoons were kept in water, which felt unsanitary. • When I ordered a burger, it came with something random on the bun. I asked what it was, and they simply said “paste.” When I asked what “paste” was, they couldn’t explain it. • Food orders often came with random condiments, with no consistency or explanation. • The resort had no almond milk or Splenda available, which seemed like basic omissions. • The breakfast toaster didn’t work, and staff only informed us it was broken after we spent time trying to use it. • Creativity in food options was nonexistent, and despite paying for an all-inclusive package, there were unexpected upcharges for certain items. • Bottled water was not readily available—we were told to go to the supermarket to purchase our own. • The food quality was so poor that we skipped meals entirely on multiple occasions. Going without eating during an all-inclusive stay is unacceptable. Other Concerns • The gym was dirty, with outdated equipment (some 20+ years old). Half the machines didn’t work, and while we were using it, someone came to clean, spraying chemicals that made it difficult to breathe. Overall, this resort fell far below our expectations. The lack of comfort, quality, and hospitality made it impossible to enjoy our trip. The dated facilities, unappealing food, and lack of attention to detail made it feel like the resort hasn’t been maintained in decades. If you’re looking for a vibrant, relaxing, or welcoming stay in Grenada, I’d strongly recommend looking elsewhere.

I'm very pleasantly surprised at this place. All the little things done right. Top notch service, great food, nice beach. You can't go wrong staying here.
