Constantinos The Great Beach Hotel

We consider the trip successful overall, although with some reservations. The hotel is located right on the beachfront, providing very easy access to the sea and a swimming pool. At the beginning of October, there was no problem finding sunbeds, even for six people together. Most of the staff were friendly and helpful. A big advantage is the location — directly from the hotel you can access the main promenade with numerous shops, restaurants, bars, and car rentals. However, the hotel is showing its age, which is most noticeable in the rooms. They require renovation — the furniture is quite worn, and cleanliness was questionable. The room, especially the bathroom, was not thoroughly cleaned. In the common areas, there were also visible signs of wear and damaged elements of the equipment. A serious drawback was the noise in the rooms. We were accommodated on the third floor, on the side facing the Flamingo Hotel, and it was possible to hear sounds from the corridor almost all the time — conversations, cleaning staff, or doors closing. The hotel also hosts weddings lasting until late at night, and from the early morning hours, there was noise from deliveries and maintenance work outside. The food in the all-inclusive restaurants was tasty, with a fairly good selection. However, breakfasts were quite monotonous – it would be nice if at least two dishes changed from day to day. Guests can choose from five à la carte restaurants. We can recommend two of them: Los Amigos (Mexican cuisine) and Kohili Food Stories (Mediterranean cuisine). The others disappointed us with both service quality and food — after dining there, we usually went back to the main restaurant to have a better meal. As for the all-inclusive drinks, they were fine, though much depended on the bartender. Some prepared drinks carelessly, often omitting ingredients. A major downside for all-inclusive guests is the limited access to bottled water. It is available only during bar opening hours, with a limit of two 0.5-liter bottles per person. While this is not a big issue during the day, it becomes inconvenient in the evening when you want water for the night or plan to leave early for sightseeing — it’s simply not available anywhere. The hotel offers various daily activities: children’s animations, concerts, shows, and sports classes. There is also an indoor pool and a gym available. In the immediate area, you can find plenty of additional attractions such as water sports, diving, motorboat rentals, and massages. Overall, I think it’s possible to find a much better hotel in this area for a similar price. Five stars seem like a serious overstatement.

The hotel is generally good, but there are several details that seriously affect the overall impression. If you can book it at a discounted rate — go for it. However, at full price, I’d suggest looking at other 5-star options, as this one doesn’t quite meet that standard. Grounds and maintenance. There are many beautiful palm trees around the territory, creating a pleasant tropical feel. However, the use of potted plants is poorly thought out — especially inside the hotel. Most of the plants are dried out or neglected, and in some pots there’s nothing but bare soil. Overall, the landscaping lacks proper care and attention. The reception staff also left a negative impression. They are the face of the hotel, yet their attitude was indifferent and unhelpful. We weren’t informed about meal times, the SPA, or sauna — things that should be a basic part of check-in. Restaurant and food. Restaurant staff are excellent — fast, attentive, and friendly. Tables are cleared promptly, and drinks are offered without delay. The food quality is great — fresh, tasty, and varied. This is definitely the hotel’s biggest advantage. Bars and facilities. The beach bar could use more attention to cleanliness — clutter behind the counter and staff smoking or scrolling on their phones create an unpleasant impression. It doesn’t make you want to order anything. The pool is large, but the ladders are wobbly. Sunbeds are comfortable but worn out by the end of the season. A weekly power wash would make a big difference. Many umbrellas don’t stay fixed when opened. Rooms. Upon check-in, we found a hair tie from a previous guest and dust in the corners. The bathroom surfaces weren’t cleaned properly — there were gel marks on the tiles. The room clearly needs a light renovation — patched walls are visible. On the balcony, ropes are tied to the railings for drying swimsuits, which looks unattractive. Colorful towels and clothes hanging from balconies spoil the hotel’s overall appearance. Installing simple wall-mounted folding drying racks would be a much better and neater solution. Conclusion. The location is great, the beach is beautiful, and the food is excellent. But the unfriendly front desk staff, neglected plants, lack of attention to detail, and small maintenance issues prevent this hotel from being a true 5-star experience. If you find a discounted deal — it’s worth staying. But at full price, it doesn’t quite match its claimed category. Итог. Пляж прекрасный, расположение отличное, кухня на высоте. Но неприветливый персонал на ресепшене, неухоженные растения, отсутствие внимания к деталям и мелкие недочёты в уборке не позволяют назвать этот отель полноценной «пятёркой». Если цена по акции — можно закрыть глаза на недостатки. Но по полной стоимости отель не соответствует заявленной категории.

If you are expecting 5 star hotel please do NOT book this hotel! At best I would give 3*( telling from my own experience as I have stayed in 5* hotels around Europe). We went half board ate lunch only once the food was poorly prepared, no taste and we had to pay for apple and orange juice to have it with the meal !! The breakfast all the time the same. The sun-beds are dirty and most of them do not have table so you have to put your drinks in the grass. The room was spacious but toilet needs urgent refurbishing and TV needs more channels in English. The bed was very comfy. Very important there are only 2 lifts for over 400 rooms so expect to wait long time for the lift. Unfortunately during our stay one of the lift broke so only was available for a day… if you are elderly or disabled please keep this in mind. I am speechless about the behaviour of the guests. I think it would be good for the hotel to advertise about diversity. I speak few languages so it was very upsetting to understand how they speak about staff/ another guests with different colour of skin, disgusting behaviour by hotel guests !!! The only good thing is the location but there are so many hotels with the same locations so please do your research. This was my first and last stay at this hotel. I am very disappointed.

This hotel is really bad. I got a room with a balcony right next to where the hotel holds weddings. There was a wedding for 5 days with a lot of noise and loud music until 12 at night. The air conditioning did not work in the room, I went down and said it twice without it being fixed. When you order drinks in the restaurant, they only come when you have finished eating. The hotel had also run out of pool towels. The shower in the bathroom did not work, it only dripped with water, so a bath took at least 15-20 minutes. The toilet was loose and was about to tip over. They do not change the bed linen. There is an incredible amount of noise and extremely loud music all day down in the pool, and there are many children who fill the entire adult pool instead of using the children's pool. I would strongly advise everyone to choose another hotel than this. 5 stars is a parody for this hotel, it's max 2 stars. I've been to Cyprus 8 times and this is the ABSOLUTE worst hotel

I stayed here for 7 days the most depressing hotel I been too no entertainment the hotel it’s self has old furniture no where near 5 star if your going to stay here make sure you booked all exclusive if not they will charge you for drinks and even water the food gave me bad belly for 2 days worst experience of my life will never come back to Cyprus because of this hotel there is absolutely nothing to do in this hotel rude staff dirty sun-beds on the beach I don’t recommend this hotel at all full offf old couple who are retired and if your Asian your not treated nice this is how I felt with my family so don’t ruin your holiday at this depressing hotel
