My family and myself spent an absolutely amazing vacation at the hotel. Great thanks to the management and reception team who considered all my requests paying attention to many extra things which are not available in over 5 star hotels around the world. Restaurant team was doing outstanding job all the time. We visited all restaurants at the hotel and food and their service was truly excellent and provided on high standard level. This hotel would be a perfect choice for families with kids as hotel has got a great kids club with awesome team who is ready to help you taking care of your kid any time. Excellent and outstanding work guys over all. Keep it up! The place we definitely want to come back again!

We had an absolutely wonderful stay at Constance Prince Maurice. The resort itself is stunning, with beautiful surroundings, impeccable service, and luxurious accommodations that made our visit truly memorable. A special shout-out to RAJESH on the beach—he went above and beyond to make our stay enjoyable and ensured that we had everything we needed. His friendliness and attentiveness really made a difference. We can’t wait to return and highly recommend this resort to anyone looking for a relaxing and unforgettable getaway.

Almost everything about this hotel is world-class. The public areas of the hotel are stunning, and there is a real sense of peace, privacy and tranquility. The vast majority of the staff we encountered were extremely friendly, service-orientated, genuine, and highly competent. The food and drink offerings are superb, and the all-inclusive package is very extensive. Based on these factors, the price tag would absolutely be justified. However, there is a huge, glaring issue with this hotel - the rooms themselves. Frankly, these do not come anywhere near the level that the rest of the hotel operates at. They are dated, tired and in absolutely desperate need of refurbishment to reach even the standards of 2015, never mind 2025. The only modern things in the rooms are the TV and the coffee machine - things that can be carried in and require not ‘real’ refurbishment of the rooms. It’s clear that the more ‘colonial’ dark wooden style is part of the vibe that the hotel is going for, which is cool, and it’s what attracted us. However, this is no excuse for not bringing the rooms up to basic standards of 2025, especially given the price tag and the quality of the rooms offered by competitors on the island, and we were rather shocked at a number of things. The most significant aspect of the rooms that all potential guests should be aware of is the presence of all manner of wildlife inside the rooms, and that management accept this as a ‘normal’ aspect of the hotel. If you hate the thought of bugs, spiders, and/or lizards in your room, I guarantee that you will see them here, so think twice before booking. In the first three days, we saw geckos, various bugs, ants, and several pretty large spiders. My wife is severely arachnophobic, so this was a nightmare for her, and meant she couldn’t settle in the room at all. Maybe for some guests this isn’t an issue, but it absolutely was for us, as we were just pretty grossed out and totally unable to relax in a hotel room which we had paid a substantial amount of money to relax in. It got to the point where we spent as much time as possible outside of the room because we just didn’t want to be in it. Housekeeping, and later management, were very responsive when we raised this, so this is absolutely no criticism of them - far from it. We were upgraded to a villa, a much more expensive room, which was massively appreciated and totally unexpected. However, whilst we didn’t see any more spiders, this (incredibly expensive!) room also sadly had several insect infestations, notably in the bathroom. On the last morning, I woke up to find ants crawling over my pillow, and also my toothbrush, which was quite disgusting, but at this point, it was really too late to mention anything directly. We were often told ‘Mauritius is a tropical island, so this is normal’. Whilst I am somewhat sympathetic and would expect to see the odd ant or even spider in the room, it is the frequency with which different insects and animals found their way into both rooms we stayed in which clearly suggests that there is a problem here. We had recently arrived from a competitor hotel and saw literally nothing in our rooms. I have also visited multiple tropical countries and I have never experienced such an invasion of wildlife into the hotel rooms - even when staying at resorts a fraction of the cost of the Constance. I don’t know whether this problem is due to the older, poorly sealed rooms, or related to pest control limitations given the nature reserve the hotel is part of, but it is really not acceptable for a resort of this calibre. If the latter, then the hotel really needs to do a much better job of being explicit about the wildlife to be found inside rooms during the booking process - this would certainly have caused us to think twice before choosing this hotel.

We are just on our way back from our honeymoon where we spent the last 6 livings in Constance Prince Maurice. Our stay was truly fantastic - the food and drinks were exquisite, the service and friendliness of the staff truly world class and we had a lot of fun with all the activities from golf to waterskiing. The 3 restaurants each have their own distinct vibe with daily changes to the menu so you’ll never run out of options. Some reviews mention the rooms being slightly outdated - we loved our room personally with a view on the lagoon (amazing breakfast on our terrace final day) but it’s true that little things like a Bluetooth speaker or usb-c chargers would be good to have. However this took nothing away from our amazing holidays. Special shout out to Sachin who’s cocktails and stories were inspiring! Hope to be back soon - a very special place which you can tell by the number of repeat guests. Best from Wim & Pauline

Wow, absolutely spoiled forever by this amazing resort 🤩🤩🤩 Such a beautiful beach and pool area, both with plenty of very comfortable sunbeds embedded greatly in the lush tropical landscape. Everything is super spacious and luxurious. The boat house crew is great and offers a perfect variety of watersports. Very friendly and top quality service level overall with a nice personal and authentic touch - each team member on its own is truly making a positive impact. Big thanks to Vikash our beach manager, we loved your positive and passionated attitude and the incredibly great service - Big shout out! Many thanks to Hurry the manager of the Asian Restauran being an amazing host, let us feel truly welcome and wishless happy. The lagoon restaurant „Barrachois“ is another highlight… as we have been there in July („winter“ - we recommend to bring a light jacket for dinner). Our villa was directly facing the ocean, having a very comfortable bed and I loved the facht that also the balkony door can be opened/locked separately… so you walk directly from your room to the beach. A wish would be a remote control for the AC and electric windowblinds (but we really talk about the last remaining space for a cerry on the cake). The room service is spot on and really clean. The gym, sports and spa-area is great and we are blown away by the friendly and top level front desk crew including the butler service, so incredibly helpful! Many thanks to all of you, we will surely come back!
