We stayed at this hotel for just one night after an unexpected change to our travel plans. Due to a rebooking by Emirates, we missed our connecting flight from Mauritius to Rodrigues and had to spend a night in Mauritius. In the end, it turned out to be a huge stroke of luck in an otherwise unfortunate situation, because we absolutely loved our stay at this hotel. Upon arrival, we were welcomed extremely warmly and kindly by the staff, which immediately made us feel comfortable. We were also pleasantly surprised with an upgrade to a sea view room, even though we had originally booked a garden view. The room was spacious, beautifully designed, and very clean. The bed was extremely comfortable and made for a great night’s sleep. Dinner at the buffet restaurant was fantastic. The selection was incredibly diverse and the quality of the food was excellent. The staff were exceptionally friendly and attentive throughout the evening. We also received a wonderful wine recommendation, and in general the wine list is truly impressive. After dinner, we enjoyed cocktails at the pool bar, which were also excellent and a perfect way to end the evening. Breakfast the next morning was another highlight of our stay. There was truly everything you could wish for, with a wide variety of fresh and delicious options. Overall, what started as an unexpected overnight stay turned into a wonderful experience, and we would gladly come back.

We had an absolutely wonderful stay and cannot thank the entire team enough for such a warm and memorable experience. From the moment we arrived, we felt genuinely welcomed and looked after. Every member of staff was friendly, attentive, and always smiling — the atmosphere they create truly makes this place special. A very special mention goes to Rebecca, who went above and beyond to ensure our stay was unforgettable. Her kindness, attention to detail, and willingness to help at any time made a huge difference. Beautiful quiet resort among the wonderful nature of the South coast. The beach is sandy but often windy and wavy, not the classic club-like beach with loungers and a beach bar, nevertheless very beautiful and perfect for long walks in the nature. The hotel premises are classy and beautiful and food quality is very good. I was impressed by the Indian and the grill restaurant, but also the breakfast and evening buffet offer a wide variety of international and local specialties (best crêpes ever!). Some rooms are a bit outdated, I would strongly recommend the ocean view rooms who are in a much better state. A big thank to Imen and Nicolas who are real trouble shooters and made our stay amazing! There is a big range of complimentary fun activities (from yoga next to the beach, to snorkeling to rum tasting…), we liked all of them. Kudos to the trainers, especially Jonathan. The hotel is located close to the airport but you won’t hear airplanes’ noise, and it is close to some of the most important attractions of the island (Chamarel, Le Morne Brabant, Catamaran Tours of the east coast etc.) Overall it’ s been a relaxing, amazing stay.

We had an absolutely unforgettable stay at Anantara Iko Mauritius Resort & Villas! Our family, with two young children, felt completely at home from the moment we arrived. The resort is stunning, with beautiful rooms, pristine pools, and breathtaking views. (We stayed October 2024) The staff that need a special mention are; Rekha, Zeta, Syntha, yudish, Sanja, Avindash, Matai, Auntie V and Queeny (from the kids club) and the wonderful Chef DeePraj. What really made our stay exceptional was the staff—they were genuinely warm, attentive, and went above and beyond to ensure we had everything we needed. Every little request was met with a smile, and their kindness made our holiday so much more special. The kids’ club was superb! Our children were thrilled with all the activities and loved making new friends, giving us some much-needed relaxation time knowing they were having the time of their lives. We can’t recommend Anantara Iko highly enough—it's perfect for families, and we left with amazing memories that we’ll cherish forever. We can’t wait to return!
