We recently stayed at The Colony Hotel for the second time and enjoyed the nostalgic charm of its Art Deco style—it really captures the spirit of South Beach. The location is unbeatable, right in the heart of the South Beach strip, with easy access to the beach, shops, and nightlife. The on-site bar and restaurant were great for relaxing in the evenings, and the vintage aesthetic added a lot of character to the experience. Our room was a bit noisy, likely due to the lively area, but that’s to be expected with such a central location. Overall, if you appreciate classic Miami vibes and want to be in the middle of it all, The Colony is a solid choice. We’d stay again.

I really liked my stay at the Colony Hotel. Even though it’s right on Ocean Drive with music playing outside, it was surprisingly quiet in the room—I barely heard anything, even in a room close to the lobby. The hotel has a cool 80s charm but is modern and comfortable, with a big bed and a large LG TV. The beach is just steps away, and although there’s no private parking, a big public garage is only a 3-minute walk and had plenty of space, even on the weekend. Staff were super friendly, and overall it was a great experience. I’d definitely stay again—thanks for the warm hospitality!

The location is pretty much the reason why I'm giving this place 3 stars. The staff was friendly and helpful, too, but the location was the best part for me. I wanted to workout on the beach, and I was able to do just that. Even though the location was perfect, the room I was in had a dingy smell, and the bed was kind of uncomfortable. I was also scared out of bed due to the fire alarm being set off in the middle of the night. So overall, it was just okay.

This hotel offers excellent value for money. The location is right on Ocean Blvd. in the heart of the action. The ocean view room we got had great big windows to take in the lovely view. Very bright and you could feel the energy of South Beach. The service was wonderful from everyone we interacted with. We got in well before check in but since the room was already available it was only a short wait until we were in our room. The rooms are older and could use a refresh and, yes, it can get loud, especially since we were right on the beach side above the restaurant, but all in all, we thoroughly enjoyed our stay. Given the price we paid, we were very happy.

You have to love this old art deco piece of Miami history. Granted the tacky Scarface-themed restaurant, bar, and lobby are eye-rolling, but this isn't the Ritz-Carlton, it's Ocean Dr.! Good value for the money, and you cannot beat the location if visiting South Beach. Right in the middle of it all!
