COMO Cocoa is a truly stunning and exceptional resort — I first visited in 2022 and returned in 2025. On my 11 Maldives trips, this is the first resort I’ve visited twice. Como cocoa feels like a scene straight out of a movie. It’s incredibly peaceful, quiet, and breathtakingly beautiful, with a pristine lagoon and powdery white sandbank. The house reef is good for snorkeling. Nearby, there are world-class dive sites like Kandooma Thila, where you can encounter a lots of grey reef sharks and eagle rays. Dining at COMO Cocoa is impressive. The quality of the food are outstanding, and the service adds to the overall luxurious experience. COMO Cocoa is one of my favorite places in all of the Maldives. Highly recommended.

Great resort and an amazing experience! The island is small, peaceful, and perfect for a relaxing getaway and The food is absolutely incredible, and the service is top-notch. The staff are always smiling and incredibly friendly, making the stay even more enjoyable. Highly recommended!

It is difficult to find the words to describe just how good the COMO Cocoa Island resort is.The island is very small but perfectly formed. We had booked to go to the Maldives for a Music In Paradise event, so cannot claim to have found ourselves here due to exhaustive research, but rather as the most alluring option for the package we chose. But what a wonderful outcome as our stay was just perfect. COMO Cocao Island is an exercise in offering understated luxury. It is so incredibly well run and the excellent staff work so well as a team that they make looking after you and catering to your needs seem so effortless when it is surely due to much hard work behind the scenes. There are only just over 30 villas but even if the island is booked out it feels very private. There are a lot of activities on offer, including three amzing house reefs to snorkel. Morning starts with Yoga helped to get the day off to a great start. It is amazing just to be able to swim in the sea directly from your villa. If you are a foodie then this romantic island is a real treat and the chef and kitchen staff are incredibly talented and offer up truly delicious fare, with nightly specials to keep the menu options dynamic. Ravi at the bar is master at mixing cocktails - we recommend you ask him for suggestions as some of the most tasty concoctions are not listed on the menu. We had a unforgettable stay and are already plotting our return (Arta - you are warned!)

If you are looking for relaxation, personal service and good food, you are in wonderful hands here. A wonderful resort, Arriving and checking in is quick and easy, This tiny island is by far the most relaxing one we have ever been on and the level of service this Como property deserves all the praise! The level of detail and personalization was incredible. Amazing food, beautiful beach, The house reef is in great condition and full of life. The resort manager Arta, Our Butler Nattey, GSA Uthoo /Sithin/Sultan/Muru/Fanny and all the staff members were so kind and pleasant. The staff seem well looked after and happy and thus their service is from the heart and not forced. Such a pleasant experience and relaxing vacation. Would highly recommend!

Late review – apologies. My husband and I stayed at COMO Cocoa Island in December for 4 nights. Unfortunately, that just wasn’t enough time, we wished we’d stayed longer! This place is HEAVEN ON EARTH! Firstly, it’s only a 35 min boat ride to the island from Male. We were met immediately at the airport, then taken directly to the boat and off we went. From the minute you step off the boat, you are met with a wonderful warmth and welcoming manner by everyone. The island is perfect. We took the early morning flight and were checked into our villa immediately. Our first night was spent in one of the Dhoni Water Villas, which was beautiful. The décor is minimalist, clean and white, which we loved! You could lie in your bed and look straight out to the water. These villas are beautiful, spacious, and deliciously comfortable. The next day we moved to a One Bed Pool Villa, another stunning villa with more luxury. The staff are all amazing, Muru took great care of use throughout our stay, and we loved Ravi’s fabulous cocktails. The food was incredible! The snorkelling is amazing, the best spot is the deeper pool out from the pool area. We saw turtles every day, reef sharks, and the whole cast from ‘Finding Nemo’. Dolphins were seen a number of times off the island. The water is crystal clear and we love seeing the coral conservation work been done. We did some paddle boarding and kayaking, more amazing and friendly staff at the Water Sports Centre. This is a 5th trip to the Maldives and this by far has been the best experience, we are booking our next visit soon. Can’t wait to return! S&M Dalton
