Rooms are a good size but could be cleaner. Great size balcony too. The resort is very steep in places & guests with restricted mobility should be aware of this. The location is a 5 minute drive from the Old town. Pools are great but we found the main pool bar expensive, I think it was €3.50 for a can of Coke. 5pm check-in is a disappointment, especially if only doing a short stay.

It was an ok hotel, but would not say it met my expectations as a 4* star hotel. The rooms and facilities were clean but require a lot more maintance. There was a lot of ants and other insects coming into our room, which made us uncomfortable. We booked a room with a bed and sofa bed, and expected the sofa bed to be made as we reserved the room for 3 but had to pull it out, and make it ourselves. I dont believe the room was even prepared for 3 as there was not enough towels or bedding. We only visited one of the pools which was clean and nice but there is no lifeguard and the pool bar was never open during our stay, despite it saying online that it would be open. The resort is massive and getting around is a pain, and instructions were very vague at the check in desk. If you have a car you will have no problem getting around but if you dont then it will be difficult. The walks to various areas of the resort can be long and can be uphill too. The resort pays for a free taxi from the reception to areas within the resort, but if you want to travel from your room to a different pool or restaurant then you need to pay for a taxi ourselves. This was not clearly explained to us at the front desk - they had said to us that they pay for taxis within the resort but we found out the hard way that it was just taxis from the reception. We managed to get ubers to pick us up and drop us directly outside of our accomodation so didnt have too much trouble after we figured this out. It was a shame however that we weren't able to explore much of the resort itself due to the transport issues. Though the staff were friendly, service was quite frequently slow. We requested extra towels and bedding which came hours later. Our room was made up 3 days later but bedding wasn't changed and the soap and toilet roll was not topped up. We ran out of toilet roll at midnight and called up the front desk who asked us to for more but they told us they were alone at the desk so couldn't drop it and wanted us to walk there which is a 15 minute walk at night uphill. This is not what you would expect from a 4* hotel - they could have sent it via taxi. Overall I would say it's ok but has significant room for improvement.

Amazing place, the swimming pools are great! The rooms need some maintenance, but that's ok. I wish they had more playgrounds for small kids

When I was looking for Clube Albufeira’s location, I came across some negative comments, which made me a bit worried. However, after staying here for three nights over Christmas, I found everything to be good. The staff were friendly and helpful, and the room was clean. I believe everyone staying here also needs to help maintain the cleanliness; we can’t expect the housekeeping staff to do everything. Overall, I’m glad I had an enjoyable stay.

We stayed here for the new year, 6 nights. We stayed in 242, the apartment was very nice, big, with working AC's and with all the equipment. The downside was that the room was very dirty, we had to call the cleaning. Cleaning was supposed to go every 2 days but that was not the case. They came at 3 days and never came back. We had to ask for toilet paper in reception. The washing machine was not working, it was informed 2 or 3 times and the machine was never replaced. Loved the space and the hotel, but the staff was not organized/working properly. As the staff and service are one big thing in a hotel stay, they fail a lot in this field. Improving it would change my review.
