We stayed at the Cleopatra for 5 nights recently after having moved to the hotel from a noisy air BnB. Upon booking and check in we had expressed a desire to have a quiet room. We were even sold an upgrade to make sure we got a quiet area. Unfortunately these requests were ignored as well as the upgrade fee making no difference as we were put in a room overlooking the Hard Rock which was playing very loud live music until midnight. Upon returning to our room after dinner we immediately realised it would be impossible to sleep while the music was going on. We went to reception to ask about changing rooms only to be met with a response of “you’ve booked a hotel in the party area so what do you expect”. Whilst I understand the sentiment and the lady did proceed to try and help this felt like a very rude comment to make considering we had done all we could to get a quiet room and there was no warning on their website to say noise would be an issue late into the night. The lady on reception showed us another room which was a downgrade but no mention of a refund for the fee I had already paid earlier in the day. Once challenged she went back in her previous comment about not having any quiet rooms and said we could move but it would have to be at 3pm the next day. Once the music stopped at midnight that was just start as then you had loud drunk people, staff smashing bottles and deliveries throughout the night. Once we did move it was a lot better but still issues with various noise throughout our stay. The hotel itself is a little strange as common areas are well maintained but the rooms are dated and need a bit of a refresh. The breakfast was ok. Nothing special and we were a little put off by the presence of cockroaches climbing near the fountain and several dead ones floating in the water. Overall this isn’t somewhere I’d stay again as in general I don’t see why you’d spend a decent amount of money on a hotel that is so noisy.

This was our 3rd visit, last visiting in 2021. We noticed back then that refurb work was required and expected this to be carried out 5 years later. This is not the case. The main reception and atrium appear quite nice but there’s many observations we made in and around our room: - Despite reporting a faulty tv remote control it wasn’t fixed 100% - The card receptacle controlling power in the room was loose on the wall. - The bathroom door has been soaked and swollen and very unsightly - Drawers that don’t obviously close properly. - The once attractive chandelier type lights in the atriums around the hotel are now a bit shabby looking. One of these was dismantling slightly when wind was blowing in from the pool area and dropping small pieces onto the floor below. - our balcony door wasn’t initially locking. This was repaired. - The hotel (as others have noted) is quite dated in various ways. - our room was very near the Hard Rock Cafe and music from there was quite loud until ~11:30 Good points are: - Location - Cleaners and all other staff do an exceptionally job. - Bed and bedding was very comfortable - A safe is supplied and free of charge. Breakfast was excellent as was the music from the charming pianist Erika. We’d love to return but not until a significant upgrade /refurbishment is carried out.

The hotel staff were polite and friendly from day one with welcome champagne and drinks. They had a nice small bed for my little one, along with some kiddy toileteries to make her feel special. The rooms were very clean. The pool side is quite huge with a good bar. The hotel was in front of the beach so very conveniently situated to all amenities. I had a great experience staying there.

Just back from staying here in March 2026. From the moment we arrived the staff were very welcoming and attentive. We were offered a glass of Cava, but as I don't drink alcohol we were offered multiple different drinks to choose from. During check-in we were looked after by the wonferful Oliver, who made sure everything was sorted out. Throughout our stay all the staff were very helpful and friendly. This hotel is in the perfect location. Just behind the Hard Rock cafe away from the busy main street. Your room key card can also be used to open a private gate onto the beach which is just a few metres away. My trip here was to celebrate my birthday. So imagine my surprise on the mornig of my birthday I awoke to find a letter had been slipped under the door to our room. The letter wished me a happy birthday and told me there would be a surprise awaiting me during breakfast service. I was prresented with a lovely little cake and two glasses of bubbly and the resident pianist played happy birthday. They do this for everyone celebrating a birthday during their visit. A really nice touch. I must be perfectly honest and say that while this is a fantastic hotel in a great location I think it is due a bit of a refurbishment. Don't get me wrong, everything is very clean, but there are some signs of wear.

We had a great stay at this hotel, mainly thanks to its excellent location. It’s perfectly situated in Playa de las Américas, just a couple of steps from the beach, restaurants, and all the main attractions, definitely a big plus. We stayed in two different types of rooms. The standard room with a balcony was spacious, comfortable, and overall a good choice. It does show some signs of age, scratched furniture and damage bathtub and would definitely benefit from some renovation. However, the cleanliness was good, and you can easily overlook these details, as the room still remains nice overall. The hotel itself is beautiful and very well maintained. Breakfast was excellent, and the pool area is spacious, quiet, and relaxing, with a nice bar. However, I strongly do NOT recommend the rooms with a private pool on the terrace (top floor). We stayed there for three nights, and despite the room being very large and the terrace beautiful and clean, the experience was disappointing. The private pool is not heated, something that was never mentioned during or after booking. The water was freezing and completely unusable, making it pointless to even have it. Another issue was the terrace exposure. We were assigned a “sunset side” room, but in reality, the terrace stayed in the shade until around 3–3:30 pm, making it quite impractical to use for most of the day. Considering the price, almost double compared to a standard room, it really felt like a waste of money. It’s surprising and disappointing that a hotel of this level doesn’t offer heated private pools or clearly communicate these details. Overall, I would recommend this hotel, but only for the standard rooms. Avoid spending extra on the private pool option, it’s simply not worth it.
