Top luxury beach resort in Sri Lanka. They are delivering true class through every touch point during the stay. The swimming pools, beach, gardens and the riverside bring that perfect getaway vibe. The rooms were spacious. Easy access to the garden and pool. The food is top class, one of the most scrumptious spread for both dinner and even better for breakfast. The pink hopper and some amazing Sri Lankan curries along with chinese, Indian and western cuisine is out of this world. Great people proving good service by the pool and the restaurants. Check in and check out was smooth. The only problem is the price, I think those booking directly or through online agencies are paying so much higher than those who book via tour operators. Those who book direct don’t seem to get any extra value for the premium we are paying. Some amazing water sports available which you can book with local suppliers on the beach. We also spent some quality time on the beach, one of thr best beach spots in Sri Lanka.

From walking in from the car park to the reception, we were immediately captivated by the striking staircase and the beautifully designed ceiling adorned with traditional, colourful batik fabric. Nature is seamlessly woven throughout the property, with water features, natural rock pools, and stunning swimming pools creating a tranquil atmosphere. On one side, the breathtaking beachfront offered unforgettable moments—from warm sunset swims to witnessing baby turtles being released into the ocean. On the other side, the beautiful Bentota River provided equally stunning views and a range of exciting water sports activities. The service was truly exceptional. From the Front Office Manager and Resident Manager to the Guest Relations team, gardeners, and security staff, everyone greeted us with genuine smiles and went above and beyond to ensure complete guest satisfaction. The rooms were equally impressive, offering stunning views, plenty of natural light and airflow, and all the modern amenities needed for both weary travellers and leisure seekers alike. Dining was another highlight—every restaurant delivered outstanding food and beverage experiences, with delicious offerings that left us wanting seconds. What began as a last-minute, spontaneous booking quickly turned into a memorable stay. We left Cinnamon Bentota Beach knowing it has become our top go-to destination for all future travel.

We recently stayed at Cinnamon Resort with my wife and our 1-year-old daughter, and honestly, we already miss this place so much. It’s an extremely baby-friendly resort, and the staff were incredibly kind and accommodating to every request we had. They even arranged a beautiful anniversary celebration for us and were very flexible with our needs, which made the experience feel truly special and personal. The room was spacious and comfortable, giving our little one plenty of space to move around. The kids’ play zone was another big highlight. Most importantly, my daughter absolutely loved the stay—seeing her enjoy the place so much made the trip even more memorable for us. We created some wonderful family memories here and would definitely love to visit again very soon. Highly recommended for families with young children!

We received a wonderful welcome from Sansala and her colleagues. Denhami gave us a guided tour of the historic hotel and she helped Hasith and the Guest Relations Team take care of us throughout our eleven nights at the hotel. They arranged a trip to Galle for us and made our Golden Wedding Celebration very special with a table arranged with flowers and a chocolate cake . We booked half board . The buffet had a vast choice of tasty dishes. Nothing was too much trouble for the all staff who made our visit so enjoyable. The beach was smooth sand and very clean. Pool attendants were very helpful and the pool at staff were friendly. We had a wonderful holiday and the staff worked as a team throughout the hotel

A beautiful place to stay with excellent service and dedicated staff. Our room attendant Oshada was so friendly and diligent. The executive chefs went above and beyond to ensure we had a memorable stay with a variety of fresh food from a range of cuisines. We participated in a number of their resort activities including a cooking class where we harvested the vegetables from their garden and then learned how to make authentic Sri Lankan curries and rice. The stay at this resort was just perfect as we had been on a tour and needed to relax in luxury.
