What a great hotel rooms are spotless cleaners are lovely even left us a flower on our beds. Food was great plenty of options for everyone. The pool bar is just brilliant there was a young man working there his name is Emiraldo was always so polite and happy always good for a chat the drinks and cocktails were amazing the bar food which we had most days was very favourable. The pool was nice and relaxing with plenty of beds for everyone. The reception staff were always on had to help with all your needs and even upgraded us to a sweet when we arrive we stay in 518 what a great room with a sun trapped balcony the air-conditioning is excellent I really mean that. The room had a TV with all the apps so you can sign into your own account to watch TV. You get room towels and they give you beach towels which is a big help there's a little shop that has snacks which was very handy. I highly recommend this hotel as we felt really at home here. There are numerous restaurants nearby and some lovely beaches within a 5min walk. Thank you for everything ❤️

Immaculate and clean at all times. Extremely attentive and kind staff. We really enjoyed the food and the pool area is so chill. We was relaxed the whole time here. It is easy to get buses into busier towns or to walk to local taverns that are also really lovely. There's not much to do other than chill but it was perfect as we would go on excursions or travel out for more if we wanted more. Would recommend this hotel to people wanting to relax.

We stayed here for 7 nights during August. First of all I have to thank all the staff. Their kindness and effort is just incredible. Everyone has been super friendly and mindful. We arrived after 9pm so dinner has been already served but they have been so nice and prepared a pasta salad for us that they offered us even before we checked in. In general the food is freshly made, tasty and some options vary everyday. They serve Greek specialties, Allrounders like Bolognese, some vegetarian options, salads, fresh fruit and delicious desserts. The staff always makes sure that dirty dishes get cleaned straight away and that you have everything that you need. Empty options got refilled super quick. For breakfast we asked on the first morning for decaf coffee and never had to ask for it again. Every morning they brought it on their own for us - which I call excellent service! Only minus: if you don’t eat pork or are vegan there might be days where you don’t have a lot of options. The rooms are spacious and clean. We slept very well in those comfortable beds. There is no real separation between the bathroom and bedroom. But we are used to that from other hotels and it didn’t bother us at all. Each room has it’s own Balcony and also a really good A/C - which is quiet, so you can sleep with it. Housekeeping has been excellent and one day they even left fresh flowers for us in the room. The hotel is located between two busy roads. You can definitely hear the traffic, but we are used to worst noises from NYC or other big cities, so it did not bother us one bit. We were still able to sleep well and relax on the pool. The pool area is big enough for everyone to find space and the Bar at the pool offers great cocktails -Thanks to the lady at the bar, she is a sweetheart! Close by you can find some restaurants, supermarkets and coffee shops. To Rethymno it is a 15 min drive. I definitely recommend to rent a car to discover the surroundings. You can also rent a car in the hotel which is very convenient. There is a sandy beach in walking distance but it was full with seagrass. We rather took a drive to the south or east and discovered beautiful beaches with crystal clear waters. All in all we enjoyed our stay and would definitely come back! Again a big thank you to all the staff that makes this place so special and welcoming! You are doing an amazing job!

Absolutely Terrible Experience – NOT Worth 4 Stars! ★☆☆☆☆ I stayed at this so-called 4-star hotel in Crete and had one of the worst experiences I’ve ever had while traveling. I genuinely regret choosing this place. First of all, my room was not cleaned for three entire days. Even worse, when I asked for it to be cleaned—on my birthday, no less—I was told that the cleaner had already left and because my room was “the last one in the building,” they couldn’t guarantee it would be cleaned at all. That kind of excuse is completely unacceptable for any hotel, let alone one that claims to be 4-star. Then, there was a Sahara dust storm, which I understand isn’t the hotel’s fault. However, the pool remained full of dust and completely unusable for FOUR days until I left and no effort was made to clean it during that time. Again, completely unacceptable. But the worst part was how I was treated around my half-board booking. I arrived very late—at 4 a.m.—and obviously missed my first dinner. On my last day, I checked out at 11 a.m. and asked if I could have dinner before I left. I was told I’d have to pay 30 euros. I jokingly mentioned I hadn’t had my first dinner anyway, and they very rudely said, “It’s not our fault you checked in late.” No empathy. No flexibility. No care for guest satisfaction. Just a cold, dismissive attitude for what was a basic, low-effort dinner. To top it off, I had to pay 10 euros per night for a tourist tax—which is fine in itself, but when you’re getting this level of poor service, it just feels like another slap in the face. I rarely write bad reviews, but I genuinely want to warn other travelers: do not waste your time or money here. Poor service, rude staff, dirty facilities, and zero effort to make guests feel welcome or valued. Crete is a beautiful place, but this hotel was a huge disappointment.

We've stayed at CHC Imperial Palace twice now and it's been spot on both times. Great value, clean and modern rooms, friendly staff, and a really relaxing atmosphere. Everything just runs smoothly - from check-in to the food to the pool area. Always happy with our stay here and we'll definitely be coming back again.
