The worst experience I’ve ever had at what’s supposed to be a luxury resort. We had originally booked a standard sea-view room but were “upgraded” to what they call a Spa Villa Suite. In hindsight, we absolutely should have declined the upgrade. The place was crawling with all kinds of insects and creatures. None of the doors were sealed properly, allowing everything that could crawl or fly to enter through cracks and gaps. At one point we had to call maintenance to remove a centipede from the ceiling, and on three other occasions I had to deal with similar intruders myself. The bathroom floor was constantly covered with small ants. The only positive aspects of our stay were the pool area and the restaurant — nice pool, decent food. To call this a five-star experience is, frankly, absurd. The hotel is old and worn down, with mold clearly visible on exterior doors and around the shower frame. There is also a huge gap in the curtains which makes sleeping in nigh impossible, the light hits one side of the bed perfectly. When we decided to cancel our trip to Koh Phangan and stay on Samui for a couple of extra days, we brought up our experience with the hotel management. They offered us a “special price” to move to a standard room for two nights — which turned out to be more expensive than booking the same room through Hotels.com. So, no real help or goodwill there either. All in all: an old, run-down hotel with poor service and an overrated five-star label. Hotels.com should seriously reconsider their partnership with this property. Disappointing and unpleasant.

Right at the end of the main shopping and restaurant strip in chewang resort. Everything just outside the hotel But very quiet. Staff are lovely and friendly can't do enough for you. Breakfast lovely lots of choice restaurant Right on the beach so wonderful views. Rooms amazing jacuzzi bath and tea making facilities great a/c

A very nice hotel. Location is perfect: right at the beginning of Chaweng do you can walk down the whole street in one direction. Also the beach is really nice and clean. Staff is extremely nice and helpful - we feel totally safe and welcome here. Prices might be a little high but hey: it's a four star hotel, what do you expect. Only downside might be the airplanes... But to be honest, you get used to them and it is actually pretty cool seeing them flying right above your head . Other than that it is actually pretty quite, specially considering that it's right in the touristy party zone. What note can I say: go there to see for yourself... I can recommend it!

Very nice hotel for families, 2 pools, direct access to the beach (not private), free breakfast for kids, plate and glasses for kids. Food is good and includes a few vegetarian options. The personnel is so kind and helpful. We had a private yoga lesson it was very nice. Kids club is nice and there are 1-2 people from the staff with the kids inside. You can have a massage by the pool and in the spa. You can borrow kayak and paddle from the hotel. There are a few laundry services in front of the hotel. Welcome drink with cold towels at your arrival were so nice. Airport transfer and a 60 minutes couple massage for free.

We checked into the Chaweng Regent Beach Resort today. The check-in process itself was smooth, and the resort grounds look beautiful and well-maintained. However, we encountered a significant problem with our room assignment. We were given a room on the first floor, which is a major disadvantage for us as we have a baby and a stroller. Carrying a stroller, a baby, and all the stairs is very inconvenient and simply not practical. We asked to be moved to a ground-floor room, but unfortunately, the staff at the front desk informed us that no other rooms were available. The suggested solution was for us to book a different room ourselves for the following night via Booking.com or potentially pay for an upgrade. This was very disappointing. As guests who have already booked and paid for a stay, we expect the hotel to be more accommodating and find a solution for us, rather than placing the burden on us to re-book through a third-party website.
