We have just returned from a 10 night stay at the Chaweng Regent Beach resort and cannot recommend it highly enough. Our room was 203 and whilst the bathroom took my breath away, I would say that if you wanted a quieter nights sleep to stay further into the resort nearer to the beach. However, that being said the room was glorious and had a balcony and as already stated, the bathroom was out of this world. The resort was extremely clean and well maintained and looked after. The staff all provided a five star service and nothing was too much trouble. For us the location was perfect and right at the top of the main strip where all of the restaurants and bars are located. We stayed bed and breakfast and the breakfast each morning was absolutely glorious. I must admit that the beach wasn’t as picturesque as I had hoped but if you walk a little further up, you will not be disappointed. The food in the hotel itself was very yummy and extremely well presented. There’s a choice of two swimming pools with the garden pool having a more relaxed vibe. It was always possible to get a sunbed whatever time throughout the day. We would definitely book this hotel again and would highly recommend anyone considering booking, to do so now as you will not be disappointed!

My partner and I stayed here for 4 nights and we had an amazing experience! We arrived early before our room was ready and the kind reception staff supplied us with fresh cold cloths, water and melon and then looked after our bags while we explored the resort.
Our room was clean and tidy and the staff did an amazing job cleaning and remaking our room each day.
The breakfast had plenty of options, the fruit was fresh and chef on the egg station was friendly and gave good portion sizes.
The grounds were kept so beautiful and the pools were clean.
Overall we had such an amazing time and we were sad to be leaving. We will definitely be coming back to stay here.

TL:DR Do not waste your time and money on this hotel!
We had a very bad experience with the hotel, the worst experience in Thailand.
Let’s start from the fact that upon check in ONLY we were informed that the main swimming pool would be under maintenance during 2 days out of 4. This is something you would expect to know several days before arrival but obviously they didn’t think to update us.
When we checked in the room wasn’t clean, we could see the mess from previous guests and also bed sheets weren’t clean (see photos).
As a compensation to swimming pool we were offered to have complimentary breakfast ( we didn’t book the room with breakfast initially) BUT they didn’t think to update the restaurant about it so me and my spouse were screamed by a restaurant manager to go to reception and pay for breakfast which was a terrible experience as you just want to have breakfast quietly and go on with the day.
In addition to all above the hotel is almost fully booked and do not expect quiet leisure here.
The only pro is that the hotel is located in the heart of Chawang but still creates resort feeling due to its garden and nature.

My wife and I recently had a wonderful stay at Chaweng Regent on Chaweng Beach in Koh Samui. What truly made our stay special was the exceptional kindness from some of the staff.
Upon arrival, we were warmly welcomed, and throughout our stay, we always felt very well taken care of. A highlight was the partner stretch massage provided by the hotel staff, Tony and Oil. This exercise was not only relaxing but also showcased the dedication and professionalism of the staff. It was evident that they take pride in their work and genuinely care about their guests.
The room was clean and comfortable, with an okay view (we chose basic rooms). The laundry service may have been a bit expensive (60 Baht per t-shirt, while on the other side of the street they offered a better deal for 1 kg of clothing). The breakfast was delicious and varied.
A bit annoying that hotel guests claimed pool chair beds everyday before/during breakfast so that they would have a spot later the day. It would be nice if they had a staff member who kept an eye on that.
I would like to specifically thank Tony and Oil for their kindness and excellent service. They truly made our stay unforgettable.
Although there are more modern resorts on this island, I recommend this resort to anyone looking for a relaxing vacation in Koh Samui.
Oh by the way, planes fly over your resort which may wake you up during the early mornings which wasn't a problem for us, we love the sound of airplanes 😍

I have a list of things that make me give this hotel a 1 star review.
First of all, rooms are not the same that we had seen in pictures (i.e. booking dot com). When we went to the recepcion hotel asking for another room (paying the difference, of course) they said that they could not give us a better room, neither in another hotel of their own company. We felt cheated because the room they gave to us doesn't fit any pictures (they say that the pictures actually fit the reality but pictures probably have an edition).
We spent our first night there but we had planned to spend 5 nights there, so we booked another hotel room.
The day after sleeping there, when we did the checkout they said that why we didn't ask for another room or ask for moving to their other hotel, that they had rooms for us! Then we replied that we asked this the day before and they said it was impossible to change the room...
Then we asked for a refund because we felt cheated with the pictures and also with that false information about the rooms. They said that they do not do refunds.
The hotel itself is not that bad but all this bad experience makes me give them 1 star.
Breakfast is very good tbh.
And they drove for us to the other hotel for free and gave us ceramics. But ofc for me was better a refund.
The location makes you hear planes landing a few times a day.
