Wife and I stayed here for two weeks. Our room was nice and clean and the staff throughout the resort were fantastic to deal with. Our stay included the buffet breakfast, which wasn’t large, but it still had lots of selection. There actually isn’t much of a beach because of the tide but you could walk out for quite a distance which was enjoyable. The pool is nice and deep and there is really only one area where you can swim as in the picture, the top portion is reserved for the two bungalows, and the other smaller area appears for kids. It is in a great location, off the busy strip, but just a taxi right away to many shops and restaurants. Even on our checkout, which was early this morning, the staff had take away breakfast bags for all the guests. I would actually describe it as a four star resort, but with the level of service and the price, I definitely give it a five star.

This place was a complete disappointment. We were shocked. The biggest issue was that when using the shower or sink about every minute the water would cut out and just drip. You would have to wait another minute for it to come back and do this over and over again. The WiFi also does not work at all. They have multiple and none work. They don’t let you know when renting a scooter that they give you them completely empty of gas and it’s on you to fill it up and figure out where. There is a huge gap under the room door so it gets hot very quickly and bugs get in. You can’t leave the ac on when gone and it takes forever to cool the room back down. The breakfast food that is out is cold and there are flies everywhere. It was gross. The omelette station is the only thing to eat. The drinks are extremely over priced, not good and watered down. Go get a much better drink for 1/3 of the cost right up the street at the first restaurant. The 2 paddle boards are both broken. There are no quite hours and the walls are very thin so expect it to loud at all times. The pool states it closes at 8pm but they will ask you to get out at 7:15. The ocean water is green and pretty sure sewage from the street runs straight into it as all the streets around the hotel smell like it. This place is a not a resort and it was a disappointment. Would not recommend.

Upon arrival, we got served complimentary drinks. Already a great start! From the front desk, to the housekeeping, maintenance and servers, every staff was friendly and always helpful. I never felt like I was waiting on service for anything; they were always checking up on us. The rooms were comfortable and clean. The breakfast buffet was one of the best with an amazing oceanfront view! Breakfast with a great view was a good way to start each of my mornings. The pool/bar area was neat! The bar is right up on the pool and they allow you to have your drinks in the pool. They even come deliver it to you. You can also order food from their restaurant and have your meal either under the gazebo or on the beach chairs facing the ocean. They also have free standup paddle boards to use and a cute swing on the beach. I don’t have any complaints about this place!

Hotel CHABA is a fantastic establishment in every respect: * Very welcoming, helpful and smiling staff (a must to show at all hotel schools) * Perfect location in CHAWENG BEACH * Room perfect * Magnificent swimming pool * Heavenly setting on CHAWENG BEACH * Excellent local cuisine The only slight downside was the quality of the breakfast, which was not up to the hotel's standards, especially the tasteless fruit juices. Our family enjoyed our stay here. It is a functional hotel that has all the amenities for a good vacation. It is neither low end nor high end, but a good balance for the value. Restaurant and pool are good. The beach is available at low tide. The service was extremely good! The menu was a balance of tasty Thai cuisine and international dishes. Sound travels here, so something to keep in mind if you are a light sleeper. Beds are firm and the room is a standard size. Also, you’ll likely want to take a taxi or song-tao to get into central Chaweng. Recommend the hotel! #travelthailand
