Rooms are getting older, dimmer and house keeping not really keeping up with the cleaning anymore (our hair in the shower area were still all there on the shower floor, drainage). Hope the rooms get a much needed upgrade and glow up. They deserve a renovation. Service is still good, more English-speaking service team. Smiling was not part of the training anymore, I guess especially from chatuchak cafe team. Same mezzanine connection to Central mall. Still a beautiful hotel, overall. I have been visiting for 20+ years, and my go-to would still always be Centara Ladprao.

If you are planning a trip to Bangkok this is the place to stay! The staff is professional and very accommodating. The friendly staff is always ready to assist. The hotel restaurant serves a variety of breakfast, lunch and dinner. It is conveniently located, the entrance to the mall is next to hotel providing a food court (delish food) money exchange and anything else you might need. The regular rooms are excellent with king size beds if needed. Different levels of accommodations. The SPA and the pool are excellent. We stayed at this hotel from November 8 - 11, 2025 and then returned on our last day on 11/24. Their Blue Sky Bar located on the 16th. floor provides a stunning view of the city and has a nice ambiance either for drinks and/or dinner. I would like to commend the staff of the hotel from housekeepers, restaurant staff, the front desk , Concierge and the bell hop for making our stay in Bangkok a memorable one.

We went to have a drink and some food at the rooftop blue sky bar. The service was exceptional, from start to end, they were very attentional, and mindfull of our needs. The views are very nice, we went in the sky was clear and you czn the skyline of Bangkok all the way to the horizon. Our server was Pattama, She took time ti take us photos, and brought us some macarons and cakes with a note wishing us a safe flight. Paul aswell deserves a special mention, He is very kind and service oriented. Very good experiencr overall.

I reserved a stay at the Centara Grand at Central Plaza Ladprao Bangkok based on its advertised 5-star rating, but unfortunately, my experience did not fully meet those expectations. While the hotel has several outstanding elements, the fundamental room quality and amenities are significantly lacking. The Good: Exceptional Staff: The entire staff complement was wonderfully friendly, helpful, and attentive, which was a major positive of my stay. Beautiful Public Spaces: The interior of the main lobby and the hallway corridors were stylishly and contemporarily decorated. Stunning Lounge Areas: The lobby lounge and the rooftop skybar were both beautifully elegant and provided a truly sophisticated atmosphere. The Not-So-Good: ​The guest rooms were a disappointment. The furniture felt dirty and was noticeably outdated, which detracted significantly from the overall experience. Outside, the exterior walls of the building appeared filthy dirty and in need of serious cleaning, giving a poor first impression. ​For a hotel at this price point, the rooms lacked simple, modern conveniences. Not only were there no Bluetooth speakers and inadequate electrical sockets, but there was also no in-suite mini-bar, cold drinks, or snacks available in the room. Even the simple complimentary touches missed the mark: despite being provided, the three oranges in the room were green and completely unripe—absolutely disgusting. Finally, the lighting proved frustrating: walking into a pitch-dark room at night meant having to fumble around to locate the only accessible light switch, inconveniently placed on the bedside table. Conclusion: While the service and public areas shine, the condition and amenities of the guest rooms do not justify the hefty price tag attached. The hotel needs a significant refurbishment of its rooms and an exterior cleanup to truly live up to its 5-star rating and compete with contemporary luxury hotels in Bangkok.

Stayed at Centara Grand at Central Plaza Ladprao and really enjoyed it. The hotel has that classic, slightly old-school charm, but everything feels elegant and well maintained. The room was comfortable with a great view, and the location is super convenient, right next to Central Plaza and the MRT. Only downside was the air conditioning – it stayed freezing cold no matter what we set it to, but we didn’t report it, so that’s on us. Overall though, a fantastic and classy hotel with great service and atmosphere. To conclude: I think the rooms are a bit dated and could benefit from some upgrades over the coming years to match other luxurious hotels in the Bangkok area before falling too far behind. Having all the lights controlled from a panel on the bedside has its advantages and disadvantages.
