I chose this place because of its location, price and reviews. Our room was small but spotless. The bed was comfortable and the shower was nice. Juan Carlos handled my call as we navigated toward the hotel and he provided a parking suggestion that worked out great. Juan Carlos welcomed us with warmth when we arrived and gave us some dining suggestions. Lester was our waiter at breakfast, very helpful. So hard not to smile as a large iguana walked in between tables and startled some folks. He skeddadled when a lady screamed, lol. Philip checked us out with sincere appreciation for our stay. Whoever is here next week is going to get to experience quite the beach party as they are setting up stages a mile long on the beach. And what a beautiful beach!

It was a great place to stay in the middle of the action. Good food. Great atmosphere. I wish there was a table or counter in the bathroom to put stuff on, a luggage stand and a closet. But besides bad storage I would stay here again. We were here 5 nights so we needed some way to organize all our stuff. Short stay would not have been an issue. But the staff was great. Fridge in the room. Ice available. And right in the heart of the fun. Beach view was very nice.

We stayed here for two nights and it was one of the best experiences at a hotel we have ever had. We booked this hotel by mistake, but the first call I made to hotel, Juan made sure he met all our needs and more. It was a pleasure to deal with him. Then we had the pleasure to deal with William, and he also made sure our stay was perfect. The location, the cleanliness, and the staff were incredible. The breakfast was great too! The only downside, was coffee was not available 24 hours because it had to be made by staff when they arrived in the morning and wasn’t ready until 8:15. I suggested that for early morning, a self serving coffee machine be available. We are definitely going back soon.

The elevator, justified as “vintage,” is actually not very functional: it fits no more than four people and, with large suitcases, only two. It makes strange noises, shakes, and doesn’t have a proper door, which makes it rather unsettling. In the corridor, the air conditioning is excessively cold: if you don’t cover up, you really risk catching a chill. The room is barely livable in size, and the window doesn’t open, so there is no air circulation at all. The air conditioner thermostat was broken: I spent two days freezing. After asking management for an intervention (repair or room change), I was simply given a small heater, a completely inadequate solution. The beds are small and uncomfortable: two adults sleep very poorly. Breakfast is limited and starts at 8:00 a.m., which is not suitable for those who need to leave early for excursions or work. I asked for it 5–10 minutes earlier, but it wasn’t possible. Also, at 8:00 everything isn’t ready yet: they start preparing and it takes at least another 15 minutes. If you’re in a hurry, it’s better to go straight to Starbucks.

The hotel is very clean, the rooms are nicely renovated. They have a restaurant onsite. It’s noisy in the mornings, apparently during housekeeping hours, unfortunately. The location is perfect. The property is right on 13th Street and Ocean Drive, in the heart of south Beach and Art Deco district, really unbeatable. It has a public parking garage directly behind, for only $20 overnight; it doesn’t get any better than that when it comes to parking at the beach overnight.
