I went on a team girl's trip and I enjoyed my stay. Lloyd at the pool bar was amazing. The staff overall were friendly and very approachable. Our Bellman Christopher gave our group a grand tour of the grounds. It is a beautiful hotel. However I was disappointed that all the restaurants were booked and we only got to eat at the buffet. The buffet had many great selections. However the desserts tasted pretty awful. Please work on that. There were no towels available and I had to just get dried in the sun which we didn't mind but still we needed a few towels. The drink options are endless however I think the bartenders need more training in making the perfect drinks. They did take our advice on how to make what we wanted and that was great. Overall the customer service was wonderful.

Just returned from our 5 day trip here and we had an amazing time! The highlight of this resort is the beach. The water is crystal clear, shallow and calm which was perfect for our young children. They played all day long and had the time of their lives. The food is good. There is always something for everyone at the buffet. The Jamaican food is great, especially the jerk hut. Our room was clean and we were provided with a crib for our 5 month old. The bathroom was small and the shower did not always have hot water, but overall this did not affect our trip. We came for the beach, not the shower. A bit disappointed that the playground was not functional, but we spent so much time at the beach that our kids never really cared. Overall, this was a great vacation for our young family. We will definitely return, as you really can’t beat the calm, shallow beach which as previously mentioned is just perfect for little kids.

An understated but nice hotel. The stay did not start well, but with the intervention of the Hotel Manager Denton , our stay and impression of the hotel improved immensely. A big thank you to Denton for his professionalism and intervention to make our stay very comfortable and enjoyable. Very large resort with a lot to do. It seems to have something for every age group and interest. It is situated on the waterfront with a breathtaking view of the ocean all along the property.

I read the reviews before arriving, I was so worried what I was bringing the family too. But fortunately we are all having a lovely time we have great rooms, clean, dry, bright no mold and rooms not damp, bed very comfortable, great view, bedroom modern with beautiful large clean cream ceramic tiles floor, maid came on the second day and cleaned and made bed replaced towels, bathroom functions well but is dated needs improvements in decor but one is only in there a minute so it’s fine, it’s clean. Takes a while for hot water to flow through shower. I booked a partial sea view but I asked if possible I could have a seafront room and they gave it to me. We arrived at midday and rooms not available for a few hours official time is 3pm for room but we were given wrist bands and we ate in the buffet restaurant and enjoyed the sea and pool while we waited. We love it here . We had one rainy day yesterday and was at a loose end we took the free courtesy bus to shops and played cards. The only criticism is our patio door is too stiff to open my husband can manage it but I struggled - a lot of elevators don’t work there is only one to serve all buildings 1, 2 & 3 & 4 and we got in and there was a power outage/cut for 20 minutes - doors got stuck half closed we squeezed out and after that we took the stairs to our room on 3rd floor. The stair well is very scruffy needs a coat of paint and a clean at very least it’s fuctional . My room and my daughter’s room in building 4 are great . There is no games room and only one pillow but I haven’t asked for another. There are no hand towels but we are using the large ones for our hands . Food is delicious and good variety waitress and all staff are very pleasant receptionist Natalia was particularly lovely. Love the island close to hotel can walk through sea to and the pools are fun hope to try the specialty restaurant and pedloes and canoes before we leave wish we could stay longer than 5 days. Hope my review reassures someone because I can’t believe all the bad reviews I read unless they only apply to buildings 1 &2 but I spoke to someone in building 1 and they had nice room too. The staff do there best to meet your request and choice of room But obviously it’s subject to availability. Go enjoy sea, sand and delicious food.

I enjoyed my stay at Catalonia . The property is clean and beautifully kept, but needs to be updated, especially the bathroom. My room had a beautiful view. The hard working staff was pleasant and accommodating. They deserve a raise. The food was good and so was the entertainment.
