Exceptional. Superb. Phenomenal. Cape Weligama is a hotel and experience like no other. We were lucky enough to stay here for 8 nights at the end of our honeymoon. Every day we were blown away by the service and staff who truly go above and beyond to make your stay one to remember. No ask is too much trouble, the people make this place so special. We also ate some of the best food in Sri Lanka here, locally sourced and prepared to perfection. We found every night to be a different experience but each one as impressive as the last. The chefs table experience was truly one to remember too. The grounds and views are spectacular from every angle, a true relaxing oasis. Cape Weligama will stay with us for a long time and we only hope we can return back one day soon. Thank you again team Cape Weligama! Laura & Ben

Amazing location and helpful staff, if not a few too many of them. Despite the pomp of the Tableaux room, the food was mediocre…especially and plainly presented. Impressively they had a selection of vegan sorbets, however they all tasted the same.

We have stayed here in most of the renown hotel chains in Sri Lanka but our stay at Cape Weligama beats them all🌟. For a start, the architecture and the design of this property is aesthetically pleasing and we felt it since the moment we entered. The suite was spacious, clean and cozy. Food was delicious, chef Ishara is a master at his craft ; Take a bow , sir. Special thanks to Mr. Manthika for his attentive service and collaboration with the chef for an unforgettable lunch just before we left. As for the suggestion, moving the gym to the former Surf bar location would offer an awesome workout with a breathtaking view. No complaints; it was a mesmerizing experience overall.

We stayed here for 5 nights (family of 4 - kids 9/12) we were completely blown away by how brilliant everything was. Firstly the service. All the staff were warm, kind and extremely attentive. Really switched on and could not do enough to make you feel comfortable. We had a junior suite which was spacious. Nice facilities including a steam room. Everything worked as it should in our room. Now the food… this really is another level. The chefs here really know their stuff and both the western and Sri Lankan food was delicious. We had an incredible couples massage which I would highly recommend, with lots of other options to pamper yourself with. There is daily activities for the kids as well. The bar is in an exceptional setting with wonderful views, great staff and lovely drinks and cocktails. Both pools were very nice, one is above a well stocked gym and has great views. Kids are encouraged to use the lagoon pool but in the later afternoon we used the pool as it was quiet and staff don’t mind. The hotel is also flanked by two beaches. Both have bars and a nice friendly restaurant, both of which are cheap with good food and drinks. The West Beach is one of the best beaches I have been to. All in all I literally can’t fault this place, would love to return and am forever grateful to the incredible staff here. They really are what made it so good for us 🙂✌️

I was a in-house guest and I was representing one of my clients important event coverage. I must say this is the worst ever hotel I stepped in, Client hospitality is so poor. Director sales pulled me out of my dinner and wanted him to go through what I have captured and started lecturing me how to do my job, when he was not the man I was reporting to. Director disturbed my dinner just because wanted some images to be captured on behalf of him. Chaminda is the person who is ruined the Momentum. When I apologized if I said something to just his feelings during the initial discussion , he went said that I’m disrespectful for him to my client IN FRONT of me. This how Cape Weligama treats to their clients simply because he holds the director position and he expects every one bow their heads to him. Thanks to his tantrum Chaminda put up, I decided to checkout at 11/30 mid night and that he made the lovely evening a disaster for Most of us. This is how good the hospitality at Cape Weligama.
