This is my second time staying at Cape Fahn because of its private island and the most beautiful beach in Samui. I stayed for 3 days and 2 nights over the weekend.
This hotel just received an award from Travel + Leisure Luxury Awards, which guarantees that it is worth staying at. 🏆🥈
The best part of this hotel is the rooms! All rooms have a big swimming pool with a beautiful view and are quiet, so you can spend the whole day in your room.👙🩱🏊♀️
Another great part is the breakfast buffet! There is a variety of food, especially Thai Southern local food. The menu changes every day, so you can try something new all week and never get bored with the food.🐙🦞🦐
So, if I have time, I will come back to stay at this hotel again. 🏝️

We tried to eat in the cafe at the hotel (we didn’t live there, we came on foot at low tide). When we tried to choose a place, we were told that some places were only for hotel residents (not a reserve, just segregation). We decided to take the remaining space on the veranda - again it was refused, since I was without a T-shirt (it’s 40 degrees outside, what kind of T-shirt). Then we decided to take a walk along the shore. But we were again prohibited, since this is “private territory”. How this “private territory” relates to the laws of Thailand (which says that the coastal zone cannot be in private ownership) - I don’t know.
In general, it feels like a soulless place, not at all similar to the usual Thailand. Maybe some people need just this, but definitely not me.

We were recommended by several wedding planners to contact this resort to host a large destination wedding with a resort buyout. After several emails and even phoning the resort, we had absolutely no response at all. Not even an email acknowledging our interest. Lovely looking resort however it seems a shame that it is tarnished with subpar service from the management team.

My wife and I had the pleasure of spending two weeks at Cape Fahn for our honeymoon. The service we received was of the highest quality and the staff are some the kindest and friendliest people we have ever met. Nothing is too much trouble.
Our room was very spacious and stylish. The outside space, including the private pool, was huge, and a complimentary mini bar for snacks, drinks and treats was a great addition.
I can't recommend Cape Fahn highly enough.
