Pleasant staff, good food. Air conditioned room with a large balcony and nice little kitchenette fridge,cooker microwave, kettle cups , plates glasses etc. Room will be serviced everyday so does need do not disturb signs. liked staying at the hotel which has a nice beach front location, not much to do in the local area but easy to get to Lawrence gap, 30 minutes walk or cab to Bridgetown. Hotel looks well maintained. Just watch out for the birds.

I recently stayed at the Butterfly Beach Hotel and overall, I had a pleasant experience and will recommend with a few notable pros and cons. Pros: The price was excellent for what we received, making it a great value option. The location was convenient, close to everything we needed. The kitchenette in our room was a great bonus and made our stay more comfortable. A big shoutout to the staff and manager, who were honest and kind enough to keep jewelry safe after we forgot it at checkout. That really meant a lot. I also celebrated my birthday during our stay and was pleasantly surprised with a complimentary bottle of wine. Cons: Upon arrival, the welcome was underwhelming. We had to greet the staff first, as they didn’t acknowledge us initially. We were given a welcome drink, but there was no explanation, someone just placed it on the counter without saying anything. It felt impersonal. While a few staff members were friendly, not all were welcoming, and the receptionist on the day we arrived wasn’t very pleasant. The bathroom amenities were limited, only bar soap was provided, with no shampoo or conditioner. The hotel is a bit dated, but for the price, it’s a fair trade-off.

Staff were all great, rooms are large but a little tired. Service was inconsistent: Sometimes all the towels were changed, sometimes some, sometimes none. Sometimes the bar and wait staff couldn’t do more to help other times interrupting their conversations meant a sharp repost. Outside of the hotel’s control, but during the summer months the beaches all along the south coast are blighted by seaweed. So if you want a nice beach on your doorstep, you need the west coast!

Currently at The Butterfly Beach hotel. On arrival staff Donna very welcoming. Excellent customer service. The house keeping staff do an amazing job. Pleasant, accommodating with a sense of humour as well as happy to engage in conversation with you. Our room is lovely with comfy beds. We were invited to the meet and greet with the manager. Disappointed with our experience made to feel invisible despite being there well on time. However, the other staff gave excellent service with a smile, engaging, friendly and pleasant in manner. Finding that not all staff are approachable or having the right attitude. Appearing aloof as well as none engaging making it obvious they are not interested when trying to converse. No eye contact which is most important if working at front of house.. I have another two weeks. Location good easy access to beach, night life and Bridgetown. On the whole the house keeping staff who are engaging makes the stay pleasant and worthwhile at this point. We have now come to an end on our trip to Barbados staying at the Butterfly beach hotel. On the whole we thoroughly enjoyed our stay. We would like to thank all the staff for making our stay enjoyable. The initial mishap was forgotten as we were able to meet the manager. We will definitely be returning to this hotel as we feel the meet an greet is a good concept to meet other guest as well as enjoy the fish cakes and rum punch which was ahh delicious. The location is just right for walks. I have already spoken to friends about stating at the Butterfly. To all the staff once again a big THANK YOU. You do an amazing job

Stolen Wedding Band From The Room!!! Butterfly Hotel is appropriately 20 minutes from the airport. There are not many restaurants near by the hotel. The property has one restaurant, not many choices but the food is reasonable. The restaurant is cashless and the credit card machine doesn't charge the bill in local currency. The room is spacious, the bed is comfortable, pool is clean, some staffs are nice (Cheryl, Lynette and Stacy), there are few rude staffs and there is also a staff who is a thief (Maintenance Guy) There is no beach chair at the beach. Guest gets a clean pool towel upon arrival and has to pay $1 to exchange it for a clean towel. There isn't much to do at the hotel. The hotel needs some beautification. There is no "don't disturb sign" for the room door....Huge Red Flag!!! I would never stay at the Butterfly Hotel again, we stayed at the hotel for 5 days. Room#305 AC was leaking water and flooring the room, I called the front desk and asked for maintenance person to come take a look at the AC and I specifically told the front desk lady for the maintenance person to come while we are in the room. We turn off the AC and left the room at 1:10pm and went to have lunch at the hotel restaurant, got back to the room at 3:15pm. When I came to the room, I was told that two maintenance people came into the room. At that point the AC wasn't fix, instead wipe up all the water from the floor and the AC was turn on back. The hotel didn't obey our request when we said, we don't want anyone in our room of we are not present. My husband wedding band was on the night stand when we left for lunch at 1:10pm, upon returned the wedding band was stolen. Don't leave anything valuable in the hotel room, put everything in the safe, don't make the same mistake we made. It took us 75 trips and 11 years to realize that not all hotel/resorts have honest and trustworthy staffs. Because of this theft incident, our vacation this time in Barbados was ruined, we felt so unsafe. This matter was reported to the management and local police. What an insult, $250 was offered for a $3,500 wedding band, that is unacceptable!!! The wedding band hold immense sentimental value and would LOVE to get it back. I am 100% sure that the wedding band was stolen by one of the two maintenance guys who came into the room while we were on lunch. Butterfly Hotel needs to reevaluate their "new staff" Another day, I told Leah (lady at the front desk) that we don't want housekeeping, when we returned from breakfast the room was clean, again our request wasn't granted. Butterfly Hotel easily take the cake for the worst travel experience I had in 11 years and 75 trips. Think, think and rethink before booking your vacation at Butterfly Hotel.
