The hotel is nice enough but omg the service. The staff are kind but I never in my life have made a 9pm dinner res and not been able to get WATER by 10pm. The kitchen was so backed up out of control like even eating at the bar wasn’t faster and the snack bar thing closed by 10. They took outside reservations for Valentine’s Day like non guests who prepaid online ate fine but apparently hotel guests get no priority including with a reservation lol. It basically was implied we wouldn’t be eating til like midnight so we left and went to the McDonald’s across the street. This hotel could be so much better if they had more staff. I waited for over an hour for lunch takeout for 2 on a random Monday at the pool bar. They reply to all the reviews saying they appreciate it and take it seriously but truly could just use new management or something. Curious why Hilton no longer owns this hotel and imagine it was a much more premium experience when it was. Gorgeous location very kind staff but the service is just so dang slow. I want to lay at the beach not sit waiting around for food for hours and hours! Also they don’t give you any toiletries like not a shower cap or a q tip haha. For a $50/day resort fee do better !

We had a Day Pass with cabana for our cruise port stop in Nassau. Very convenient walk from the ship. The service was impeccable! Everyone we had contact with at the resort was fantastic. The beach and pool areas were very clean. Food and drinks were delicious. Would definitely get a day pass on our next cruise to Nassau!

I really love this place. It’s beautiful. Clean and just a breath of fresh air. I’ve visited the Bahamas several times and this is the best resort I’ve been too so far. Not huge and obnoxious like the other huge resorts. Close enough to so many shops and restaurants so you’re not limited to the overpriced restaurants like at other big resorts. This one is warm and classy and the best location. The only thing I didn’t love were the cruise ships docked so close but it wasn’t that big of a deal. Will definitely come back here and highly recommend!

I would like to state that the British Colonial Hotel has truly come a long way (for the better). The staff are warm, friendly and engaging. The property has been upgraded to a Five Star level and the pool and beach areas far exceeded my expectations. I must give kudos to some of your shining star employees who have truly shown how to proudly represent the British Colonial brand. Upon entering one of your restaurants, there is a young lady with a short hair cut, superstar employee. I cant remember her full name but it starts with the letter A. She is very professional, consistently made eye contact and was very receptive to assisting not only myself and my group, but other customers with all of our questions or concerns. She is truly a gem. I also want to mention another young lady who is also very professional and a true asset to your team. Her name is Sterline. She is clearly on the right path in her professional career due to her excellent personality. She came to our table on numerous occasions to ensure we were ok while doing the same for other guests. She truly represents your brand very well and both ladies are more than deserving to receive what ever employee recognition awards your property offers. Kudos also to your front office team, they did a great job during check in and check out and I also wish to say a great job to all of your front door men. My group and I will certainly be returning. Thank you. Mr. Adonai

Exclusively based on the below, the staff is incompetent. Friends were staying at the hotel for an anniversary. I called to inquire about room service for champagne and treats. After ten minutes on the phone. They said they would send an amenity menu via email. Well, first they sent the margaritaville hotel menu. Another call. Now, two days later they send the BC menu. Not great choices. No champers, prosecco only. Download, edit, & return the document, ask for cc link to pay. BC says theyll send cc authorization. A day later, i get a call to confirm selection, ie repeat five times what i annotated on the doc via email. Yesterday, ie four days after sending an initial email, i have two missed calls asking to confirm selection again. This is not difficult. Im offering to pay BC $90 for a $14 bottle of wine retail, and the selection of bottles is atrocious. BC staff are incompetent. I can only imagine staying there. And yes, i get “island time” but this is unaccaptable.
