Pure paradise, fantastic place 😍 Amazing, kind & caring staff. They would do anything for you! ❤️ Delicious food in main buffet restaurant and great choice of cocktails in the bar. One of the most beautiful places we've been to. Walking around the island takes about 20 minutes. You can literally forget the shoes and stay barefoot all the time. The beach is being cleaned constantly from any coral debris washed ashore. Our spacious beach pool villa was clean & spotless and we truly felt like we were in heaven - with an open shower in the bathroom, private pool outside the villa and a cute white sand path through lush green vegetation leading right to the pristine beach. Sunset cruise and snorkeling cruise all included in our stay were amazing. Seeing baby sharks swimming around us was unreal. Once every few days, in the evening, you can spectacle bigger sharks feeding 👌 Highly recommended!

Hello, We returned a few days ago from our stay at Brennia Kottefaru, and unfortunately, we feel very disappointed. In our opinion, the resort does not deserve 5 stars – the real standard is a maximum of 3 stars. This was not our first trip to the Maldives – we have previously stayed in two other resorts in the same price category, so we have a solid basis for comparison. This time, the disappointment was exceptionally big, as it was the first time we felt like we were just another tourist, with no one from the staff showing any real interest or hospitality. Especially in the restaurant, it felt like the staff didn’t even want to notice us – as if we were an obstacle, not guests. 🛬 Arrival and First Impressions From the moment we arrived, we didn’t feel welcome at all. There was no greeting ceremony, no welcome drinks, no coral necklaces, no traditional singing, nothing like what is often promoted in online photos and resort advertisements. Upon arrival at the island, we were “greeted” by a blonde Russian-looking woman from the staff who didn’t smile, didn’t say a word, and avoided eye contact. She behaved like she didn’t want to be there. It was a very cold and unwelcoming reception. 🏡 Accommodation and Infrastructure The beach villa was fine in terms of furnishings. The most concerning issue was the condition of the infrastructure: Wooden walkways–whether leading to the water villas, main areas, pool, or the beach villa –were cracked, broken, and dangerous in places. Walking barefoot was risky and unsafe. Such a lack of maintenance is unacceptable for a resort of this supposed standard. 🍽 Food The food was one of the biggest disappointments of the trip. Breakfast was extremely poor and repetitive. Every day was the same – no sliced cheese, and the only cold cuts were mortadella, served daily. There was no rotation, no fresh additions, nothing you'd expect from a 5-star hotel buffet. Lunch and dinner were equally disappointing – dry meats, hard potatoes, everything covered in heavy sauces. Fruit selection was very limited. On some days, there were no fresh fruits at all – just canned pineapple, which is absolutely unacceptable on the Maldives. There were no fresh juices, no high-quality or varied ingredients. 🍹 Restaurant Service The restaurant staff was slow, passive, and mostly indifferent. We had to wait up to 15 minutes to get water, and servers often pretended not to see guests. After meals, dirty plates stayed on the table for 15 minutes or longer, and in many cases, no one came to clean the table at all until we left. The whole experience was cold, with no initiative or effort from the staff. 🎶 Entertainment and Activities Entertainment was very limited–it relied entirely on a single employee, who tried his best but clearly lacked support. At first, the music was pleasant, but later it became dominated by loud Russian music, playing almost non-stop. When other genres were played, some guests whistled and complained loudly. The atmosphere felt uncomfortable. 🧑‍🤝‍🧑 Guest Culture Most guests were from Russia, and many behaved loudly and rudely, pushing ahead in queues, commenting on others, playing their own music, and ignoring social norms Positives There were a few bright spots worth mentioning: Beautiful beach wide, clean, with soft white sand Water perfect for swimming and photos One staff member at the fruit station – truly kind, helpful, and smiling every day &Our room attendant Ansari – extremely polite, thorough,friendly, and professional Our stay at Brennia Kottefaru was unfortunately a disappointment, especially compared to previous experiences in the Maldives. The resort failed in essential areas – hospitality, food quality, infrastructure, and atmosphere. We felt like we were there just to“fill a spot,”not as valued guests. Despite the beautiful beach and clear water, we cannot recommend this resort to anyone seeking luxury, warm service, and real 5-standards. There are many other Maldivian resorts in the same price range that offer better experiences and genuinely care for their guests..

Went there for our honeymoon (meticulously planned by the husband) and it was a gorgeous place. Maldives itself is so beautiful but this place exceeded our expectations in terms of rooms, food, drinks, activities etc. The highlights for me were being surrounded by the beautiful waters, enjoying incredible cocktails on the beach, the seafood and Asian night preparations and of course the delicious Italian corner whipping up amazing pastas for each meal.

Our stay at Brennia Kottefaru in the Maldives was truly a dream come true! From the moment we arrived, we were greeted with genuine warmth and hospitality that made us feel special and completely at ease. The resort itself is absolutely stunning — crystal-clear waters, white sand beaches, and luxurious villas that offer both comfort and breathtaking views. Every corner of the property was beautifully maintained, and the atmosphere was peaceful and serene. What truly made this experience unforgettable was the incredible team of staff and crew(Thana, Adithya, Kevin, Azim and Juwel). From the front desk to the housekeeping team, restaurant servers, and excursion guides, everyone was kind, attentive, and went above and beyond to make our stay perfect. Their smiles, professionalism, and willingness to help made us feel truly cared for. We enjoyed delicious meals (special thanks to the chef and kitchen staff!), exciting snorkelling , and unfortunately due to weather sunset cruise was cancelled. The attention to detail and the personalized touches throughout our stay made all the difference. A heartfelt thank you to everyone for making our vacation so special. We’re already dreaming of our next visit!

We had a great experience at Brennia. Excellent location and good amenities. Front office staff (Simran and Ruby) is really friendly and took great care of my kid. It’s worth mentioning the ever smiling attitude of their Restaurant staff. I would suggest people to take snorkeling classes before doing the same if really donot know snorkeling.
