I recently stayed at Breathless Riviera Cancun and had an incredible experience. The resort perfectly balances relaxation and fun — the energy at the main pool is electric with live DJs and themed parties, while the Xcelerate and Energy zones let you choose your vibe. Our swim-out suite was modern, clean, and beautifully designed, with attentive housekeeping and stocked minibars. The staff were amazing — friendly, professional, and always going out of their way to make our stay special. The food exceeded expectations, from gourmet dinners at Spoon and Silk City to delicious beachside bites. The beach was clean and peaceful, and evening entertainment kept the vibe going. We were made Vegeterian meals on request at both the restaurants as well for in room rining which was amazing. We also enjoyed the romantic dinner at the beach. The setup was really nice and loved the vegetarian menu. If you’re looking for a luxurious adults-only getaway with a great mix of party and chill, Breathless Riviera Cancun is absolutely worth it. We’ll definitely be coming back! 🌴🍹

This property failed to meet basic standards of habitability, privacy, and guest safety. I strongly advise against staying here. During our stay, the room had no air conditioning for two consecutive days while outdoor temperatures in Cancún were in the high-70s to low-80s °F with high humidity. In these conditions, lack of climate control rendered the room unreasonably uncomfortable and effectively uninhabitable, especially for a resort of this size and price point. The room also smelled of mold, and reported issues were not resolved in a timely manner. There were serious privacy violations. On our final night, a security guard recorded guests in our private swim-out pool without consent over a noise complaint. Additionally, on the first day, a staff member (Luis) entered our room without knocking or permission, which is unacceptable and unsafe. Policy enforcement was inconsistent and unreasonable. Loud music began daily around 10 a.m., yet guests were reprimanded at night for minor noise at an adults-only resort. Meanwhile, I observed multiple slip-and-fall incidents, including a medical emergency, which appeared to receive minimal attention. Dining and entertainment did not meet advertised standards, and the property showed signs of deferred maintenance, including rodent traps, wildlife on the grounds, mold, and poorly maintained walkways. Most concerning, the experience did not align with Breathless’s own marketing as a “vibrant,” “Unlimited-Luxury” resort designed for high-energy social trips. Guests were policed rather than accommodated, and core amenities were unreliable. Our group of 33 adults unanimously agreed the stay was unacceptable. Management’s response was limited to apologies, which was insufficient given the severity of these issues. Spend your money elsewhere.

This place was an amazing first time experience outside of the US. The service was incredible. Especially Humberto we were in the exhale club so he saw to it that I had my Don Julio. Did everything short of follow me around the resort with a bottle in hand. He was awesome. Ivan, Manciel, Erik, Christian and Roger were other employees whose service stood out to me. Over all this place is great, if you’re on the younger side especially. We missed out on the weekend shenanigans but my friends who got to stay a few more days said that place really lights up. It was a lot of fun, will return.

We went with friends (in our 30’s) and overall had a great time! Crowd was a good variety of 20s, 30s and 40s I’d say. There is one very large pool with a swim up bar and then a pretty big “party” pool with another swim up bar. The non party pool was more lively than the party pool sometimes - both are fun, even just for the people watching! The lowest priced rooms are right by the night time outdoor bar, called Wink where they have entertainment every night. The rooms also back up to the “inside-ish” area which has the club. I say this because it can be fairly noisy at night time until the club closes around 1am. The entertainment at Wink was usually done by 10:30pm, but you could still just hear people outside. Just a consideration if you want to book the lowest priced rooms. The food was average… not bad but not the best food you’ll ever eat. We liked the Pan Asian one the best. Italian and Mexican were fine! The beach is so small, and doesn’t have the pretty aqua blue water that you envision when visiting Cancun, but we knew that going into it . The pools were nice and the views were still pretty of the water! We got a really good deal so for the value, I would recommend it!

We have been to Breathless Riviera twice now and we have loved our experience both times. The resort is beautiful, there are plenty of food options and the staff is wonderful. The night club was a lot of fun and the events were great too. Love the Silent Disco night!! There were a few things that could have been improved upon, waiting a long time for or at dinner and some minor maintenance items. But overall staff is good. I have to give a shoutout to Andres on the Entertainment team, Uriel and Robert at the Excelerate pool and my personal favorite Wilburth. He is such a hard working and fun bartender! He is the best and always took care of me!!! 🫶🏻 We will likely be back!
