We recently stayed at the Breathless Riviera Cancún Resort & Spa to celebrate our anniversary. Overall, we liked our room it was clean, comfortable, and had a beautiful view. Also the management was kind for preparing a romantic breakfast for us as an anniversary gift. The room service and housekeeping staff were excellent and very attentive. However, the buffet was quite disappointing. The food lacked flavor, the variety was very limited, and the service was poor we had to wait around 25 minutes before anyone approached our table, and when they did, our orders took a long time to arrive. During our stay, we tried almost all restaurants at the resort. The Mexican restaurant and Bites was by far the best delicious food and good service. The Asian restaurant on the other hand, was a letdown. Our show was scheduled for 10:00 but didn’t start until 10:30 and the food quality didn’t live up to what you’d expect from a typical Asian restaurant. We also tried the spa my husband didn’t enjoy his massage, but for me it was okay (not great, not bad). To summarize we had a mixed experience wonderful room and staff, but the dining and service quality at the restaurants definitely need improvement.

Room cleaning/house keeping: Very seem less and it gets done like twice a day. They are extremely good for that! Rooms: They were nice enough/ 4/5 Food: Pretty good options and some restaurants were actually good. Service/: 5/5 The service they totally have down! Servers are great at the sit down restaurants, reception/checking in is very seemless (Lucia was great) and all the bartenders (Fernando/charlyboy/lidia) were pretty awesome! Entertainment: 5/5 , I really hope that the breathless/secrets management team know how lucky they are to have the great entertainment people they have. Everyone is so fun and have great energy. Really connected with all of them. Andres/milli/angle/ivan/luis(secrets)/Eric/pedro/manny/ and many more were so much fun! They made our trip so special and we were lucky to meet them and enjoy our time with them! If your an activities person this is the place for you, the entertainment team always want to do fun things so you basically get roped into doing all the fun things with them all day (ping pong tournaments/water volley ball/beach volleyball/soccer/ and many more). At night there is always some show going on and then the disco is also a great time. Also everyone who we meet on the resort were great too. Everyone that was on the resort was fun and also interested in activities so we were lucky enough to make a bunch of friends with other people who were also on vacation. Definitely will be returning and would recommend

My stay at Breathless Riviera Cancun was not enjoyable. When we arrived, we were told it was a smokeless resort. However, there were designated smoking spots within the resort and other guests were inconsiderate and smoking wherever they wanted. And the hotel staff did nothing about it. The service was terrible. Half the restaurants were closed, so everyone in the resort had to eat at the same 2 places for dinner which means the waits were horrible. We had been waiting for over an hour at The Strip Grill. We gave up and decided to eat somewhere else. I went to return my buzzer, and the host said my table was ready. How convenient. We still left because my husband had already gotten food elsewhere. Another time, we ordered a pizza at one of the beachside restaurants, 'Foam' and we never got a pizza! I ordered with one of the waiters behind the bar. 30 minutes pass and still no pizza, even though we see the chef making them. I asked the waiter I ordered with and he says I didn't make an order. Then 5 minutes later he says I have an order with another guy, and says it will just be a little longer. After that, we never saw that waiter again and another 30 minutes pass. Yet again, we had to give up and eat somewhere else. Two of the restaurant options on their app were midnight eats. They were closed on the same days. Whose dumb idea was that? When we tried ordering room service one of the nights, it took an hour and a half to get to our room. This resort is definitely not what I thought a 5 star hotel would be.

We were accommodated in oceanfront swim-up suites, and every single room was prepared with an exceptional level of personalization. Each suite included a celebration banner, a custom individual cake, a handwritten personalized card, and a complimentary bottle of champagne waiting for us upon arrival. These thoughtful touches set the tone for a truly magical stay. Fernanda, in particular, was phenomenal. Her attention to detail and care for our group ensured that every milestone — from birthdays to job promotions to anniversaries — was honored with elegance and sincerity. She made our annual tradition feel elevated to luxury status. The resort itself exceeded expectations — breathtaking views, vibrant energy, impeccable service, gourmet dining, and the perfect blend of relaxation and entertainment. But what made this trip unforgettable was the high-touch, genuinely personalized hospitality from the Breathless team. This was not just a vacation — it was a luxury celebration experience crafted with intention. Our family will absolutely return and continue choosing Breathless Riviera Cancun as our preferred destination for future Cousins in Cancun celebrations. Thank you for a memorable experiences ✨️

I recently visited Breathless for 5 days. I had a great time. The rooms are comfortable, the food is as expected for a resort. The party atmosphere at this resort is much more lively than other resorts I've been to. The evening entertainment could use some improvement, however, the nightclub is open every night. The room service team also could use a little improvement with restocking the water in the mini-bar. What stood out about the resort was the service. Lidia in the Xhale lounge was the sweetest. She is a lovely conversationalist, very attentive, remembers your drink preferences, and showed me a few local drinks. Ricardo in the 24/7 coffee shop was also very kind and caring. The entire buffet staff were significantly more attentive than the staff at any all-inclusive buffet I've been to.
