Breathless Punta Cana Resort and Spa

My boyfriend and I stayed at Breathless for a week and honestly had such a great time. The resort is beautiful, well kept, lively but not overwhelming, and the staff were all super kind and helpful. There was always something going on, whether you wanted to relax or join in the fun. One thing we really enjoyed was the aqua spinning class with Michael. We were looking for a fun way to stay active during the trip, and this was perfect. Michael was upbeat, encouraging, and made the whole class a good time. Overall the resort had a great mix of energy and relaxation. Would definitely come back!

We recently stayed April 1-11 2025. The grounds are well kept and clean. We stayed exhale and it was very nice we are very happy we did it. Our concierge Jesus was on top of everything we needed he gets 10 stars. All the ladies serving in the exhale club for our stay were the finest at what they do. Marcelo the towel/pool attendant was very good at his job. Food at the resort was good and lots of variety to choose from. Room was always ice cold and always well kept by housekeepers. I suggest this resort to anyone but remember if your looking for a more relaxed quiet spot you will need to book exhale as the general side can get a bit loud and busy. Thanks to all staff members again for making our stay very comfortable and welcoming.

We just came back yesterday and overall we had a good time. Pros: The staff was friendly, the resort was lively and the food at the restaurants was very good, I also had one of the best passion fruit margaritas I’ve ever had. The beach is beautiful and clean. Cons: There are people who walk around and are very nice to you and offer you “vouchers” for things and at first you think they’re just being nice, until you realized you’re being talked into attending a presentation for a timeshare. To be of assistance to these folks, we agreed to attend - the whole thing took up 2 hours of our morning. The staff that does this called us twice that morning to make sure we came, another staff member “escorted” us to breakfast, which we quickly realized was to ensure we didn’t leave, and then we were presented with a $25000 timeshare package. It was very frustrating. Our room smelled like mold/mildew and was very damp for our entire stay, we thought it was just our room, but we realized that it was not when we went on a tour for the timeshare and the room they showed us smelled moldy too. Our sheets felt so heavy and wet the whole time. We had a junior swim up suite with a jacuzzi and the room was outdated and needed work. The fixtures are rusty, the bathroom was not cleaned properly, I was constantly wiping up other people’s hair, there was mildew in the shower, we had to call for housekeeping who came and only mopped and made the bed. My biggest issue is something was taken from our room and we did not notice it until we checked out. It was a very expensive eye cream (skin care product) and it’s in a tiny container. I usually lock my electronics/charger, jewelry, skin care in my suitcase as to avoid anyone going through my belongings and it’s very disappointing that this happened. Overall I would not deter anyone from staying here, but we would not return.

I was super concerned as we had never stayed somewhere two consecutive weeks. I thought it would get repetitive and boring. This was not the case in the slightest. They had different, shows, parties, entertainment, and when you needed a change of pace you can walk next door to Dreams and play on the water slides, watch their shows, and try their restaurants. We had such a wonderful time, the food was great as were the shows. I would like to give a shout out to the bartenders at the plaza bar. They went above and beyond for me. For example, I drink a very specific brand of alcohol, once they learned my brand they would make sure to have it stocked for me and if they ran out they would take the time to go grab another bottle. Excellent service, I witnessed them do this for others as well! Furthermore, I must give a shout out to Ysabel, the bathroom attendant at the central bar, I walked in there for two weeks and would see her scrubbing stains out of dresses and helping with wardrobe malfunctions. She was a hard working woman. We recommend Breathless Punta Cana!

I recently stayed at this fantastic hotel for 10 days, and it was truly amazing! The staff were incredibly friendly, creating a warm and welcoming atmosphere. I couldn’t fault the customer service at all. Jennifer by the pool was a standout; she was always there with a smile, ensuring we had everything we needed. I wish I could remember the name of another gentleman who was equally wonderful at the same pool. The entertainment staff were top-notch, providing engaging activities all day every day. We had pool parties and beach parties, ensuring there was never a dull moment. Also lots of different pool options, more relaxed or the party pool (even a lazy river and slides at dreams which is next door). Lots of food options, different restaurants. There’s lots of variety. This was definitely one of the best hotels I've stayed at! Highly recommend!
