3/5 ⭐️ — Beautiful property, but service needs work The resort is physically impressive—modern design, spacious rooms, and a beautiful rooftop pool. However, the service experience didn’t match the setting. Check-in was slow and disorganized. I was told to check in with the receptionist upstairs, but no one approached me—I had to go to them. They also push a timeshare pitch called Unlimited Vacation, asking for around $3,700 for a long-term subscription. I avoided it because I was already familiar with it from other resorts. The sushi restaurant upstairs was underwhelming. It took a long time to get food, with only one chef and one host handling everything. The rooftop pool is a highlight, and security does a good job making sure only guests re-enter after beach outings. That said, the nightclub is mostly filled with guys, and the overall vibe is geared more toward couples than solo travelers. Staff service was hit or miss—some were friendly, but several employees, especially male staff, came off as rude or unhelpful. Be sure to double-check room types—what they call an “ocean view” might actually be a partial view. Upgrades also take time to process, and the layout with multiple elevators can be confusing. Lastly, many restaurants close early (by 9–10 PM), so plan meals accordingly. Overall, a visually appealing resort with potential—but lacking the service and hospitality you'd expect at this level. They rush you out once you're checked out

This resort was fantastic! We came here for our 10 year wedding anniversary and ended up doing the Serenity club. Everyone made our trip memorable and comfortable. From the housekeepers and the wonderful ladies who provided turn down service to all of the chefs and bartenders. Gabby was a fantastic butler who left no detail behind. All of the programs and entertainment were superb. Don't sleep on the shows, every one of them is worth the time. I will definitely come back to this resort. I wish I wrote down every single person who took care of us because every one of them deserve recognition

Recently stayed at Breathless Cancun soul on a last minute getaway! We’ve stayed at other breathless and Secrets in Jamaica and DR as well as plenty of other chains all over the Caribbean but I would have to Cancun Soul takes the cake! I would 1000% recommend upgrading to the Xhale club. The ocean front suites have the most beautiful views of the ocean and island. The rooftop is exactly the vibe we needed. Relaxing, yet the drinks were flowing and the service was immaculate. I cannot express how wonderful Armando and Sergio are! They anticipated every need and worked so hard to keep everyone happy. Genuinely the best service I’ve received at an all inclusive. The beach was beautiful, even though public we enjoyed meeting the locals and other travellers. The buffet has everything you need and the other restaurants were just as plentiful and tasteful! The service at the spa was also fantastic and our couples massages as well as the hydrotherapy was unforgettable! All in all we have no complaints and cannot wait to return to this location!!

So overall I've got to give this hotel a 2/5. There were some exceptional things and some things that need to be changed. Upon arrival we were taken to the Xhale Club. Shortly after we were told "it was an accident that we were placed in there" and told that it was an extra charge if we wanted to remain. I asked if they had upgraded rooms available (which wouldn't have minded paying for) but they were not and didn't feel the need to pay extra for a room where they were checking in guests. After this we were asked about doing their timeshare presentation and told them we were not interested (first time) - We were then handed over to a gentleman named Angel who would "give us a tour of the hotel" - He shows us the lobby then takes us to his desk and starts telling us about some money off things at the hotel. - We told him we were not interested in the timeshare tour (second time) and he started asking when we were available just to he showed around and get some money off of things. We had a massage scheduled the next morning (as it was my girlfriend's birthday) so he asked if we could meet him the following day. We walked away realizing this was the timeshare tour we've asked twice not to be a part of. Day of we receive a call at 10 am from another gentleman asking us if we were doing the presentation. We replied that we were not interested and that we wouldn't be able to make it. (Third time) We receive another call 30 minutes later about this asking us to come down for this (Fourth time). We replied again we wouldn't be able to make it which led to some side eyes each time we passed the lobby. This happens to everyone that comes in. In fact at breakfast we were seated between guests who were doing these timeshare tours. So Ive heard the entire thing. (They tell you they can't sell over the phone, they do not call them timeshares, etc.) We had a girl at the pool tell us the same thing and that this took up 3 hours of her birthday. These things are $3700. That said, the food was good. The rest of the staff was great. Several went above and beyond at the restaurants. Room service was awesome. I just felt frustrated with this experience as it was so aggressive and forced. We were there on a holiday weekend to relax (and party) and it didn't meet those expectations. Instead it was an endless sales pitch to try and get us to spend more.

This resort is amazing! The staff were super friendly, attentive and very professional. The entertainment was great, loved the soul of colors. The room was very spacious and thoughtfully planned out. Plenty of space for luggage and to put your things away. Fully stocked mini bar, which housekeeping kept replenished daily. Pool bars and on the beach. I would definitely visit again!! My favorite restaurant was Fish Nets, food absolutely amazing. Thanks Breathless for a wonderful birthday experience.
