The Breathless Soul is not horrible, but it is definitely not a 5 star hotel. Check-in will impress you. You are hit with a warm towel and drink as soon as you get out of the car. Guest restrooms are clean and have towels to dry your hands. Everything is modern.
The issue is the location and rooms. This is not the beautiful beach Cancun is known for. There is a public access beach, so the lounge chairs and umbrellas are along the fence. The water is not appealing. The room is modern with a tablet to control everything. The key is on your phone, and they have an app to order room service from. My issue with the room was the bathroom. I hate how hotels have the sliding restroom doors because they do not close all the way. This hotel takes it a step further by have a door that does not even close. There is no lock and whoever you share your room with can see and will know what you are doing in the restroom. Another quirk is the shower. It has glass all around and the only curtain is facing the bed. Again, anyone else in the room can see you. Also, there was a strong mold smell in the room that I did not recall having at other Cancun hotels.
The restaurants we ate at were good. We had the steakhouse, Italian, and buffet. The wait staff in the buffet were good and helpful. The other restaurants seemed rushed and short-staffed. They do not take reservations so this could be a problem during busier times, but we never had to wait.
Watch out for the travel club sales pitch. They almost got us by saying we had a special hotel deal that got us a spa service and excursion. Then they slide in that you only have to have breakfast with them to talk about this wonderful opportunity. We read other's reviews on this and quickly cancelled.

I am a Latina from New York. Have pretty high expectations. The hotel is beautiful! Most staff is super friendly. Over staffed for the simple fact you ask a question and they bounce you around. Food wasn’t the best time restrictions for dinner 6pm dress codes kept it classy. I am a foody and my expectations did not get met. I had to leave the resort to get food because I was starving ! Drinks were not the best water down. Love the scene the beach water was not the clearest. Entertainment team 10/10 shout out to Marcos and Tony for making my stay very enjoyable/entertaining. Always filled me in with the activities that were has day to day! Music wasn’t the best but wasn’t the worst. Very American rare Hispanic music. Rooms are gorgeous. Room service great. Favorite food the hibachi did have to make a reservation and they book same day opening at 3pm that sucks. Limited space ended up upgrading to the $65 menu with that I was able to book next day. If you spend money you’ll get treater better.

The good:
- Modern Rooms
- Kind and attentive staff at all of the restaurants
- A good amount of activities and entertainment going on all of the time
- Kayaks, paddle boards, and a small sailboat are available to use on the beach. Shout-out to Miguel from Aquaworld, he piloted our sailboat. He was great.
- One of the better restaurant selections I've seen at an all inclusive resort
- Decent room service menu all day/night
The bad:
- Not a good beach destination. It's not nearly as nice as the beaches on the main hotel zone resorts.
- Drinks were weak. I hardly ever drink, and know that I'm usually at a good spot after 1 or 2. I had to drink 6-7(mostly tequila water) to even feel a buzz. Sucks to have to consume all of those calories/volume of fluid. I'm pretty sure they must be cutting their alcohol bottles with water.
- The bathroom has no exhaust fan so it gets muggy. There is also just a think hanging glass door for the toilet, so be prepared to not have any privacy.
I'd come back if it was in a better spot. The beach is definitely the low point.
Something to note before booking is that there is a dress code for most of the restaurants. It's pretty relaxed, but still worth preparing for.

I had an amazing time here, I definitely recommend staying here! Great rooms, breathtaking views, delicious food and the entire staff was friendly and welcoming but what really made my trip spectacular was the PHENOMENAL entertainment team!! I can not say enough good things about them - they really made everything such a fun experience, from yoga to pool activities (volleyball, bingo, hangman) to making sushi and painting!
Huge thank you to Tony, Uncle Charlie, Marco, Andy, David, and Monty for being so amazing! I can’t wait to book another trip and come back! ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

I recommend staying here. Arrival & departure was easy. We were greeted, helped w/our bags & escorted. It was my Bday trip, so they had a happy birthday banner on the door when we arrived. I didn’t get to enjoy all of the restaurants they offer but I did go to Spoon for breakfast and lunch (5/5), Barefoot Grill (5/5), Fish Nets (5/5) & Silk City (for hibachi, 3.5/5). Also ordered room service multiple times and enjoyed the bars (5/5). We got massages that felt amazing but pricing was higher than expected. The couples massage was $310. I had coupons for $40 off but the guy said I could not use on a couples massage, even tho the coupon says it can be used for all spa services. I hated that. Some employees were trying to waste our time w/time shares, that was annoying. I’m pretty stern tho so we were left alone after I politely declined. The beach is directly behind the resort & has pretty, clear water. I enjoyed the stay overall.
