My husband surprised me with a trip to Mexico for a long weekend so I didn't know what to expect and for once I can honestly say that I'd return to this resort. I'll list my positive experiences first...that's the fun part!
Our room...Clean, comfortable and well stocked. The shower was my favorite part with the large rain shower option. Sheets were soft and clean. The patio was perfect for enjoying the morning
Restaurants and food...by far the best resort food that I've ever had and we've been to a lot of resorts. The breakfast was well stocked with an amazing selection to choose from. It was my favorite, to be honest.
We ate at Spumante the first night and everything that we had was fantastic. There was zero wait and the service was amazing. We enjoyed two bottles of wine from the wine list, at an additional charge of course. Well worth it for the whole experience.
Poolside grills were fresh with a nice selection. The pizza is always a great choice!!
Entertainment...the pools were nice and had plenty of seating. There could definitely be more shade but otherwise, no complaints. We had to leave the rooftop pool one afternoon for a wedding but we just went down stairs and picked up where we left off.
I only gave 4 stars for service because there were some things that could have been better explained or executed. One being check in. After you get upstairs you're told to sit down and the wait is quite annoying. Once we were able to check in we were taken directly to our room despite it only being 11:00am.
We made reservations at the hibachi restaurant and was not told that if you upgrade to premium seating that you cannot cancel. Since you have to pay for the premium seating, that should be communicated. We were not able to make our reservations and when I tried to cancel, I was told the balance of $118 would be billed to our room regardless. And it was.
Over all, I would consider this a great place to stay. I'm a tough crowd when it comes to all-inclusive resorts and I really liked this one. I would love to return for a longer stay later in the year.

nice hotel rooms. axel was amazing. definitely kept the vibes up and great. he taught water aerobics like a legend. great service and entertainment every night. 10/10 recommend. i came as a family trip and was definitely out of place. more of a honeymoon place.

The resort is beautiful, clean, and very modern. Their staff is incredible and always willing to help and show gratitude. However, the food at this resort is nothing more than mediocre at the most along with their drinks. We purchased the “exhale” package for top shelf liquors that always seemed to be out of stock, never received our welcome gift, or our free spa therapy. If you are a beach person, this definitely isn’t for you due to the beach being in a terrible location, shallow and covered grass. We aren’t complainers, but did bring these issues to several people’s attention with no resolution. To say the least, we will never go back to Breathless Soul Cancun or recommend it to anyone either.

I was there Fri-Wed and I have no complaints! All staff were friendly & inviting! Rooms were very nice & clean. Some days the room was cleaned twice! Room service was pretty fast and pretty good. Food was good not great but the best I’ve had at an inclusive resort. I had a great experience and would def go back!

DO NOT COME HERE FOR THE BEACH!
Check-in was a long process even with the Xhale package. We waited 2-3 hours to get our room which was a common trend for all guests. Probably a much longer process in the main lobby. The room was clean however the water smelled worse than other resorts I have stayed. The tub on the balcony did not work and smelled even worse than the shower. The beach was terrible, didn’t even go (our fault for not focusing on location). The food and drinks were good, service was good, pool on the roof was the best part and where we spent most of our time. Only issue with the pools and hot tubs were that they closed at 8pm, (so we went to sleep at 9 every night after dinner). We had a good time however there are many other resorts that are much better.
