This is an average place but in a beautiful place. Puerto de la Cruz is very scenic with both coastal and tropical feel with beautiful walks and plenty of places to eat. The people are friendly and welcoming. The hotel on the other hand is a different story. There are three buildings in this resort and I stayed in Canerife Palace with family and friends, and none of them were impressed by it's dated decor in serious need of an update. I would not rate this place 4*. it's more of a 3* experience. The food options were ok, although there isn't much if you are a vegetarian or vegan. The quality of food generally is very good on the island. There were very limited drinks options in the bars in all-inclusive, although other drinks were available for a price. Most of the staff were helpful. I wouldn't stay at this place again, but would certainly visit Puerto de la Cruz again.

A very friendly hotel with lovely staff. The rooms are spotlessly clean, although our room could do with updating, a new carpet, etc. That said, the beds are extremely comfortable and the housekeeping staff very efficient. The buffet breakfast and dinner were good with lots of lovely, fresh produce. Some of the food can be repetitive so it's best to be selective on a daily basis to ensure variety. The hotel is not bad. 4 with minus. It's okay thanks to the reasonable prices. The food is very ordinary. Half of it is tasteless. In my opinion, it tastes worse than in a regular cafeteria. The service is good, territory is okay; you can use the territories of the neighboring hotel. Cockroaches was not detected. The location is so-so. You can walk to the beach/center, but getting back up is a real pain because the slope is very steep (about 100 meters) with lots of stairs. But they have a shuttle that runs from the hotel to the center. On the one hand, this is a plus, but on the other, we only found out where it stops in the center at the end of our trip. They didn't tell us this information at reception. So I'm telling you: the bus stop is right UNDER the shopping center(underground parking). The paid lockers, however, were disappointing. In a hotel like this. And if you had to leave your room twice, you'd have to pay twice. That's a minus. There are problems with the toilets in the rooms. They are right next to the foot wash, making it impossible to sit normaly on the toilet.

Lovely hotel nice and clean . Food standard. But if your after entertainment i wouldn't start at this hotel. We stayed over new year break and it was shocking didn't start till about 9.45pm and it was just a bit of music playing, one lady did singing for 30 min which was the only good bit of entertainment over my 7 days break here. Heated small pool were only 12 people at a time in, no cocktails are included in the all inclusive never had that before stayed on the islands many times also the all inclusive drinks finished at 11pm on year eve.

Its a collection of three hotels that share facilities. The food for all inclusive 'inmates' is dreadful... there's genuinely no redeeming features about it other than it is fuel. Most of the hot food was bland and cold... the pizza bread was more like cardboard and the sausages at breakfast might have the lowest meat content of any sausage I've eaten before. I'm never getting an all inclusive deal again...
