When choosing this hotel, I was guided by the price-to-review ratio. On Google Maps, it had a 4.2/5 rating, which is very high for a three-star hotel. I read a lot of reviews and was almost certain that it wouldn’t surprise me in a negative way. Rooms: Pros: The interior is clearly renovated. It’s cozy and comfortable (Junior Suite). The bedroom is separate from the living room and bathroom. Cons: The air conditioning was weak and noisy. Cleaning: Each time, cleaning lasted around 3 minutes – if anything was lying on the floor, it was simply skipped during mopping. Also, there were lots of ants if anything sweet was left behind. Generally, ants in Mallorca are standard. Hotel exterior: Not renovated, but nothing terrible. You can relax by the pool and use it without any issues. Staff: The animators are the heart of this hotel, along with the reception team – they’re the only ones who didn’t make strange faces and were very helpful. I had lots of laughs with them and would definitely recommend them. In the evenings, there are live shows or events like bingo. All-Inclusive: A disaster – tasteless, repetitive, sometimes undercooked, sometimes overcooked. Out of 5 days, I only enjoyed one meat dish and one pasta sauce. The quality of the drinks was laughable. Only the beer tasted normal. Overall, I rate this hotel 3/5 – but without the all-inclusive. If including the food, I’d give it a 2/5.

Hotel is very central to everything you need. Food was nice but not a major selection of it. Snack bar was awful, nothing on offer. No sunbed wars thank goodness! No cocktails unless paying sadly but they were nice. The rooms... 2 of us stayed in a junior suite, 2 in the apartments. The apartments are in a separate complex which isn't ideal. Dark and abit ominous walking to it at night. Apartments were tiny, very dated, rusty, musty and mouldy. We did complain but hotel was fully booked so nothing could be done and nothing was done. Very disappointing attitude from reception. We ended up moving in to the junior suite for everything except for sleeping which we couldn't change. All in all the hotel was handy to use for a base but basic. Definitely not for kids, nothing to do. Entertainment staff tried but I think with the lack of facilities there's only so much they can do.

The hotel room was amazing, the beds were comfortable, the bathroom was clean and well equipped. The animation team made sure that we had, fun all of them was super nice and helpful The other workers were also helpful and kind. Everything was in walkable distance the beach is very close to the hotel. The food was incredible we had a big selection of food every time. All around it was a great experince, I can only recommend it.

This is our first family holiday in a long time and we can't say anything bad whatsoever. The service frim all of the staff had been exceptional, there are plenty of activities for the children to do throughout the entire day. The location is great, a short 5 minute walk at max to the beach where there are plenty of places to perch up for the day. The sunbeds we used were fairly expensive for the day at €38 but the location was worth it and then sea is fairly shallow for quite a distance. The rooms were kept in good standing and cleaned everyday to a good standard. For the price of the holiday, this has been a great choice and one we would consider again in the future.

Absolutely not recommended. This hotel does not match the photos advertised. I can’t even call it a proper holiday experience, so I’ll simply say — I stayed at Bluesea Gran Playa for a week in an economy room with two kids. The economy rooms, described at booking as being “in an annex,” turned out to be in a completely separate building across the street. The rooms were extremely outdated — the furniture felt like it would fall apart at the slightest touch. Instead of proper beds, we had fold-out cots with a mattress placed on top (fortunately, at least the mattress was comfortable), but it felt like it could slide off the base at any moment. There was no shower — just an old, rusty bathtub with a broken shower hose. On the first day, the water pressure was so strong it actually hurt the kids’ skin — thankfully, they did replace it after we complained. Towels were dirty, and the ventilation system wasn’t even properly installed — just hanging near a hole in the wall. The room had a strong chemical smell after each cleaning. It took two days of begging them to stop using such strong products (due to my allergy flare-up and the fact that we had two small kids in the room) before they finally listened. But the very next day, we had cockroaches in our room — twice in one day. Massive ones. Hotel staff just smiled and said, “It’s normal, all hotels have them.” When I asked if they’re also in the kitchen, the answer was, “Of course not” — not very convincing. Now about the food — a total disaster. Tasteless, under-seasoned, with very limited options. Breakfast included yogurt and cereal in separate bowls. For lunch, that same yogurt would be served in a glass with cereal sprinkled on top — and they called it dessert. Or meat from the previous night’s dinner thrown into a salad. Over the seven days, it was a struggle to get the kids to eat anything other than bread and butter — the only thing that tasted decent. Drinks were only available in the restaurant. If you didn’t have cash, you couldn’t get a drink even with the all-inclusive package. You had to pay a deposit of 1 euro per cup — in cash only. No cash = no drink. The same goes for using the iron, the safe, or even pool towels. You pay not only for the service, but also a deposit of 5, 10, or even 20 euros depending on the item. Good thing they didn’t charge extra for the air you breathe — though I wouldn’t be surprised. Bottom line: If you’re looking for a relaxing, enjoyable vacation — do not choose this hotel. Ever.
