This is my second time staying at this hotel and I’ve loved my stays so much. The staff are amazing and so friendly. I had a maintenance issue but they rectified it within 10 minutes which is great. The food was better than I expected and the drink selection was great too. The pools are a great and the location is ideal too. Yes the rooms are a little old fashion, but, they are exactly as advertised and are a great size with a balcony to relax on too. I will definitely be going back again and cannot wait.

We stayed 4 nights all-inclusive and overall enjoyed our stay. The apartment was spacious with a nice balcony and terrace, though some areas (like the kitchen) were a bit run down. Food was decent but limited for vegetarians. Staff were lovely and very helpful. Downsides: no water dispenser, and you must buy a cup for drinks (you get the money back), which aren’t always well cleaned. Despite this, we still had a good time and would recommend.

Blue Sea Callao Gardens – 2 Stars We stayed at Blue Sea Callao Gardens and unfortunately found the experience quite underwhelming. The all-inclusive package really isn’t worth it. Cocktails are not included, the juice machine wasn’t working, and only fizzy soft drinks were available as mixers. The food was consistently cold, even when freshly brought out, and the options were very limited. The salad bar consisted of just lettuce, onions, olives, cucumber, and a few sauces, with a small selection of ham, salami, cheese, one or two meats, and usually a potato dish. The restaurant was also uncomfortable in the heat, with no air conditioning and only ceiling fans that made little difference. We were told we could not sit outside with our meals, even though it was cooler outdoors than inside. In addition, there was a staff member present during meal service who frequently asked guests to move or leave certain areas, even when the restaurant was full and those areas had plenty of available seats. This made dining feel unnecessarily stressful. Rooms also had a number of issues. There was no air conditioning, and fans could only be rented for €30 per week. Towels required a €20 deposit each. Beds were very hard, and what was meant to be a double bed turned out to be two singles tied together with zip ties. The sofa bed, although slightly softer, was heavily worn and dirty. There was visible mold under the kitchen sink, and the bathroom was not well maintained – the toilet was loose and rocked underneath you, and the sink area was covered in ants. The snack bar was extremely basic, offering only bread, meat, cheese, and a few plain biscuits. Entertainment was also very limited, consisting of bingo on most nights, with the only exception being a trio of singers on Saturday evening. On the positive side, the pools were a good size and enjoyable, and the fresh fruit and vegetables provided were of good quality. Excursions offered through the hotel were worthwhile, though it’s worth checking prices online before booking, as online rates are often cheaper than those offered in person. The nearby supermarkets were also very convenient for buying your own food and drinks. Overall, self-catering is probably the best option if you stay here. While there are a few positives, the overall experience left us disappointed, and we wouldn’t choose the all-inclusive package again. Pros: Large, enjoyable pools Fresh fruit and vegetables Good excursions available Close to supermarkets for self-catering Cons: All-inclusive not worth it (cocktails not included, broken juice machine) Food consistently cold with very limited choices Restaurant uncomfortable, no AC, ceiling fans ineffective No outdoor dining allowed with meals Staff member during meal service regularly asking guests to move, adding stress Rooms hot, fans extra cost (€30/week) Towels require €20 deposit Very hard beds; “double” bed was two singles tied with zip ties Sofa bed dirty and worn Mold under the kitchen sink Toilet loose and unstable Bathroom sink area covered in ants Snack bar minimal Entertainment poor (mostly bingo, one night of singers) Excursions sometimes cheaper online than through hotel.

When we got off the plane, my children and my wife were very hungry and we had missed lunch time. After check-in, we went to the restaurant and it was closed. We said We are too hungry that at the restaurant door AURELIO, the lovely person asked us “Do you like Chicken and Chips?” We said Yes, so come on the kitchen, he said, We got very happy. He is an angel and very friendly man. And the hotel is 3 stars because the rooms furniture is Old fashioned but no problem for me. Very clean, very delicious food and walking distance to the amazing beach and it has 3 big pools. Affordable prices. Highly recommended.

Positive things: size of the rooms, they are apartments with separate bedroom and really spacious. Seemed clean and shower had really good water pressure. Pools, they are really really lovely with good depth to swim. If it wasn't for the pools this hotel would have been dreadful. Location - close to a lovely little collection of restaurants and bars. No real shops except some tat shops and supermarket. Plenty of street parking outside too. Negatives: rooms are really dated with old wooden cupboards and wardrobes swollen with water damage. The bathroom STINKS it reminded us of the old 1990s apartments with that horrible stale urine, bad drains smell in the bathrooms. Horrible Staff were absolutely miserable and didn't want to engage or smile. Food selection was small for an all inclusive. Not much salad selection and I had a few things which were absolutely stone cold...like meatballs and fried egg! All in all we wouldn't return, it doesn't warrant even 3 stars and it really needs a complete refurbishment. If it had that I reckon it could be a nice little place.
