Fantastic week here with my Partner. Staff were lovely, food selection was out of this world and everywhere was clean. I forgot to mention the lovely Maria who serves at the poolside bar all day. She is so happy and helpful to everyone, a real credit to your hotel. Also the lovely lady charged with cleaning our room last week ( rm 312 ) who wished me happy birthday when she saw my birthday cards in the room. Always smiling 😃

I have just recently landed this morning from staying at blue bay hotel. I would love to begin by praising the staff. Each and every person from the bar staff, reception, restaurant, cleaners, entertainment team, men who rode the mini bus and took our luggage to the room was all outstanding . So lovely, smiley and friendly . Furthermore, A bar staff with black hair glasses around 20- the most lovely man I have ever been served by. He was so welcoming and always checked on me and my partner when we saw him around. He was so kind and great customer service ! I know many guests thought the same. Everyone smiled when here was near. ( I would love if he would know about this review). we had problems with our room (which was our airlines fault not the hotel) as they was not advertised as they looked but the staff handled the situation the best way we could have wished for. They upgraded us and made sure we was happy! And lastly the views are outstanding from the hotel, every where u go there is a sea view or a Mountain View. And the food was delicious!!! Thankyou we had a lovely stay.

Very good for the price. Staff are friendly and attentive of guest needs. They are also aware of allergies and disabilities for the guests that need it. We observed people in wheelchairs etc. That were able to stay at the hotel too and people of all ages could enjoy the view of the hills and olive trees. The rooms were clean and tidy. There is a small shop for convenience and a free shuttle bus to the beach if you don't want to walk down the steep hill. Overall really enjoyed my stay and had a good time.

Arrived late due to flight delay, hotel had food for us and evening staff were very helpful and took luggage to room. Room was cleaning and as expected. Had a few issues with the jacuzzi, but the hotel sorted this out straight away . House keeping was amazing ,fresh towels every day very polite friendly when giving room a go over . The food was amazing ,different food everyday,most of it still hot ,but that does depend on the time u go if the serving dish was almost gone then of course it be a little cold,but soon as they saw this they were out putting more fresh food out . The waiting staff were brilliant clearing tables quickly ,friendly polite. The hotel has 4 pools ,however only 3 at the main hotel,yes that right main part ,you have to go out the main hotel and walk a hill in the heat to find the 4th pool,again not the hotels fault ,the holiday package again was misleading ,the also have a theatre just out side the hotel.when you arrived they tell you where everything is and in room you have a little book showing you Only fault I found with the hotel was the evening entertainment, mostly around the pool bar not big enough , Also the drinks were not good,beer most days was flat,and the fizzy drinks tasted funny, and alcohol drinks on all inclusive well its just the 2 spirits raki ,oizo. And only up to 23:00 then you have to pay for coke,beer,spirit's. You can get other cocktails which you pay for but they aren't worth it either The area is a let down if you want to climb mountains everyday then this is the holiday for you ,the hotel do offer a bus to the local beach which is down a very steep hill ,the beach isn't big enough for the hotels that are using it ,then if you want to come back before the bus then it's a very steep climb up a hill in the heat,okay if ur a young one . The next place with in walking distance into the small town (again a few hills ) that has a lovely beach ,where you can hire sunbeds and umbrella for 10 euro ,the beach front has loads of restaurants all reasonably priced, few supermarkets as well as the strip of shops selling beach stuff and fridge magnets etc. After a day at the beach you do not want to walk up hill for 20 mins to get back to hotel. You can grab a cab for 10 euros back. There is a bus outside the hotel that takes you into heraklion for 4 euros each way worth the visit but something you might only want to do once . There are boat rides,day trips,Quad riding ,which they want to sell you and almost everywhere you go. No fault at all with hotel,very clean,very tidy,they work hard looking after you and the hotel.

Unfortunately, we as group of 8 were also struck down by the mysterious illness that was circulating the hotel last week. Whether it was an illness or food poisoning I found that the hotel was not at all attentive to this matter. Me and my Mum were lucky and didn’t contract the illness but all other members of our party did. We asked if we could have a separate room as we were told it was highly contagious and my mum is very vulnerable. We had to wait 2hrs for them to see if there was an empty room to be told there wasn’t. We had an unpleasant time with the staff to try and sort something out, they asked us if the infected group could group up and share a room, bearing in mind the rooms weren’t disinfected and there was only one toilet in each room, for an illness that comes out both ends that was a ridiculous remark. In the end we had to book another hotel for the night as we had no where to sleep. We weren’t advised on any local hotels and had to find one for ourselves. There was no help with the ill, seeing as there are a lot of reviews stating people were ill, not one staff member contacted us to see if we needed any water or food bringing up. You would think that would be the bear minimum you could do. My friends luckily felt better the next day but getting the rooms disinfected was a battle, no sheets were changed until we asked. We stayed in the annex and there was sick all over the disabled loos that was left there for more than 12hrs, dirty toilets and dirty sheets left all up the corridors. I’m really disappointed as we’ve spent a lot of money on this holiday. I will not be returning or recommending due to really bad hygiene and lack of customer support.
