Our stay at Berjaya Langkawi Resort in November 2025 was exceptional. Beautiful jungle surroundings, friendly wildlife (keep your chalet doors closed because of the monkeys!), and a truly welcoming atmosphere. Special thanks to Jamal for organizing a sweet birthday surprise for our daughter and to housekeeper Safuan for the lovely room decoration and spotless cleanliness. We tried all the restaurants — everything was delicious, with plenty of vegetarian options. The roti is unbeatable! Rooms are clean and well equipped. Shuttles run smoothly throughout the resort and arrive within minutes. The private beach is calm with a gentle entry; just be mindful of occasional jellyfish. Towels are always available, and there are plenty of sunbeds. Oriental Village is only a 10-minute walk away, and Cenang is easy to reach with Grab (very affordable). Don’t miss Orkid Ria Seafood Restaurant! Highly recommend this resort — come with a positive mood and enjoy the beauty of Langkawi.

Stayed at the water chalet at Berjaya Langkawi and absolutely loved it. The ocean view from the room was incredible - I slept with the doors wide open every night and fell asleep to the sound of the waves. The resort sits between the rainforest and the sea, so you really get the best of both. I spotted a colugo (flying lemur) and dusky leaf monkeys around the grounds, which was such a treat. Plenty pf bird life too. The private beach is beautiful. Food was good, staff were friendly, and the entire resort had a peaceful natural feel. A great stay for anyone who loves ocean views, wildlife and it's a great exposure to Langkawi's natural beauty.

An ok hotel (def not 5*). Read a few of the reviews on here and some folks need a reality check- the hotel is spread out in a jungle/rainforest so having physical keys, waiting for a shuttle or seeing wildlife is hardly a big deal. My stay… Rooms- I had booked a premier sea view. Overall the room was comfortable but dated. Ended up in one with connecting doors to the neighbour - there is no internal ‘lock’ so both parties rely on each having theirs closed. I queried this with reception. Unfortunately my issue was with the guests above me. All the walls and floors are super thin. So for 2 of nights into my stay a group arrived and were incredibly noisy (stomping around, slamming doors, moving the heavy furniture at 2am). Reception said they’d remind them to be quiet. Don’t bother with the TV - analogue channels and wouldn’t connect to internet/wifi. Minibar and water was restocked daily. Food - Breakfast ok. Large buffet, sometimes a table queue for a few minutes if you go at peak. Dinner ok. Large menu in the main restaurant. You can get mostly the same on the room service menu (I did it twice fine). Service was slow in restaurant (including staff to take orders), took 40+ mins for a club sandwich. Second time I went they offered free fruit to guests for the delays. Staff - Staff were lovely. Good use of WhatsApp to contact front desk, order room service or laundry etc. Shuttle guys were always friendly and communicative. I did the free resort nature walk and the guy was really good. Spa - really enjoyed this on one of the rainy days whilst I was there. Highlight of the stay. Reasonable prices. Gym - basic equipment but enough for a few days. — Overall I’m not sure I’d go back (due to the sleep issues, I think I left more jet lagged than I arrived) but I’m glad I visited given the uniqueness of the resort.

Berjaya Langkawi is set on a stunning stretch of rainforest by the beach, with standalone chalets scattered across the huge property. Staying here really feels like being immersed in nature — you’ll see monkeys, flying lemurs, and all kinds of native plants right outside your room. It’s a peaceful, one-of-a-kind environment that’s hard to come by. The staff are consistently warm and helpful, and they deserve credit for the distances they cover on foot or by motorbike even in the rain, just to attend to guests in such a large resort. The gym facilities are decent, and the property is generally well kept and clean. However, the hotel management could tighten up on room standards. Basic amenities like toothbrushes and fresh towels were not always consistently stocked, which is surprising for a resort of this size and reputation. With better consistency in maintenance and room preparation, the overall stay would be significantly improved. A wonderful getaway for those who love nature — and with a little more attention from management, it has the potential to be truly outstanding.

Dear Berjaya Team, We had a truly wonderful stay at your resort! I visited with my senior citizen parents, and I deeply appreciate how thoughtfully your team ensured everything was comfortable for them — right from arranging a stool for the buggy pick-up and drop to being so considerate throughout our stay. Your property is absolutely beautiful, but what makes it truly special is your incredible staff. Their warmth, kindness, and attention to detail made all the difference. A big, big thank you to the entire team for making our trip so memorable! Warm regards, Nida Fathima
