We stayed 4 nights at Berjaya Langkawi Resort in a Rainforest Chalet. Our first room had a view of the parking area, but after asking we were kindly moved to one with a jungle view, which was much better. The room was reasonably clean but quite dated. The air conditioning was noisy, though the free minibar drinks were a nice touch and refilled daily. Check-in was smooth, and the staff were very friendly and helpful. The resort’s shuttle service worked well. We had dinner at the Thai restaurant on the water and it was very good. The beach is beautiful and quiet. The swimming pool and pool bar need maintenance. The pool looks old, with broken plastic glasses and worn sunbeds. Overall, the location and jungle setting were the highlights. You can spot monkeys, lizards and birds around the resort. It’s a bit far from town, but close to the cable car, with a free shuttle available. A beautiful place with great nature and friendly staff, but the resort could use some renovation and better maintenance.

This place has my heart! Everything about Berjaya Langkawi Resort is just perfect! If you’re looking for a beach resort for your stay in Langkawi then look no further and read no further, just book Berjaya already! Yes, that’s the review! The location is very good. Located about 20-minutes drive from the airport on the western tip of the island, it is situated right next to the Oriental Village and the Cable Car station. Very secluded and away from the noise and hustle bustle of other areas like Kuah or Cenang. The rooms are very spacious and quite nicely spread out. We booked the Premier Seaview Chalet for two nights and for our last night we treated ourselves to their magnificent Premier Chalet on Water. The view from the Seaview Chalet is nice and you feel as if you’re living in a hilltop cottage overlooking the ocean. The Chalet on Water is just next level. It really feels as if you’re staying on the water and at night I just loved listening to the waves as they lulled me to sleep. The bathrooms are huge! The breakfast spread at Dayang Cafe is very lavish. They have innumerable options to choose from. Try the local flavours for sure. I loved their Roti Canai. The staff is very polite and helpful. They really take care of all the guests. Overall, we loved our stay at Berjaya Langkawi Resort and I am definitely coming back here next time I’m in the beautiful Langkawi. Tip: As the rooms are spread out quite far away from the lobby, you need to go in a shuttle buggy and sometimes it may take time for the buggy to arrive. So always keep 5-10 minutes buffer at hand.

This is truly a great resort not to miss for Langkawi stay. We stayed in the over-water suite with Jacuzzi, and it was really amazing. It is very close to Langkawi cable car and they arrange shuttle to the location. Everything in this resort met our expectations and exceeded it even, the in-suite breakfast and free mini-bar were great unexpected extras. We tried 2 of the restaurants in this hotel and both of them were great. Staff is cooperative a lot, and housekeeping team took good care of the room cleaning and our needs. I don’t think I need to search for any other hotel in case I visit Langkawi again.

It was one of the most surreal of experiences. Right from the check in till the check out, everything was a breeze. The rooms are very spacious and the views from most of the rooms are to kill for, The location is top notch and has absolutely great views of the ocean and the forest. They have round the clock buggy services to take you to and from the rooms. The food options are great too. However, there could have been more vegetarian/vegan options. All of us in our family enjoyed the trip and hospitality. This will be our go to stay in langkawi for every future trip and would recommend it to others too.

Our experience at Berjaya Resort Langkawi was nothing short of amazing! From the breathtaking natural setting to the warm hospitality, everything exceeded our expectations. A very special mention to Roger Chew, who went above and beyond to make our special event truly unforgettable. His attention to detail, thoughtfulness, and personal touch made all the difference — we can’t thank him enough! We also had the pleasure of meeting Johari, the Executive Sous Chef, who was not only an incredible chef but also such a wonderful person to chat with. He kindly taught us how to make roti canai, which was such a fun and memorable experience. Every staff member we met was friendly, professional, and genuinely cared about making our stay special. The resort itself is stunning — surrounded by nature, peaceful beaches, and the perfect place to unwind. Thank you, Berjaya Langkawi team, for making our trip one we’ll always remember.
