First impressions walking into the be live hotel was very dated & the smell of old musty smell hit you. We arrived at 1am on Sunday the first of June, we paid for 7 nights through TUI but we only had six nights, TUI never informed us at the time of booking on 6th March of the sea closure due to waste contamination in the see at the 2 closest beaches, the other beach was not a beach but a quarry due to being covered in rocks & pebbles. Not only was the hotel tired but the resort Puerto De La Cruz is very very tired, run down, scruffy & very dirty. Walking along the pavements it's disgustingly dirty with broken flagstone everywhere, looks like it's been totally trashed over the years. It's not a place I would recommend to anyone. Nice sized pool but yesterday Friday 06/06/25 we noticed a tissue on the plastic grids around the pool & it's still there now as I'm writing this & looking at it. If there were a section for photos I would have included it. The food in be live adults only was OK a couple of nights the beef stew & pulled pork just melted in your mouth so there were some good food too. The entertainment was OK but the best of all was the hotel entertainer Marcos, so much energy, passion in his work, you can tell he really loves his job. This hotel has really got a jewel in Marcos who absolutely makes the days & nights so enjoyable as without him it would not be the same. Look after him as Marcos is the hotels best asset. The hotel was good, the entertainment ok, I didn’t watch that much of it as it was in a separate room to the main bar area. The pool area was large, plenty of sun beds with mattresses. The bar service was good. The food was a let down by the fact that it wasn’t always hit, very often just Luke warm, however there was plenty of it and a good variety.

Absolutely not a 4 Star rating hotel! Terrible standart Food which is served almost everyday. 3 Elevators... while 1 of them is permanently broken and the 2nd one breaks twice a week.. not good when you are sitting on the 11th floor... Way to less staff who can just "look" and "take care" of the daily work in the hotel. The managers and owner are clearly after profit maximising and thats exactly what you feel after 2 days in here! Absolute shame because the staff tries to do their work honestly!

For the first 3 days over Christmas we enjoyed ourselves,hotel very dated in most areas but very clean,credit to the cleaning staff also the reception staff were first class.We then came down with food poisoning,5 days later and now at home fortunately we are still suffering.Food wasn't hot and the waiters were placing glasses on the tables with their fingers inside them then moving on to collect dirty plates not hygienic. Wouldn't recommend the hotel shame really but the food was not good at all

Food very bad, poorest quality and cooked very bad, no taste , no seasoning, look warm and often not cooked enough if you like salad and fruit your OK plenty of that, that doesn't have to be cooked. We came all inclusive but eating out now can stomach the hotel food anymore.
