Stayed with family 5D4N over the New Year's in a family suite. As the partial sea view suite was unavailable, we were upgraded to the sea view suite. Odd, though, that the master bedroom had the hill view while the kid's room got the pool and sea view! The rooms are spacious and clean, even if the age of the establishment shows. But everything (water, air-con, lights) works well and that is what matters. We were all very comfortable. Buffet breakfast is great and the portions of a la carte dining (we ate poolside and at the restaurant) are huge as well as delicious. There is a 4m deep end to the pool which is interesting. Otherwise, the pool is good and there is an expansive lawn for deckchairs. Some may want to (and some did!) bring their own picnic mat for when chairs run out. There are ample water coolers around so do bring your own water bottle. The gym is non-airconditioned and rather run-down but it served my treadmill and weight-training needs in very breezy conditions. The hotel is at one end of the beach strip but one can easily walk out to various spots for eating massages and some shopping. Daughter sprained her foot on Day 3 and they loaned her a wheelchair to use within the hotel. Overall, a very relaxing stay!

I heard This hotel is about to close down. Very poorly maintained. Many health hazards. They have mold and plumbing problems. And I think that’s why they don’t care about those health hazards. Because they are shutting down soon. Whatever money they can get they will get. My room should have never been allowed to stayed in. Esp if you have kids. It’s a health hazard. Staff are super nice and friendly but what can they do? The owners and management know about this problem and yet they still sell these rooms. The minute you enter the room the smell of mold hits your face. They offered me free breakfast. I didn’t want it. I have 4 kids with me where am I to go last minute ? I came 10000 miles across the planet. Thank God views were beautiful one nice thing. Stop allowing this room to be used. I don’t know how recent guests have not noticed the mold in the bathrooms. Apparently It’s not just my room. The AC is blowing damp and smelly air. Spend the extra money and go to another hotel. Please

I rate this hotel very highly. We had the best nights sleep here. It is a family friendly hotel, but we were a couple, and didn’t feel that this conflicted, the layout and running of the hotel created a relaxed environment for all. We really appreciated the care and attention the staff took to deliver a quality experience for the guests. Direct access to the beach was great. There are a number of restaurants that were easily accessible from the beach front. We really enjoyed being able to stroll along the beach to dinner (together with fire dancing for entertainment), to return back to the tranquility of the hotel afterwards.

The property is so old, gym room is horrible, no air con (which I can’t believe!) and the equipments are so old and dirty that you don’t wanna even touch them. My room furniture is soooo old and some of them are broken. Tv not working properly and had to ask the reception to send someone to fix it. Safe is not working and had to call someone to fix it. Took too long to have someone to come and make up our room (sent a request at 9am, the person didn’t come until 10:30am). Overall bad stay experience. Very old hotel :( Wifi is so slow and can’t browse often. Lots of broken furniture. Old furniture. Breakfast is so bad, too many local choices, its not international style to cater tourists. Thats also the reason why the hotel is full of local people with muslim religious. The breakfast is too muslim focused so no pork, i think its not good, as an international hotel. The breakfast variety is also very poor. I struggled to find food to eat. Overall bad dining experience! I do NOT recommend this hotel in batu Ferringhi, there are much better hotels in the Ferringhi bay area, like Park Royal, Shangari-la. The owner said the hotel can’t serve pork cos of Malaysia being a Muslim country, but they serve alcohol in the hotel bar! This is totally against Muslim culture!

We stayed at the junior suite with poolview. We were greeted by receptionist who was warm and welcoming. He upgraded us from partial sea view to a better view directly in front of the pool. I love our room, it was spacious and accesible entry. A wheelchair can easily enter and stay in the room. In the hotel description it said 1 queen bed and 2 single beds. Wht we got was extra large bed instead, which can fit 2 adults and 2 kids comfortably or 3 adults. The adjoining room was 2 single beds with their own TV. The only issue we had was the toilet hose which kept getting twisted and the sometimes low water pressure. I feel it is more sanitary if u put the knob to open the hose on the right side as we wash ourselves using left hand. After washed, had to use the same hand to turn the knob off. Other than that, no issue at all with the room. The breakfast buffet however, was quite basic- almost same menu during the 2 nights stay. Nasi lemak, roti canai/ jala (this they rotate), fried mee, bread, baked beans, sausage, scrambled eggs. Salad counter just had the lettuce, cherry tomatoes. Location was just nice- accessible to beach, can walk to restaurant or pasar malam (this can be quite far for those with children)
