We stayed here last week and had a brilliant holiday in this hotel. The hotel was kept very well, lots of maintenance and upkeep work evident all week to keep this hotel to a very high standard. The gardens and groundskeeping was excellent. All the staff are a credit to this hotel, very helpful and friendly. The food was excellent. Barut Hemera really is a well run hotel who aim to give guests the best possible experience. Could not rate this hotel highly enough. The only downside was that the TV in the hotel room was not linked up to wifi so you could'nt stream to them from a mobile.

⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ A hotel we truly want to return to! We stayed for a week as a family of three (with our 5-year-old) to enjoy some winter sun and celebrate a birthday and wedding anniversary — and absolutely loved our time here. From the moment we arrived, the hotel impressed us: personal refillable water bottles, a clean and comfortable room, and incredibly kind and attentive staff. The food selection was great for both adults and kids, especially considering it was off-season. We adored the little patisserie with its desserts and the cosy outdoor seating under the grapevine roof. Beautiful atmosphere! The beach is clean, the water crystal clear, and although a bit cold in late November, we still managed a few swims. The location is also perfect — about a 40-minute scenic walk along the promenade to Side’s historical centre (or 15 minutes by bike). A big highlight for us was the kids’ club. Danaia and Zarina were amazing — caring, creative and attentive. Our son enjoyed the crafts and activities every day and was sad to say goodbye. We highly recommend this hotel and will definitely return (hopefully when it’s warmer!).

So much could be said about Barut Hemera. From the moment you arrive, you’re welcomed as if you’re returning to family. The warmth and genuine hospitality of the staff are among the best we’ve experienced in all our travels. Attention to detail truly feels embedded in the DNA of Barut Hemera. For a resort of its size, it’s remarkable how flawless everything feels. The rooms are spotless, and the housekeeping and grounds teams do an exceptional job maintaining the property to the highest standard. The service staff are equally impressive — attentive, courteous, and always one step ahead, anticipating your needs before you even ask. And the food… simply outstanding. With endless choices and incredible flavours at every turn, there’s nothing left to wish for. Barut Hemera is more than a resort — it’s an experience. A true must-visit

AVOID - THERE ARE PLENTY OF OTHER OPTIONS I’m posting this as the feedback letter I wrote after our stay — the hotel didn’t even bother to reply. Which is bizarre, because the Hotel General Manager İzzet Bekir seems very responsive publicly, but has been quiet when confronted out of the public gaze. This place is marketed as a “5-star” all-inclusive, but the food experience (especially for vegetarians) was shocking. Vegetarian options were extremely limited and repeatedly compromised by cross-contamination with meat/fish. When we reported this, we were told to order what we wanted via a WhatsApp system we hadn’t even been told existed. What arrived was embarrassing — and still contaminated (inedible). The hotel also hides behind app-based communication in the guise of being green, so we only discovered key dining options late (we didn’t even know the beach restaurant existed for most of the trip). If you have allergies, stay away. They do not take cross-contamination seriously. For nut allergy sufferers this could be life or death — carry an epipen and know the local emergency number (Turkey 112). We even spoke to non-veg British guests who said they were regulars and feel the food standards here are slipping at an alarming rate. Housekeeping/detail was also below the level you’d expect at this price point. Rooms 'cleaned' in 5 minutes at random times. Did not bother to make the beds up (even though we left tody so minimal work involved). Only one positive- the serving and waiting staff are amazing and cannot be faulted. Perhaps, the managers could learn something from them. To make it worse, Jet2 have been useless and do not take this matter seriously. Side itself is grim - stick to Antalya. Closer to airport so avoid the 1-2 hour transfer too. We met vegetarian guests staying at other hotels who had awesome experiences — so don’t accept excuses. Avoid.

Just return for this resort. Barut resorts are known to the best one. we had great time and love to go back in future , all the hotel staff was very friendly and very cooperative. Food was very high class and lots of choice. resort was very clean all around, thanks to our room cleaning lady. she was very nice and her job was out class. My special thanks goes to guest relations manager Vural SONMEZ. he is very professional and friendly. once again thanks for arranging everything on my Birthday and treating me like special Guest. i will highly recommend this resort you will not be disappointed.
