Barceló Margaritas

I stayed at Barceló Margaritas in Maspalomas for one week as part of a group trip, and overall the experience was pleasant. The hotel is clean, well-maintained, and the staff is exceptionally friendly and helpful. The atmosphere is relaxed, and the facilities are generally well organized. The food offered throughout the week was acceptable, though the quality varied and at times felt a bit basic. Still, there was enough variety to find something suitable at each meal. The only real downside was the spa experience. As someone who works in luxury hotels as a massage therapist, I found the prices to be quite high compared to the standard of service provided. The massage I booked was not the one I received, and when I mentioned it, the only explanation given was that “this is how we usually do it.” This showed limited competence both in the treatment itself and in handling guest feedback, which was disappointing. Despite this, the rest of the hotel team was consistently professional and welcoming, which made the stay enjoyable overall. With some improvements to the spa service and training, Barceló Margaritas could deliver a much more balanced and satisfying experience.

Our 5 th time here and we love it . Great all round hotel with very friendly staff. Three swimming pools( although one is on the royal level.) Never have to wait long for a drink at the bar. The food is very much above other hotels and we have never had a bad experience regarding the choice or quality. A good pool side location with beds and free towel hire . Already looking forward to returning as this is one of our favourite hotels and location.

Went mid Oct weather lovely 25-28 degrees. Really pleasant hotel very friendly staff and excellent service from one of the duty managers - think her name was Tatiana (apologies if wrong , who sorted out a room issue we had). Buffet style food , we had HB option. Breakfast was good - plenty of options- omeletes cooked to order even british style sausages. Evening options also good. Rooms were comfortable and cleaned everyday . Rainbow shower was a nice feature. Didnt use pool but plenty of sunbeds. Bit weird in that split between 2 hotels us & Royal Level ( the grounds of which we couldnt enter- but they could use our facilities). Supermarkets nearby and a good 45 minute walk to Maspalomas along a dried up canal and 25 minutes walk to Playa de Ingles - there was a free bus service to/from Maspalomas.

Lovely hotel, and staff are really friendly, However, the entertainment is very poor, you pretty much entertainment yourself after your evening meal. Food - We could not fault, you could always have a plate of something to eat every night. Also different themes every night. They also have a little arcade for the kids, and they can collect tickets whilst playing, then trade them in for a prize at the end. Location- When you want to go out in the night it is a fair walk or taxi ride, to anything lively. But you do get a supermarket directly opposite the hotel. In the room- the lovely big mirror could do with some lighting as the room is very dark. There is also 2 English channels on the TV. Massive wardrobe space. Bathroom was lovely and spacious. Room key is on your wristband, which was great ( no losing it like those cards) Did have to change mine as it stopped working 5 days in, but everyone else's worked fine.

A fantastic hotel, super clean rooms, fantastic staff all round, the food for all inclusive is amazing, best I’ve ever had. My son and I had no trouble getting a sunbed, yes there are folk who leave towels all day but a quiet word with staff and the soon remove any towels left for to long. The entertainment crew were fantastic got loads involved and made a fantastic atmosphere. All the bar and dining room staff were friendly and welcoming. It’s a short walk to the markets and beach, and some fantastic wee restaurants close by if you fancy eating out
