We absolutely love Barceló Castillo, this was our second visit and it certainly won’t be our last! The hotel facilities are excellent, clean, modern, and there’s always plenty to keep the whole family entertained. The pools are spotless, inviting, and perfect for both adults and kids. The staff here are exceptional, friendly, and always willing to help, making our stay even more enjoyable. The all inclusive package is brilliant with great variety and quality of food and drinks, we never felt the need to venture out for meals. Our only slight observation is that the resort and rooms could use a bit more maintenance to keep everything at its best, but it’s a minor point in what has been another fantastic holiday experience. We look forward to coming back again!

This place is fantastic! It's just a hop, skip, and jump away from the beach, plus there’s a lovely swimming pool options. You can enjoy some delicious meals and drinks, all while making wonderful memories with your family. The staff is super friendly, and the rooms are always tidy and clean. Just a quick tip if you’re coming from the Spanish peninsula: the timing here is similar to the UK, so it’s a good idea to plan ahead for activities. Enjoy your stay!

⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ Highlights (for skimmers): • Honeymoon & first family holiday — made very memorable thanks to the team. • Initial room mix-up, but quickly resolved with excellent support from staff. • Caroline (Deputy Manager) went above and beyond with apologies & thoughtful gestures. • Food: fantastic quality and a wide variety of choice every day. • Premium package: excellent value, highly recommended. • Late check-out extended to 6pm free of charge as goodwill gesture. • We would happily return to a Barceló hotel, though next time we’d like to try a different location. Full Review: We stayed at Barceló Castillo in August 2025 for our honeymoon and first family holiday, and overall it has been a truly memorable experience. When we first arrived, there was some confusion with our room allocation, but the team acted quickly and moved us into a much more suitable suite with a separate bedroom and bathroom — perfect for our family, especially with a teenager who needed her privacy. A special thank you goes to Caroline, the deputy manager, who was incredibly helpful and apologetic. She personally arranged robes and slippers for us, and also surprised us with a beautiful cheese platter, juices, and a bottle of fizz, which really made us feel cared for. On our final day, the hotel kindly extended our check-out time free of charge until 6pm (instead of the usual 12pm) as a gesture of goodwill for the first night’s inconvenience. This was hugely appreciated, especially with our baby and children, and allowed us to enjoy our last day stress-free. The food deserves a special mention — the quality was fantastic and the variety each day meant there was always something different to enjoy. We were also extremely pleased we had opted for the Premium package. The extra benefits really elevated our stay and we found them to be excellent value. Aside from the initial hiccup, our experience at Barceló Castillo has been excellent. The staff throughout have been very friendly, welcoming, and attentive, which was a real highlight of the trip. We would definitely return to a Barceló hotel in the future — though next time we’d love to explore a different destination within the group.

This is a fantastic hotel to bring your family, no rushing about for loungers, no racing for the dinner hall, it was so laid back an exactly what we needed. The food is what it is but it was brilliant for all inclusive, I recommend you try the Brazilian restaurant as that was fantastic. The staff are amazing, and are so welcoming and helpful, usually you get one person known as the miserable one but we didn’t see them. They have a photographer who makes fantastic magazines as a momentum for you stay, for £25 it’s worth it. The pools are amazing, cold when you first get in but it’s so needed, note they are salt water pools. Location is fantastic, right on the harbour with excursions on the doorstep. We booked a bungalow which was basically a hotel room with a roof, the rooms were cleared to a high standard everyday. Coming back to the room with aircon on is the best feeling. Now, for the not so good. These are things to watch out for that are small but stop it getting 5/5. There is so much on, shows, activities clubs, but there is no information on where? When you ask staff they point you to the big information screen which tells you what you already know but not where to go. There are so many cups, straws and wrappers left over from the day before around the pool area which would encourage cockroaches, many mornings I was collecting cups under sun beds we wanted to use. So many lose tiles in the big pool, on time I counted 10 we stepped on. The service is slow for drinks at the restaurant, they really need a self service beer tap to reduce ques. Note your not allowed floats in the pools, now personally I do not mind this one bit but again a lack of information regarding this rule. On top it’s really unfair that the hotel shop sells something you’re not allowed to use. Would I come back? 100%. Check out the harbour area a 5 min walk as the spots bar is all inclusive and you get a discount on the restaurants, it offers a really laidback vibe.

We stayed in a deluxe 2 bed apartment overlooking the sea , it was absolutely beautiful. The room was very spacious and well equipped . The balcony was huge with 2 sun loungers and sofas , the view was amazing !! Pools were a good size and loads of sun loungers. The food and drink WOW, there was so much choice , we stayed all inclusive , which I would definitely recommend, everything was fresh and chefs cooking in front of you . Puddings are plentiful too , and delicious .All drinks were included which was great . The staff are a credit to the business , so helpful and friendly . Can’t wait to go back
