Being our first visit to Malta, we were very happy with our hotel choice. Barcelo Sliema was super in every aspect. Staff were friendly and helpful, choice of breakfast was excellent. Rooms were well equipped and very comfortable. The pool and spa offered all you could want. Hotel position was so convenient for transport to everywhere. Views of Valletta were great. We would highly recommend the hotel. Thank you for a very enjoyable visit.

I had a lovely stay here with my mother and sister for my mother’s birthday. The breakfast was amazing and the highlight of our stay. The team were all nice and friendly apart from when we went to visit the spa on our last day, the receptionist with tattoos and dark hair was extremely rude, we entered the spa, she did not greet us until she finished on her computer, spoken to her coworker in a rude manner in front of us then greeted us as if she did not want to be there. We were going to ask about booking a massage but her presence put us right off, we wanted to have a nice relaxing last day but we felt uncomfortable as soon as we walked in there.

Excellent hotel stay for my 30th Birthday! The team made it all super special from the moment we arrived, everyone is so attentive and welcoming especially Imran! A special birthday cake was left in my room and a card. The location is excellent, with views right across to Valletta and many restaurants to choose from. The rooms are spacious and perfect for a city break and the breakfast was delicious with a lot to choose from. Overall we loved our stay and will definitely recommend and will be back! I had a fantastic experience at the Barcelona Fortina in Malta, largely thanks to a staff member named Imran. I wanted to leave a review specifically to acknowledge how incredibly helpful he was with our luggage and his knowledge about Malta. He went out of his way to assist us, making what is usually a stressful part of travel completely seamless. Throughout our interaction, Imran was consistently polite and maintained a warm, genuine smile that immediately put us at ease. He is a true asset to the hotel, a perfect example of excellent customer service. If you visit, I hope you get the chance to meet him. Thank you, Imran!

First time in Malta and the Hotel was in a lovely location, with amazing views of Valletta whether you were sitting on your balcony, sunbathing around the pool or having some lovely food at Mantra. You have bars and some amazing restaurants not even half a mile from the front doors, with a lovely marina/waterfront walk to the get to them. The point shopping mall is also just a minutes walk from the hotel. Very nice if you want to get out of the heat and have a shop. For me the hotel was immaculate. Clean and modern hotel room where they have coffee and tea making facilities and complimentary bottles of water and a mini fridge. The night time turn down service was a nice touch! The hotel breakfast was the best I’ve had in a long time. The range of food, quality and taste was amazing! The staff are lovely! They are hard working but always have time for you. Very polite, quite simply the best service I’ve had on holiday. They were lovely.
