We booked the Royal Level because the heated pool was important for our 2 year old daughter to swim in. We were here 2 years ago and it really was a joy. Unfortunately this time around either the heating is not working or the hotel is not heating it to a comfortable temperature. It’s too cold for our daughter to use. If a heated pool is important for your holiday, best not to book this hotel. Rooms are also showing their age, I was expecting that they’d have been renovated since our last visit. Unfortunately not, they’re showing their age and a skirting tile has also fully fallen off the wall in our current room. Staff in restaurants also less attentive than they once were. It’s a shame, we returned to this hotel expecting better.

The hotel is located very close to the airport. Although transfers aren’t provided, a taxi costs around 20 euros. The Royal Level is absolutely worth the money. I can be quite picky about food at all-inclusive resorts, but the experience here was exceptional — both the breakfast and dinner were excellent in terms of quality and service. The Royal Level also gives you access to a private pool, which is definitely a highlight. Drinks are brought directly to your sunbed, and Nuria and Victor offered incredibly friendly, attentive service. They were always there when needed and delivered every order with a smile. Overall, this is definitely a place I’d love to come back to.

We have just returned (couple) and enjoyed a great stay. Stayed half board. The service and food were both excellent and the Royal level restaurant was one of the highlights. We didn't stay around the hotel or use any of the pools but it was always a pleasure to return to the hotel in the evenings. Thnaks to Francesca, the customer care manager for looking after us

Chosen as close to the airport and easy to get to. The main stay was great. Plenty of choice on restaurants and reasonably good service. Painful check in - really doesn’t have to take 30 mins from arrival to getting key for room. Five other parties in front on arrival and no management of expectations from the staff. 21 mins standing and waiting and then ten mins of doing forms. Poor and painful. There is a “Royal Level” reception but this was closed. On the final evening we ordered chicken and a wonderful meal arrived but it turned out to be pink inside and not cooked. No one seemed too concerned. Definitely worth a trip in to the nature reserve, which the photos attached are from. Want to give it five stars but the start of any trip with a poor check taints the experience for me. Such a simple thing to get right.

We stayed at Barceló Tenerife Royal Level for 5 nights at the end of June and honestly, it was amazing. The hotel has a really unique vibe — the design is modern but warm, and every spot feels like a photo opportunity. It’s probably the most beautiful Barceló I’ve been to so far. We booked the Royal Level and it was 100% worth it. You get access to separate areas, better drinks, and basically unlimited food — every night was a different cuisine, and everything we tried was great. No stress, just chill and enjoy. One of the highlights was a short hike in the natural reserve right next to the hotel. Super peaceful and easy to do if you want a break from the pool or beach. Overall, the whole experience felt special — relaxing but with a lot of little details that made it stand out. Would definitely go back.
