There were a few negatives to our stay, the location of the hotel is VERY windy, although the pool area is largely shielded from the wind. The pool is lovely but they need a better system for allocating the sun beds, the time old tradition of getting your towel down early is in full force here. The staff were for the most part very helpful and polite, with a few notable exceptions who, when faced with something they don't understand, simply shrugged their shoulders and walked off. The entertainment needs bringing in to the 21st century as well. The spa was very good too, although book your treatments before you go as it gets full up quite quickly. Having said that, the positives far out weigh the negatives. The food is the star of the show (we were all inclusive). There is a huge variety and lots of it, I don't think I had the same meal twice. Likewise the drinks choices, big brands and large measures all round, inducing cocktails. The rooms were lovely, modern and very clean. We had a wonderful (but very windy) view of the sea with a perfect sun rise every morning. Although it's a fairly big place, it gives the feel of being much smaller and quaint. We never bothered with the beach, preferring the pool but the beach is an easy walk if you want that. There's water sports too, especially wind sailing which is very popular here. There's plenty of local shops and bars close by and the Sunday market, a short cab ride away to Teguise, is very worth the trip. We enjoyed our stay very much, I'd give it a solid 8/10.

We're at the hotel at present and mid way through our 2 week stay. We're having a superb time at Barceló Teguise Beach Adult Only Hotel. The facilities are top notch, the food is simply amazing, the pool area (even at 90% hotel capacity) tends to have bed availability by the lovely pool. The biggest positive I have is the Staff. What a crew!!! They are so helpful and supportive. They work long days and maintain their high standards throughout, all with a smile, and service excellence. We'll definitely be back. Room 4 star relates to general size only. It's a little compact, but everything you need is there. The rooms are very clean and room service do a great job. We had only 1 issue with a room given to us which was close of a noisy area. The amazing staff immediately rectified that without a moments thought. Thank you team. Will

The hotel is well-served by activities, with 2 swimming pools, a gym, bars, and restaurants. There are also many restaurants, shops, gelaterias, and aquatic sports activities nearby. The room was very cosy, with a large and comfy bed, a high-pressure shower, and a great view of the ocean. Breakfast was so diverse that you could get lost there. They also have different thematic dinner options. Another good thing was that they have a person in the hotel explaining and selling day trips and activities, which makes life easier. Be aware of the towels keeping the sunbeds around the swimming pool, so if you want to get a place there, arrive early! The hotel doesn’t have parking, so you’ll need to drive around to find a spot, during the weekends, this task will be painful, but it’s free though. We had some issues with our room, but the hotel staff were very friendly and sorted it out by changing our room.

The place is lovely just a few wear and tears in the rooms. The pools are lovely. They are right by the beach as well. The views are beautiful. The bed is so comfortable. There is a good range of store, bars (including a beautiful Irish bar) and restaurant nearby. The Atlantic food is brilliant i can't fault it . The other restaurant breeze is disgusting however, i couldn't finish the food in that place. Their drinks aren't as nice as the bars next door . The staff are lovely they smile and say hello to me when I pass. It is a nice quiet hotel and it looks pretty

We spent ten days here, on a half board basis. The positives: the food was really great. Better than any other 4 star all inclusive hotel we’ve ever been to. Also, 90% of the staff are really lovely, especially in the dining room. Also, our room didn’t have large cockroaches dying in it, unlike the sports bar. It’s also just an aesthetically pleasing hotel, in general, and the daily activities put on by Antonia (the animator) are a lovely touch. The negatives: The other 10% of staff are a shower of C U Next Tuesdays. Scenario 1: The hotel has a policy that if you leave your pool lounger for over 60 minutes, your stuff gets taken away to free the lounger up for others. Fair enough, but this one particular tyrant gave away our lounger after we were gone not even 20 minutes. For reasons beyond a normal human being’s understanding, this man was obsessed with taking people’s things off their lounger, and frequently scoured the pool like a towel-hungry vulture, even when there were empty available loungers anyway. It got so stressful that my husband and I would have lunch separately, change separately, and always had one of us sitting on the lounger to secure it, which was ridiculous. Scenario 2: we sometimes went up to the bar to get cups of ice which we used to drink water throughout the day. I speak Spanish fluently but, one day, asked for my cup of ice and straw in English. As I was leaving, I heard the lady mockingly say to her coworker in Spanish that all I ever want is ice and a straw. The idea of a staff member being outraged at having to give someone ice on a 38 degree day when they’ve PAID FOR IT…it’s not only pathetic, it lowers the hotel’s value overall. Scenario 3: you don’t get any free drinks, NOR DRINKING WATER with with your half board dinner (!!!) I have never seen this before at a hotel. When I asked about this at reception, they proudly informed me that the tap water wasn’t safe to drink and therefore we would have to pay for a bottle every time. Congratulations, you don’t have proper plumbing, and well done on putting me in my place. Anyway: when you see the surrounding area, you’ll appreciate how nice the hotel is overall, but it is definitely overpriced for what you get.
