Had a great time. Overall it was a very memorable and pleasurable experience. The shuttle service was efficient and friendly. Despite being one of the last to arrive at the island airport, they made sure that no one was left behind. Check in was quick. Ocean views from the rooms were amazing. Everything was clean and comfortable. The AC leaked a bit on the first day but was promptly fixed once they were made aware of it. The food options were plentiful. Each night had a different cultural theme which allows you to experience different culinary flavors. For those who are less inclined to experience the different options, they have a bit of everything and should not be an issue to find something to suit your comfort level. Food options off property are plentiful. Service was amazing. Everyone seemed genuinely happy and pleasant to interact with. From the pool to the bars and to the restaurants, it was memorable. Whether you stay nearby or take a stroll into the different areas, the surrounding areas are scenic, safe and relaxing. Prices are a bit high depending on what you’re looking for but reasonable and consistent with options off property. The property was quiet and serene. Some other reviews mentioned loud music from the city side but we didn’t really experience any of that. The on site tour booking area was very helpful in finding excursions that suit your needs and budget. It gets busy at times so you may need to wait or come back at another time. From start to finish, it was a hassle free and well enjoyed vacation. Definitely worth a look.

Although I'm not a big fan of mass tourist/ all inclusive resorts, Barcelo Santiago was a very positive surprise. Perfectly situated with an eagle eye view over the ocean and the towering Los Gigantes cliffs. The pool area is quite nice (and calm, thanks to being adults only), the buffet selection is delicious and affordable, and the rooms are quite comfortable. You can't expect personalized service in such a big establishment and some features might be inconveniencing (eg. Limited parking slots, A/C switches off when you leave the room, and the entire second floor is on street level which isn't the best for privacy etc). The room has all the standard amenities you'd expect and a fantastic balcony with a view, though it feels a bit like a cabin in a cruise ship. The staff seems quite overworked but they're always courteous and helpful.

A beautiful location and amazing hotel. Buffet for breakfast and dinner was excellent, the room and whole hotel was spotless. We enjoyed the activities during the day and the pool bar. Staff were friendly and always willing to help, especially the animation team. Thank you we had a lovely stay and holiday.

Let's start with the positives, staff are very nice, room always cleaned, food selection was good and food at the pool bar fantastic! Very clean hotel, beds are amazing! Location of the hotel is lovely but the down sides sadley outweigh the good. I have stayed in many 5* hotels and have never come across a €50 a day to rent the outside 4 poster beds where all other hotels have been Included! the pools where cold 🥶 and you have to pay extra to use the sauna and steamer, you only get 1 towel change per week, and the people walking past the hotel room can see straight through so no privacy at all unless the curtains are closed. Unfortunately I wouldn't stay here again for the price we paid. Had a cheaper holiday at a 4* in lanzarote last year for a £1,000 less that included all the above.

The hotel is situated on beach, pool area has great view of the ocean. Breakfast here wqs phenomenal, truly the best Ive ever had in a hotel. It was very clean and the staff is great. The only downside for me was evening entertainment blasting full volume of live music or some kind of entertainment until 23 o'clock and us being so tired after full day of exploring the island it was a bit frustrating. Also the TV is not smart and you can only watch satellite TV.
