This is my first night at the hotel, and the experience has been excellent so far. The atmosphere is great, especially with the live music show. I want to give special recognition to Jose, who works at the bar during the show. He provided outstanding service—friendly, attentive, and very professional—even while the bar was busy. He truly helped make the night enjoyable and memorable. Based on my first night, I’m very happy with my stay and look forward to the rest of my time here.

I have stayed at a number of Barceló hotels and am never disappointed by the consistent standard, friendly staff, and variety of food. This hotel, however, will forever stand out for the spectacular location overlooking the Los Gigantes cliffs. The room was spacious and we paid the small extra fee for a room on the higher floors so the sea view over the pools was lovely. Definitely worth it! We booked half board as we don't drink alcohol and wanted to do some day trips out in our hire car. We paid for drinks and extra lunches we had and felt it was reasonably priced vs the All Inclusive price for which we wouldn't have got our moneys worth! Everything can be charged straight to the room to avoid carrying any money or you can pay on the spot if the preference is to control spending. We had a few days lounging around the pool and the activities were excellent! From Aqua Dance to Yoga, and darts to little games to win freebies! The team don't push you to join, as with some resorts, but there was no shortage of participants! My partner also used the gym and said it had great facilities with nice air con! The pools were lovely. There was a large pool that had a gradual slope into it, a smaller heated one that was lovely and warm on the clouder days, and a third medium sized pool which was a good depth for swimming. I find no faults with the hotel and have recommended it to numerous people who have enjoyed the many photos I have shared of the pools, sea, and incredible Los Gigantes cliffs.

Barceló Santiago Tenerife is a must visit hotel. The views are gorgeous, the hotel is clean and beautiful and the food and drinks are great. We went in October and were very lucky with the weather for the time of year, but for those slightly cooler days there was a heated pool to keep us warm. The entertainment staff are fantastic and the waiters are great, though some of them slightly less enthusiastic due to clearly being a little overworked. However this did not tarnish our stay and they still delivered high quality food and drinks. Our room was a superior double and had an amazing view of Mount Teide, the local beach and the island in the distance, perfect for sunset viewings. The room was equipped with tea and coffee facilities, a lovely shower and a comfortable bed. Most of all, the selling point of this hotel is the view, you almost feel like you don’t need to leave as the views you’d travel for are right there! The Log Gigantes cliffs, the surrounding islands and natural pools are all in viewing distance of your sunbed. I will definitely stay at this hotel again.

This was an extremely stressful and disappointing stay. Within the first hour of check-in, I had to contact maintenance because the Wi-Fi did not work, and again because the toilet would not stop running. The room also had a strong odor consistent with old water or flooding, making it feel damp and unsanitary. Later that evening, I encountered roaches in the room and had to kill two. Although I was told housekeeping did not see any roaches, when I returned to the room and turned on the lights, it was clear the bathroom was infested. The roaches appeared to be coming from beneath a cabinet showing visible water damage. I was moved to a different room, but was explicitly told the move was only for one night. The replacement room was extremely cold, and even with extra blankets I was freezing throughout the night. What made this experience worse was how it was handled afterward. I worked directly with the manager, Justine L., who presented verbal options regarding refunds or comped nights that influenced my decision to stay. After relying on those representations and canceling another hotel reservation, the hotel later denied that those terms were ever offered. While staff were polite, the room conditions and lack of accountability made this stay very distressing. I would not recommend this hotel.

We had a really lovely stay here, could not fault it at all. The staff were very pleasant and friendly and the food was great, we are both vegetarian and there were loads of options. Breakfast was fantastic especially. Our room was lovely with a sea view and the bed was so comfortable. We enjoyed the pools and found that there was always somewhere to sit and relax. Overall a perfect holiday and I wouldn't hesitate to recommend it.
