The hotel has a beautiful view of the ocean and the cliffs. The hotel team was great, but the overall standard of the hotel is at most three stars. It was disappointing that upon arrival there wasn’t a single bottle of water in the room, even though we had booked a deluxe room. Apparently, to receive water you have to be registered in their Barceló Club. There were very few hangers. The furnishings are older, and there is limited space in the bathroom. The balcony is missing a table, and the chairs were torn. The bathtub drain did not work properly. At breakfast you are mostly served pre-prepared or processed items. The pastry section consists only of defrosted products. On the other hand, I would like to praise the older lady who prepares made-to-order omelets every morning — she was truly excellent. The biggest disappointment was that they did not allow us a late check-out, even though the hotel was half empty. We asked to stay just one hour longer, but the receptionist automatically said no without any consideration. The location is amazing, but the hotel still has a lot to improve.

Best value for money hotel! The atmosphere is really nice and relaxed. There are a lot of activities to do in the hotel - big shoutout to Manuel from the animation team, he’s super engaging and you can tell he genuinely loves his job. The rooms are clean and the views are amazing. I’d recommend booking on the western side, floors 2–5. Breakfast and dinner are very good, there’s something for everyone.

Barceló Positives El Olivo restaurant (à la carte) offers very good food and attentive service. The overall layout of the hotel and the pool areas is pleasant, although an additional heated pool would be a welcome improvement, as there is currently only a small and rather uninviting jacuzzi. Negatives The rest of the hotel experience felt quite basic, and at times disappointing, particularly for a five-star property. Parking in the hotel garage is expensive (€22 per day). The spa is poorly managed: access must be booked in advance, yet it is often overcrowded, with insufficient seating and a water circuit that consists largely of cold pools. The saunas are also very small, making the facility feel inadequate and not worth the cost. The rooms themselves are fairly basic, and the bathroom layout is impractical — for example, towel hooks are positioned above the bidet in the toilet chamber, with no convenient alternative for hanging towels. More generally, there is a lack of hooks or places to hang items such as jackets, despite the presence of a large wardrobe. During our stay, windy conditions caused the balcony door to rattle throughout the night, which was disruptive. Additionally, the design prioritises aesthetics over guest comfort: balcony lights remain on at night and cannot be controlled individually, making the room quite bright even with the curtains drawn. If guests wish to sleep early (e.g. around 10 pm), this becomes very inconvenient. The so-called “Balinese beds” by the pool are essentially round cushioned loungers that require an additional fee, including the purchase of a bottle of inexpensive cava. This felt unnecessary, particularly as the pool area was largely empty due to poor weather. Overall While there are a few highlights, particularly the restaurant and general layout, the hotel does not meet the expectations of a five-star experience and would benefit from improvements in both service and guest-focused design.

The only good thing about this Hotel is the location and the Balcony with the view. The Interieur in the room is old. Also the room is not really clean. You better not move without shoes… in the night it’s very noisy outside even you close the windows. For a 4* hotel i Expect free water for drinking in the room. But there is none

Stayed here for 8 nights in March 2026, unfortunately the weather wasn’t great for a large proportion of our holiday, as it was like this when we arrived we didn’t realise to start with how much the hotel changed it’s workings to accommodate the weather. So my thoughts, let’s get the bad stuff out of the way first. Reception - think they have gone to the same “reception staff” training as my local doctor’s surgery. The dealings I had were militant and not particularly friendly or welcoming. On check out you have to get your bands cut off - no option to extend our room and All Inclusive finished with your bands cut off removal. I realise a lot of hotels are like this - but at least we were given a voucher for lunch which was appreciated. Onto the good stuff - it’s clean 👍🏼 I do yoga most mornings so see parts of the room that most guests don’t i.e. under the beds and tables etc and can say is one of the cleanest places I’ve stayed. Plenty of bar staff and waiters - all work very hard and great tribute to the hotel. These guys obviously didn’t train at the same place as the reception staff… really friendly, know your drinks order before you do and take pride in delivering a great service and product. Sunbeds - on the couple of days we got the good weather, good wide open space with spectacular views. Great pool towels that cover most of the bed. Plenty of beds all day. Too much space taken up with additional cost beds though… Restaurant - just the main buffet area. I don’t believe the other à la carte restaurant was open. Wide variety of food and options. Usual buffet style but not as bad as the canteen vibe other reviews state. Due to the weather we couldn’t sit out every day but didn’t spoil it. As usual it’s rude people that push in or don’t have any sense that spoils the experience. Every egg you can imagine (even poached) at breakfast and even a separate omelette station that helps with the queues. For those of us (me) that likes a glass of bubbles in a morning, plenty available and 3 different types. My only criticism would be that when they are pushed on the show cooking - a little care goes out of the window serving undercooked food and bust poached eggs. We were also told that when the restaurant was open All inclusive wasn’t allowed in the pool bar 🤷🏼‍♀️ If you’re looking for a good Adults only All inclusive hotel with amazing views I would definitely recommend, great hotel and good value - we would return in the future ❤️
