The hotel has a beautiful view of the ocean and the cliffs. The hotel team was great, but the overall standard of the hotel is at most three stars. It was disappointing that upon arrival there wasn’t a single bottle of water in the room, even though we had booked a deluxe room. Apparently, to receive water you have to be registered in their Barceló Club. There were very few hangers. The furnishings are older, and there is limited space in the bathroom. The balcony is missing a table, and the chairs were torn. The bathtub drain did not work properly. At breakfast you are mostly served pre-prepared or processed items. The pastry section consists only of defrosted products. On the other hand, I would like to praise the older lady who prepares made-to-order omelets every morning — she was truly excellent. The biggest disappointment was that they did not allow us a late check-out, even though the hotel was half empty. We asked to stay just one hour longer, but the receptionist automatically said no without any consideration. The location is amazing, but the hotel still has a lot to improve.

First time in Canaries and so pleased that we chose Barcelo Santiago. Great place to stay. Only down side was the violinist; you will need ear plugs and paracetamol ;) Main reason for review is to mention cycling facilities. The bike storage room is good but it is very small compared to similar hotels in Majorca for example. The room was empty to begin with but a large group arrived and swamped it, so I ended up leaving my bike on my room balcony, which was no issue for the hotel and was better for me.

This is one of my favourite hotels I've been to, the views were wow! Beautiful is an understatement! We can't wait to visit here again, the room was amazing, large and overlooked the natural pool. The bluest water I have ever seen, and the pool was at a comfortable temperature. We spent 5 days lazing in the sun, eating good food, and the best part was the free pour of alcohol. I mean it is adults only! We went in October, and the weather was perfect, holding at a steady 27C every day, and the sun was hot! Entertainment was great as well and the team working here are so lovely and helpful. Whilst it was busy, especially during dinner time, the buffet was always topped up and always enough space on the sun beds. I highly recommend an off peak getaway here if you want an amazing adult-only hotel.

In general - it's not terrible, but definitely not what you would expect from a 4-stars hotel. Not worth the price. We found 2 cockroaches (!) in the room. The hotel could use some renovation. There were no hangers in the room, in the bathroom there were two above the bidet, nothing next to the shower. There was no room for cosmetics in the shower, no toilet brush, the toilet itself was in a very small area (good luck if you are a bigger person). Mirror right in front of the bed - terrible idea. No table, but there was a small desk. The shower was quite big and comfortable. Cosmetics were okay, but not great, probably cheap. At night we could hear every word from the caraoke downstairs or a nearby bar, the window was also moving and making a lot of noise due to the wind (they fixed it when we talked to the front desk). We didn't pay for a view and we still could see the ocean from the balcony, which was a nice surprise. Food was quite tasty, fresh and offered a lot of choices, different options each day, including things that were cooked right before serving. Some things were over/undercooked or too salty, some were amazing, so to sum up - not great, not terrible. My main problem was lack of information, labels were mixed or non-existent, no information about allergens at all. Service: Most employees are super nice and helpful, some not that professional (talking to a client in English and at the same time gossiping with other employees in Spanish). Pool: Three, a small one was heated. Incredible views. Parking: Free spots on the street but difficult to find. Paid ones 20 euros/day. Location: Great, right next to the ocean.

Spend your hard-earned money elsewhere. They lure you in with misleading images of the view, and once you’ve booked and paid they no longer care. I booked this hotel and paid a premium specifically for the beautiful view of the Los Gigantes cliffs shown in the room selector during the booking process. What I received was nothing like the marketing material promised. I raised the issue several times during my stay, but the response was simply a reference to the room category and “subject to availability.” There was no real acknowledgment that the expectation had been created by their own promotional material. When a hotel markets a specific experience, guests should reasonably expect it to match what is presented. I was first told that the information could be found elsewhere on the website. When I showed them a recording of the booking process with no mention of view variations, the explanation changed to: “We always remind our guests that the images on the website are indicative and that the perspective may vary between the sea and the cliffs. Where exactly is that stated during the booking process? Nowhere. This feels like false advertising and shameful behavior that should not be rewarded. I will not be returning and can only advise others to choose a hotel that values honesty and does not attempt to justify misleading marketing with weak excuses. Reply to owner: And still not sorry enough to actually do anything about it during my stay or afterwards. Your apology rings hollow.
