This was one of our best experiences ever! The rooms are spacious, and the air flows freely through them. They are exceptionally clean and comfortable, with simple but precise furniture, there is a place for everything! The shower outside is essential for a quick rinse after the beach. The pool areas are really good, and the wellness area outside is very inspiring! This place is a hidden jewel in one of the most beautiful parts of this magical island. You are surrounded by nature and bird songs! But the best of all are the people who make this place really special! The treatment is a thousand stars, and each individual makes sure you feel unique and welcome. We came in as customers and left with sincere friends. Our manager Mel made sure that we felt the love and care in this place. We'll definitely be back many times!

Lovely hotel, rooms are spacious, clean, and an extra bonus with the outdoor shower on the balcony. Breakfast is fantastic, and the lunch at the pool bar is superb. The wellness spa has some amazing treatments, 5 tried between us. Fantastic Rosa gave me one of the best massages I have ever received and is incredibly knowledgeable in her area. I can highly recommend it! All the staff at the hotel were super friendly and the service to a high standard. They were always looking out for you and a special thank you to Victor in the pool bar. In regards to dinner, although all cooked to a great standard and a lot of pride going in to all of it, there could have been a few more choices as it was a little limited. However, the salad selection was amazing, plenty of choice and fresh. I would definitely recommend this hotel and also go back if I had the chance.

My mum, my sister and myself spent 4 nights at barceló Portinatx, and we absolutely fell in love with the area and the overall vibe of the hotel. The room was beautiful and the staff were incredibly helpful and friendly. I would highly recommend this hotel to anyone looking to visit Portinatx and the surrounding areas ! :)

We have just spent 11 days totally relaxing at this gorgeous hotel. The rooms are spacious, the bed was soooo comfortable and the whole hotel is spotlessly clean . The sunsets are amazing. The staff are very friendly and efficient- shout out to Eduardo the chef at the pool bar - delicious food every lunchtime and Rocio, Victor and Paolo for the drinks service. Buffet restaurant for breakfast and dinner was great - loads of choice and very fresh. Again great service from Brais and Javuer. However our star was Ana in the lobby bar. She makes great cocktails and has an amazing memory as well as being very friendly and efficient. Overall we had a fantastic holiday and would thoroughly recommend this hotel. Please make something more of Magical though - you have a wonderful space there which could be amazing with a little more thought

My wife and I are fortunate enough to stay at Barcelo hotels many times throughout each year on our travels and we really do like them although the standards can vary. We had not stayed at Barcelo Portinatx before so we were unsure how it would be. It is our last day today and we can honestly say that we are sad to be leaving. The hotel is not perfect but the attentive staff and the great location make up for some of the minor shortcomings. We had a fridge that wasn’t working so the staff replaced it. Our jacuzzi was leaking so they fixed it. The tv wasn’t screening any English channels so Michael helped us connect an hdmi cable to our iPad so we that we could screen UK tv which was great as I wanted to watch the US Golf Open. It could be argued that those issues should not exist in the first place but at least the hotel quickly fixed them. We loved our suite. It had a massive balcony with a Balinese Bed, sun loungers, chairs, tables and a jacuzzi so my wife who loves the sunshine was more than happy. The suite was nice with a lounge area with an additional tv. The minor issues are that the shower floor leaks into the room under the shower door. We stuffed the floor mat down there to help stop that which helped a bit. The shower did smell a bit musty but that is probably down to drainage. The Balinese Bed framework needs a bit of attention as the metal spars sometimes come out and clang a bit during the night if there is any wind. The car park is a municipal piece of scrubland which isn’t ideal for a nice hotel. It is important when you arrive that you can safely remove your luggage into reception. This car park makes matters difficult. The restaurant & bar across the road (Magical) is owned by Barcelo but it should be advertised more as it is a fantastic place with live music is is often empty. The outdoor gym could be better with the addition of a treadmill and cross-trainer as it needs more cardio equipment. Like I say these are minor issues and did not spoil our stay. So what was great about the hotel? The food served up by Paco the chef was so tasty and there was a lot of variety however the food was sometimes tepid and should really be hotter, Brais one of the young waiters is very attentive and develops a good rapport with the guests during dinner, Michael at reception is ever so helpful and has a real “can do” attitude if you have any problems - definitely the “go to guy”, July at reception is great if you want to know anything about the island such as where to park etc, Nico the porter is extremely nice and helpful with luggage etc, Mell the Guest Experience Manager is a lovely girl who is always around for a chat and support when needed, and Noor the Deputy Manager is a great ambassador for Barcelo as she takes onboard any suggestions and is really positive in her approach to make your holiday experience the best. She will make a fantastic General Manager in due course. All in all the staff are mostly a young team but full of enthusiasm to make sure that you have the best time so top marks to them all. I have missed out some of the staff as I can’t remember their names so I apologise for that. Bottom line is that we have given the hotel a 5 star rating although it is probably a 4.5 because there are some minor issues to deal with but the real test is answering the question whether we will return and that is a definite “yes”.
