Stayed here for 5 nights AI, we paid for a deluxe sea view room although the view was lovely (view of front pool and beach) I would have preferred a full sea view more round the front, however we didn't feel the need to complain or anything. The food was brilliant, loads of variety and really tasty options available each day. The wine is served from the bottle so not watered down, and tasted very good. If you want water it is bottled mineral water which was fantastic. The beer was Amstel not my favourite, however as it was served so cold it was lovely. The coffee could be improved as could the fruit juices. The entertainment was very good, the entertainment staff were lovely. All the hotel staff were very nice and attentive. We found the beach quite shaded so ended up at the family pool more as it felt a lot warmer and sunnier there. Rooms were cleaned really well with fresh towels daily. Would definitely stay again.

This is a great hotel! The two pools and the beach being so close together is brilliant. Room was comfortable and all the staff were great. We went all inclusive for 7 nights but only had our breakfast in the hotel so can’t comment on the lunch / dinner. Breakfast was nice but the buffet was packed every morning! The Snacks and drinks by the pool were great. Only one issue. We are a couple in our early 30s so taking the stairs isn’t an issue but if you rely on elevators you will be waiting a while for the elevator every time you need to use it and it will hinder your experience. Other than that everything was perfect.

We've just stayed here this past week and it has just been so lovely. My partner ended up proposing on the beach so it holds a sentimental spot in my heart now. The hotel itself was stunning, very posh and modern. The view from the little pool was stunning, we had one of the ground floor walk up balconies and was perfect if you were wanting to sit out but also pop to the pool bar. The staff have all been so lovely and very accommodating but I need to mention one person in particular who has just went above and beyond; that is Diego the chef. I have a dairy allergy and always find it hard when eating out to find things that won't make me ill. Diego made my holiday so much more enjoyable just knowing that I was safe in his hands and he always asked if I wanted dessert as well which was always unreal and always looked unbelievable. He has been absolutely spot on, his warm welcoming smile always made our evening when we'd go for tea. I really hope the hotel knows what a absolute star he is. I honestly couldn't recommend this hotel enough.

Honestly I don’t get any of the bad reviews. The stay was amazing. Rooms are clean and kept clean on daily basis. Drinks, especially those served on the evening, look nothing like your standard all inclusive drinks. The food is great, every day with every meal there’s something special served for each meal, like on demand custom omelettes for breakfast, fresh seafood for lunch, pasta served from a block of melting cheese for dinner. The location speaks for itself, you exit the hotel directly onto a sandy beach with gorgeous clod sides you can use to jump into the sea. With all that, what made our stay remarkable experience were the staff. We never met a group of such friendly, positive, hilarious people. We rarely stay up n hotel during day when traveling but those people made it hard - we just wanted to hang out. Our special thanks for a truly amazing experience goes to Miguel, Diego and Laticia - bar/waiter crew - and Chris and Cynthia - from animation team. Those guys will stay on our memory for a long time. With all the positives about the hotel, if those guys ever quit and go to the most obscure, shady hotel - that’s our next vacation destination!

We arrived at the Barceló close to midnight and check-in was smooth. The receptionist informed us that food was available downstairs since we hadn’t eaten. Unfortunately, this was the first of many disappointments. The food provided was simply leftovers from dinner service which had ended 3 hours prior so had been left out for hours, unrefrigerated, and clearly unsafe to eat. We told the staff who shrugged and just said it was fine and no other options. We ended up having to leave the hotel and buy food elsewhere despite booking an all-inclusive holiday. Our room was another letdown. We paid extra for a full sea view, but what we received was mostly a view of the beach and buildings with only a small section of sea visible. When we raised this with reception, we were told it still counted as a “sea view” and that we would need to pay even more to change rooms. This is terrible advertising from the hotel as it shows side sea view and sea view rooms available online so when booking a sea view this is what we expected. The air conditioning was also extremely weak, and while the room did have a fridge, it wasn’t stocked. Even though it was advised when booking this would be and when asking the lady at the desk, we were told it would be further costs to have this. There was no further resolution to any of your issues raised and we just had to make do. To make matters worse, we had a full power outage in our room from 3 a.m. until 9 am, which reception noted but did nothing about. Throughout our stay, we felt neglected. Waiters walked past us regularly, and when they did take our order, drinks were often forgotten or never arrived. The general attitude of the staff was unfriendly and unwelcoming, leaving us feeling as though we were being ignored. They seem to prioritise some guests over others. I think they just do not care. The nicest person we met was the lady who cleaned our room despite not being able to speak English. The food was always hit or miss, there was never any set theme to dinners or lunches nothing really went together and was more just random dishes. On top of that, the lifts were unreliable and often not working. The final straw came when my partner went to watch football at the bar—a service the hotel had offered all week—only to be told the bar was closed for a private event. At an all-inclusive resort, this is simply unacceptable! The only positives were that the rooms were cleaned well and the hotel is located directly on the beach - though the rooms do need thorough maintenance as there were marks on the walls, the bathroom had bits falling apart and was overall rundown. Unfortunately, everything else fell far short of the standard expected of a four-star hotel. For the price we paid (nearly £2,000), this was nowhere near value for money, and we left feeling extremely disappointed and frankly like we hadn’t even had a holiday. This has been the worst holiday experience I’ve had to date and frankly going off the previous reviews and the hotels responses on similar issues, it doesn’t seem like anything is being done to rectify this.
