Baraza Resort; I don't know where to start but this is one of those places you wish you never had to leave. From the reception, at the beautiful and classic foyer decorated with classic Arabic ornaments, to our room which to say the least was more of a bungalow, the experience was equal to none. Rooms were soo spacious and well decorated by classic fusion of Zanzibar and Arabic cultures, making it appealing to the eye. Just Outside was a plunge pool for us with soft leather beach couches aside. Front was a long shore of the Indian Ocean beach, white and soft sands just gushing our feet as we walk while breezes cooled our warm bodies. Food was something else here, variety of everything from local to intercontinental, tasty and delicious. Drinks were unlimited, considering our tour operator suggested we go for all-inclusive. In short this was one of those moments you wished to never come to an end. Amazing services and very respectful and friendly staff.

The hotel is phenomenal. We rented a 2-bed villa with private pool. It was clean, luxurious and very private. The service exceptional with special attention from the staff at every turn. The food was amazing buffet and a la carte options. The entire staff is to be commended for their friendliness, attention to detail, and going the extra mile. A special thank you to Esther who sourced special seafood dishes for us to make our experience even more memorable. We will definitely not hesitate to return and recommend it warmly to our friends and family. Again, thank you!

My family and I loved every minute of our stay at Baraza - it is easily one of the best hotels we ever been to. The premises are pristine, the architecture is grand, the service is extraordinary. Our little kids loved the kids club and pools, we enjoyed the personalised food, caring service, excellent tours and the delightful hospitality. The only minor point: We visited end of March and there was a lot of rain and wind - resulting in a lot of smelly seaweed on the beach. This might be different at other times of the year. But, sadly, we couldn’t really use the beach as much as we wanted to - it was definitely not as nice as on the pics.

Rooms were great and very clean. What they do best is their exceptional service. Food was very good and they are happy to fulfill every wish. They were happy to prepare extra vegan dishes for me for breakfast lunch and dinner even if they had other vegan options on the menu/buffet. The kitchen crew was simply outstanding, thank you so much!

This is a gem of a hotel. The grounds are gorgeous and expansive and the rooms are impeccable. The pool is big and absolutely lovely, but most importantly it is on a gorgeous stretch of the beach. I am a true cynic about all inclusive hotels, but this one was truly exceptional. Although most meals were either a buffet or set menu with two options, they would not hesitate to make any dish you prefer on demand. All of the food was very fresh and the Chef and sous chef were regularly monitoring the meal services to ensure the best quality. The spa is absolutely gorgeous, and I had a wonderful massage by their specialist. Most importantly for me, the service staff is friendly, kind, and really does their best to ensure you are having a great time. They also provide various water activities, including exploring the ocean floor during low tide which goes out wayyyy farther than you can ever imagine, it is truly mesmerizing. This is the hotel to stay in when you choose not to do to many outside excursions and truly want a great relaxing and luxurious experience in your hotel. The only downside to this establishment is how far it is from Stone Town and the North Beach where most activities are on the island. So if your ideal trip includes day trips and exploration, this is not the place I would choose to stay in. Overall, my stay was absolutely lovely.
