I've just had the most wonderful stay at Banyan Tree Samui and everything from the service to the food has been fantastic. The property itself is gorgeous, and the staff couldn't be nicer. In particular I reallt appreciated: - Having a villa host to help with queries: Abby was my villa host and she went above and beyond to make sure my husband's birthday was really special - My spa treatment was amazing, my masseuse Lek was wonderful - We had 'destination dining' on the beach on our last night and this was fantastic. The setting and food were stunning and our waitress Gafew was so hospitable and lovely. She really brought the whole evening together. I would definitely recommend staying at this beautiful hotel for a couple's getaway.

We stayed here for 10 days and it was INCREDIBLE! Service is second to non, we married here too and nothing was too much trouble. We were able to change the wedding day due to the weather. Anna was an amazing host. Som is literally a wedding guru, she made the day perfect! Bestie, Eng (and another 2 girls who work at the sands restaurant, cant remember their name) were all incredible. Genuinely so sad to say goodbye to the staff! The rooms are gorgeous, the golf carts are fun and make you feel very bougie as you're driven round the resort. Quiet at night time, not to far to lamai, (download the grab app for ease of taxi's) I have never been so sad to return home. Can't wait to come back. Good job to all the staff. You're amazing!!!

Stayed at both Banyan Tree and Four Seasons Koh Samui in January 2026. At half the price of Four Seasons, Banyan Tree is impressive. It's food was outstanding and better than FS. The room facilities were excellent with extra amenties like international chargers. Where it could improve would be communication. While they have a personal concierge service, unlike FS, who a day or so before introduce themselves for anything and everything via whats app, BT send a multi layered email with PDF brochure, a QR code that lead to frustraiton, and a whats app number but without clear instructions about what to use it for. They also didn't offer a personalised induction to everything about the resort on arrival. FS were great at this. Also, a lot of their information, like menus was via QR code which isn't great if you want a break from your phone or prefer paper format. However the facliities and food were hard to beat.

We spent a week at Banyan Tree Koh Samui in late October to early November for a couples’ escape, and it was exactly what we hoped for. Our Pool Villa was beautiful and spotless, with plenty of privacy, an easy 5/5. Service was the standout. Tak and the team seemed to read our minds: they remembered our coffee order and offered it the moment we sat down to breakfast; after an Elephant Sanctuary visit left our shoes muddy, someone immediately offered to clean them; and when we asked for an ice bucket one evening, they kept topping it up without us ever having to ask again. Truly top notch and worthy of 5/5. Breakfast overall was very good (4/5), with lots of fresh, high quality fruit and a solid variety. Compared with similar luxury resorts it is just shy of exceptional; a couple more made to order or rotating signature items would push it over the top. The beach setup and service were great too, easy to get loungers and quick help when needed. We also used the gym a lot and it was always clean and ready to go, with everything neatly stocked. Check in and check out were smooth, the buggy service around the resort was efficient, and WiFi worked perfectly throughout our stay. All in, we loved the calm, romantic vibe and the thoughtful touches from Tak and the team. We would happily come back. Villa 5/5, Service 5/5, Breakfast 4/5.

We chose the elopement package at Banyan Samui to celebrate getting married, along with a three-night stay, and it truly exceeded every expectation. The entire experience was incredible. The staff created the most beautiful wedding ceremony for us—every detail was thoughtful and perfect, and all the hard work that went into our day did not go unnoticed. A special thank you to our Villa Host, Chan, who was so welcoming, accommodating, and genuinely kind throughout our stay. Another big thank you to Som for organizing our ceremony and supporting us every step of the way. And of course, thank you to the photographers, cooks, our officiant Johnny, and everyone else who helped make our day unforgettable. If anyone is wanting to celebrate their wedding here, you will be in great hands. I really can't thank the staff enough!!
